Turkish automobile market has been shrinked by 35% in 2018
Manifacturers sold only 620.937 units in this year.
However, It is time to look forward.
First positive signs of 2019 comes
in the shape of taxes. However
we are waiting for increase in the gasoline
and diesel prices.
But we are not here to bother you with these type of problems.
Today we are looking for the models which we are waiting in the 2019.
To Audi till Volvo... We are going to see
new models or next gen models in 2019.
We are not including the new Mercedes-Benz CLA Series and
Toyota Supra because they already revealed.
You can check them on our site. Let's look at the others.
Audi A3 was around since 2013 but
at last, A3 is transitioning on its new generation.
It was the first car which used the now famous MQB platform.
A3 is transitioning to newest MQB platform which means
bigger cabin area and lower weight.
Audi A3 Sportback will use 1.0 TFSI, 1.5 TFSI
and 1.6 TDI mills under its bonnet.
Also its hotter version S3 was seen in the wild.
BMW 1 Series is the another premium
compact model we are waiting in 2019.
Unfortunately 1 Series is coming with FWD platform.
That's a bummer... We are waiting
to see new BMW 1 Series at the Geneva Motor Show.
By the way... Don't believe everything you read on the internet...
1 Series belongs in the C-Segment.
Land Rover called Defender as 110 in 1983..
Nowadays it carries the name of "90" and
it will be renewed in 2019.
We are waiting this legendary SUV
in the first months of the 2019. With its new design and techs,
Land Rover is waiting a huge win from Defender.
Also, it might have a pickup version.
MINI is a part of BMW since 2001. With BMW's new emmission initiation
MINI will be producing the zero emission cars in the 2019.
We saw its concept derivative on the 2017 Frankfurt Auto Show.
Compact EV' production ready version is going
to reveal in the 2019. BMW will produce the car
in China.
GLB is going to joing Mercedes' massive lineup of SUV's.
We have a lot of spy shots in our hands.
Look, I have one over here. Produced as
a little G-Series model, GLB will share the same underpinnings with new A-Series.
Also, we are waiting for a AWD GLB 35 as
you can see on this shot.. GLB is coming on the summer.
With its allience with PSA,
one of the Opel's important model will become Corsa.
Long awaited new generation bring a electric version with itself.
Currently, Corsa is using naturally asphirated 1.4 L gasoline engine,
and 1.3 L diesel unit. Next gen Corsa
could use the similiar mills from Peugeot, 1.2 L Pure Tech,
and 1.6 L BlueHDi units.
With its new design and technologies,
208 is representing Peugeot in the
B-Segment. Also it is gaining a new gen in the 2019.
This part was hard, that's why I read it slowly.
Supermini will have the same front fascia
as 508, also gaining a new electric version
like its cousin, Opel Corsa.
I mean, fully electric..
We were waiting
the new Clio on the Paris Auto Show. However Renault
is pointing the Geneva at the matter.
Clio will have the hybrid engine which will be
produced in Turkey, Clio was waving diesel engines.
However, we will see that unit in Turkey.
SEAT Leon is important for the Spanish based manifacturer.
Because SEAT will show a C-Segment
hatch prototype in this year, and this concept
will bring the new design language which we will see on the other SEAT models.
We will see the concept on Geneva. Production version will
be on Frankfurt. After that, Seat will accept the orders.
Volkswagen is bringing the Golf
in the 8. generation in 2019.
We've seen its LED rear lights back in 2018.
Also we see its production version in the spy shots.
However I think there are some black panels and tapes to hide some design cues.
Rumour mill tells us the GTI version will be 300 hp.
Before that, Volkswagen can suprise us
with R420. I hope they do.
Volkswagen will produce the new Golf in 2019. So reveal
will be close.
These are the cars we waited most
on 2019 as Motor1 Turkey team.
