A lot of people think you have to talk a lot, but that is not it according to you?
No, I think everyone has it.
But you have to look for it in yourself.
And then suddenly you have it, and then youll suddenly understand it.
And then you know what you are doing, and it goes naturally!
And with me it was like, in one day I was like Hey!
I can do this, and it's going really great!
When did you find out that you could do it? That you could sell?
When did you make your first big deal?
After 2, 3 months.
After 2, 3 months it suddenly went very well and then I did the same thing every time.
And I still do that now, 15 years later. And what do you mean by "the same"?

At what age did you buy your first Porsche?
Uuh, 49. 49 years old when you bought your first Porsche? Yes.

That has always stayed with me.
But what kind of features does this car have, which you also have as a sales man.
A lot of speed, quick thinking, quick answers.

Speed is the word, I think.
My father, Gerard van Lennep, he used to write for Carros Netherlands.

And there I learned a lot, and read a lot.
My father was a writer and he always wrote about cars.
So I grew up with this Autofever. Yes.

I now have two sons.
So my dream is to do that with them.

So this is a Porsche 964 from 1990

back then it was one of the modern cars of the Porsche era
after the
G-Models
In the 90' it was a very modern Porsche

the car is two years older than me
but it is insane
I just roll down the hill here
and I still have to work and steer

The seats are adjusted to a taller man
I almost can't push the clutch all the way down
the seat belt is pretty high
It probalby looks weird how I sit in the car
No no, it looks very sexy
But it is very cool. I love the manual gearbox
You really feel the entire road in this car
I feel every bump on the road
the steering wheel has lots of feedback
you kinda have to fight with the steering wheel
It doesn't has power steering does it?
no, but it still has power steering support
ok
but you cannot compare that to the new cars
with the 991 GT3 for example
if you want to turn around that is kinda difficult
yes, that is more difficult
the brakes are basically as good as the brakes of modern cars
I have to say the brakes are pretty good
the car is actually a bit nervous
because it has no driving aids like ESC
so it is kinda nervous on the rear wheels
when you drive it faster
then your GT3 is way easier to drive than this car
especially with rear wheel steering
This is one of the reasons why I really wanted to try such an older car
I actually don't know anything about it
and I'm happy that we met each other at the Wörthersee
because I always wanted to know how such an old Porsche is like to drive
I only know the new ones

just to feel the difference
so what do you say? What's your first impression?
My first impression is: You really feel the car

You feel it. You have to work while driving
How many km did you drive here?
About 800km from my home

The sound of this car is insane
It's the old Boxer engine as it was built
This is what the Porsche is all about
and
once you owned such a car it is very very difficult to sell it again
the modern engineering is build in almost all cars

I think that this is something absolutely different
the passion for older cars
is way more intense than it is for modern cars

I have to say that I actually prefer to drive modern cars because I grew up with them
I love the modern cars
I couldn't be happy with such a car as a daily driver
because I don't have the necessary love for such a car
I think you had to grow up with it

Nowadays it is not a car to drive early to the bakery
but it is a car for the weekend, to have some fun with it
but the modern cars are better for now
the gearbox is easy to handle isn't it?
yes it is easy, but the clutch is a bit stiff
you really have to kick it back

in a modern manual car you can hit the clutch with your tiptoe

yes, you really have to work here, especially me as a woman
I really have to work here while driving
but I thought it would be worse!
I also have the bucket seats in my Porsche that I cannot adjust
I can fold them so I have more room for luggage in the back
Yes I have them as well
I cannot adjust anything else
But I really like the position and how you sit in the Porsche bucket seats
yes
But when you are the passenger and you want to sleep during long distant tours, that is not possible
that's right
it is even more extrem with the new Porsche GT3RS seats which has the 918 Spyder seats
yes
and they are even stiffer and harder
you can adjust even less on them
So if you sit for a long time at McDonalds
it's getting uncomfortable
it is only a car for sporty people that's why it is called sportscar
it's insane
the sound is so great
sound is nice, yes

Do you know what I like the most?
you have no artificial sounds
no fake backfire

when you drive it, everything feels so authentic

about 35.000DM to 40.000DM (~ 18.000€ to 20.000€)
What is the price today? When it is in perfect condition?
Currently there are not many manual C2
I mean, there are many but they are expensive

Après celui du circuit de Spa il y a quelques semaines, Porsche a battu un nouveau record du tour, cette fois-ci sur le (très) célèbre Nürburgring (Allemagne) et sa fameuse boucle nord longue de 20,8 kilomètres
Le temps est éloquent : 5:19.55 minutes. Porsche n'a fait qu'améliorer celui d'une autre Porsche, la 956 C avec laquelle, le 28 mai 1983, Stefan Bellof avait accompli un tour en 6:11
13 minutes. Cette fois-ci c'est le pilote maison Timo Bernhard qui a établi ce nouveau record, au volant de la 919 Hybrid Evo, une version, comme son nom l'indique, modifiée de la 919 Hybrid qui courut en WEC et affranchie de plusieurs contraintes réglementaires
Contrairement à celui de Spa, qui pourrait être battu dès la prochaine édition du GP de Formule 1, le nouveau record établi sur le Nürburgring devrait tenir un bon moment

Dentro de los múltiples actos con los que Porsche está jalonando este año para celebrar su 70º aniversario como fabricante de vehículos, la inauguración del Centro Porsche Madrid Norte ha sido sin duda el más importante de nuestro país
Hablamos de la nueva sede de Porsche Ibérica en España, un espacio de más de 6.000 metros cuadrados con un vanguardista diseño y en el que todo gira en torno a la experiencia de cliente, que ha tomado nuevas dimensiones
En su interior hay 1.800 metros cuadrados de exposición, que incluyen una muestra itinerante del Museo Porsche con tres vehículos traídos expresamente de la sede de Stuttgart para ser expuestos temporalmente aquí
Gracias a esta iniciativa los clientes han podido ver ya en riguroso directo y tocar el RS Spyder, el 911 SC Safari o el prototipo 928 S4 Cabriolet

En la innovadora zona Porsche 3D se puede experimentar con una impresora 3D o disfrutar de una experiencia de realidad virtual
La guinda es un circuito de slot que recrea el mítico trazado de las 24 horas de Le Mans
El último hito para este impresionante espacio es que ha recibido la certificación internacional como Classic Partner
Este reconocimiento, firmado por Porsche AG, implica que los miembros del equipo de Centro Porsche Madrid Norte dedicados al mantenimiento y restauración de los modelos clásicos de la marca han superado previamente unos cursos exhaustivos para "desempeñar sus funciones con absoluta excelencia"
Porsche cataloga como "clásicos" aquellos vehículos que han dejado de producirse en serie hace al menos diez años y explica que "aunque todos los concesionarios cuentan con personal capacitado para abordar cualquier tipo de trabajo en esos automóviles, la certificación como Classic Partner es ir un paso más allá para llevar la especialización al extremo"
Hasta la fecha, en la Península Ibérica, solo Centro Porsche Barcelona y el concesionario de Estoril contaban con este sello
Este no es un tema baladí si tenemos en cuenta que el 80% de los deportivos Porsche de dos puertas fabricados a lo largo de estos setenta años siguen circulando
Desde la inauguración de sus nuevas instalaciones, Centro Porsche Madrid Norte cuenta con un rincón específico dedicado a los vehículos clásicos, donde siempre hay en exposición algún vehículo de época, junto a diversos accesorios y piezas reeditadas, hechas con tecnología actual sin alterar la esencia
