Será en la estructura de Wayne Taylor Racing con Kamui Kobayashi como compañero, además de Jordan Taylor y Renger van der Zande, que ya estaban la pasada temporada. Este martes lo hizo oficial el equipo.

A la Indy con Chevrolet

Pero además, el motor que llevará en Indy 500 también será de General Motors, un Chevrolet.

Fernando podría haber llevado un propulsor Honda y de hecho los dirigentes de la marca en aquel país lo intentaron por medio del equipo de Andretti, pero no era esa la respuesta si iba con McLaren.

Como finalmente el español decidió hacerlo con el que sigue siendo su equipo en este tipo de pruebas y también en F1 (hará algún test con McLaren), llevará el motor americano.

De tal manera que sus pruebas con Nascar, Daytona e Indy 500 entran dentro del mismo acuerdo con General Motors.

Además, no hay problema con Toyota, su equipo en el Mundial de Resistencia y con el que competirá en las 24 Horas de Le Mans 2019,

porque sus rivales directos en el continente son Honda en Indy 500 y Acura en Daytona. Alonso sigue en su aventura americana. Y habrá más…
