Millionaire ex MP David Miliband was today ridiculed for boasting of the 'beautiful' views in Aspen as he arrives at the luxury resort to discuss the refugee crisis
The former Labour frontbencher was accused of having a 'tin ear' after sending the tasteless tweet from the swanky holiday destination in Colorado's Rocky mountains
Mr Miliband, who earns £425,000-a-year heading the International Rescue Committee charity, tweeted a photo of the panoramic views on his way to the Aspen Ideas Festival
He added the message: 'Beautiful day to discuss refugees and political crisis of our times
' TV host Piers Morgan was among those who rounded on the ex MP for the bizarre post, writing: 'Are there many multi-millionaire refugees in Aspen?'
While a flood of other Twitter users joined in mocking the ex MP for his ability to 'monumentally misjudge' his tweet
Twitter user Ed Simpson sarcastically wrote: 'I wish I was as self-aware as David Miliband
What a hero.' A Twitter user going by the name Silvani wrote: 'David Miliband is totally oblivious to the sheer inanity and hypocrisy of this tweet
