Smart TMR Angle Sensor evaluation kit - Duration: 1:57.

Hello.

We have a first look

at the evaluation kit for

NVE's remarkable new

ASR002 Smart TMR Angle Sensor.

The kit comes with

a horseshoe magnet.

It shows the angle with tenth-degree precision.

and the Sensor's direction output.

We can use a compass graphic,

or a chart-recorder metaphor.

The "Settings" tab lets us set the Sensor's

offset,

filtering,

and direction.

If we switch the direction,

it measures the angle

relative to the bottom of the sensor

rather than the top.

That's handy in some applications.

The "Memory" tab shows the angle output

as well as the raw sine and cosine output vectors.

We can also change sensor parameters.

Here's the eval board schematic:

The board has a microcontroller

that interfaces to the Sensor via SPI

and the User Interface via USB.

Key ASR002 specifications are:

0.1-degree precision;

0.2 degree repeatability;

wide magnetic field operating range;

high speed;

low power;

full temperature;

and it's ultraminiature.
