There are several criminal histories associated with Technopoisk, which owns this brand,

so when I buy a product from this brand, I'm not sure that I can get quality warranty repairs

or post-warranty technical support,

since the brand can simply leave the market.

The product is packaged in an original black cardboard box,

which illustrates the appearance of the iron

and its technical capabilities.

For the convenience of carrying goods from the top there is a plastic handle.

The meager language of the colonists of the world calls it simply "iron."

The manufacturer offers a whole set of smart appliances for the home. Included is

such a prospectus with advertising of another "type of smart" equipment of this brand,

and the site also presents an expanded list of similar products.

Its main "trick" is that for the owner of this iron it is no longer relevant to the question whether you left

the iron at home.

Thanks to the auto-shutdown function,

as well as ReadyForSky technology and the same-name mobile application,

the user, wherever he is,

at any time can check if the iron is on at the moment

and, if necessary, disconnect the device from the smartphone in one click.

The iron is completed

with a plastic cup with a volume of 200 ml, with an iron tank of 300 - 350 ml,

documentation, which includes

an illustrated instruction manual exclusively in Russian,

a service book in 5 languages.

There is an opportunity to participate in the draw and earn something from cookies.

Both in Belarus and Russia, this device is offered at a price of just over $ 60.

And of course the iron itself.

Such is the modest equipment of this device.

Although it says here that the product is manufactured under an American license, the brand is purely Russian,

The iron is made in Chinese Shenzhen, as evidenced by the inscription on the back of the package.

But, in principle, in appearance, and most importantly,

if you open it and see how it is made,

then you really make sure that it is China-China.

He is like many of his companions.

There are some elements on it that give him their name, that this is China.

This casting the soles from the inside, as well as the dignity here expose a rubberized handle.

Here is the rubber pad. I thought it was glue, I started

here so rub, and it turned out that this is already rubber,

that is, rubber was already decomposing. Here the cast

is standard Chinese with some burrs. Some kind of slag!

In fact, the iron stands out among similar in my opinion to the inexperienced consumer

with only two advantages:

a very long power cord in a fabric braid with a length of 3 m

Otherwise, it is similar to most irons in the middle and upper grade categories.

Its power is 2.5 kW and it has a vertical steam function.

of 50 grams / minute, this value is 2 times the value of my previous Philips Mistral irons.

Ahead on the nose there is a regulator, 4 positions: off and

then minimum, average, maximum value of steam supply.

that is, there is no inertia in this, the function works constantly.

I also liked: rubberized wheel of choice of heating power according to the type of fabric

and rubber inserts at the corners of a triangular heel.

In Philips, this pen was ribbed and was also easy to operate.

A ceramic coating is applied on the sole, which facilitates gliding over various types of fabric.

Holes for steam supply on the sole are placed only in one row around the perimeter.

There are small round and oval grooves, which in theory should create

an even distribution of the steam cushion.

The iron "Redmond SkyIron RI-C255S" can be remotely controlled using a mobile application

that can be downloaded via a QR code on the package.

The application is called "ReadyForSky" and has such a shortcut. Run it.

Here you can add a lot of different devices

that are presented on the website of this brand.

Activate the bottom button "Find a device in the network."

Well, here follow the prompts: "Turn the iron down and hold for 5 seconds, then click «Connect».

And so there is a successful connection,

and go to the management of this device "RI-C255S".

Through a mobile application for iOS and Android devices installed on a smartphone or tablet, you can

turn off the iron, find out its work status and position in space,

but a little inertia, of course, all this happens.

Safe operation mode, which can be enabled in the application, will allow to operate

the iron only when it has a bluetooth connection with a mobile device,

that is, without a smartphone, a smart iron will not heat up when plugged in.

This option will be especially useful for parents whose children may want to play around with an iron in the absence of adults.

To control the iron or other "type of smart" devices from the brand

via the Internet, the user will need a separate smartphone or tablet

with WiFi on all the time and a Bluetooth module version 4.0 and higher,

and activated by the ReadyForSky Gateway application.

Here is a shortcut.

The application "ReadyForSky Getaway" will allow you to connect, well, in my case, an iron with a home router

via a smartphone that will act as a gateway.

In both applications you will need to activate your login.

The functionality of the application "ReadyForSky" is quite limited.

Through it, you can only observe the position of the iron in space, turn on safe mode

or turn off the device. The controls are possible at a distance of the action of bluetooth version 4.0,

it is about 10 m from the iron.

If there is an automatic shutdown function in the iron, I perceive such a remote control as a useless toy,

since the iron has an automatic shutdown function. At the moment it is turned off, the blue light is flashing,

and this function is enough for a mentally healthy person.

In addition to peace of mind for the safety of the home and the safety of loved ones,

the iron also provides a good ironing result.

Iron perfectly copes with heating and steam supply.

The spray nozzle creates very small sprays so that when

using large drops of water never hit the fabric.

This feature will smooth out difficult and dried places without damage

or change the appearance of the fabric.

In particular, this note concerns delicate fabrics that are not recommended to be exposed to hot steam.

The sole of the iron glides smoothly over the fabric, the iron moves without creasing the web.

and the narrowed nose allows

you to smooth out the assembly, grooves, narrow places of clothing between buttons.

RI-255S" iron.

This is a fairly powerful iron, provided with the necessary functions for

efficient and safe operation.

But as I said at the beginning of the video, I somehow did not want to advise this iron to purchase,

because I am not sure that this brand will last a long time on the market,

well, especially considering the real situation in the Russian economy.
