-Look at you on the cover of this magazine -- a stud.

This is -- this is my guy. [ Cheers and applause ]

Like, "What's up?" Movie star, stud.

And I read a lot of --

First of all, how are you?

-I'm fine, thank you.

[ Laughter ] -Okay, good. Are you?

That's more than enough. More than enough.

-How are you? -No, I'm -- I'm great.

I'm fantastic.

-You are. -Thank you.

-You always have been. -I appreciate that.

I learned a lot about you in this article.

This is a great article.

-Sorry. -No, it was great.

One thing I learned is that you --

This photo shoot, you wore your own clothes.

You didn't wear any -- Like, usually, you get styled.

Usually -- usually...

This is a magazine cover right here.

[ Laughter ]

-That's why I decided not to dress up tonight.

-Yeah, yeah, I know. You look fantastic.

But this is -- I learned that,

that you wore your own clothes to the shoot, you did it.

You were just like, "Yeah, whatever, man. I'm cool."

And then you split -- You didn't say that,

but you just said it with your face.

And then -- But then I also learned

that you enjoy a glass of Scotch and a good joke.

-That's in here?

-Yeah. -Is it really?

-Well, no, I made that up. [ Laughter ]

But I think -- I wrote it on your Wikipedia page.

But... [ Laughter ]

You know, do you --

Is that true? Do you enjoy it?

-I've got a new trust in -- in Wikipedia.

-Yeah, exactly. -I've never had that before.

-Yeah, yeah, I'm really good at it.

I can put in whatever you want.

What is the Scotch that you enjoy?

'Cause I think I got some Scotch here.

-Really?

-I just don't know how to -- -Ooh, ooh, ooh.

-I don't know how to... [ Laughter ]

-Ooh, I like this. -You do?

-I can't pronounce it, but --

No, I know how to pronounce it...

-Bruichladdich? [broy-clouch]

-No, 'cause I drunk -- I-I...

[ Laughter ]

I had a little bit of it in a movie that I made,

and it's called Bruichladdich. [bru-clad-ick]

-Bruichladdich. -Bruichladdich.

-That sounds very, very -- [Scottish accent] It's Scottish.

-It is -- Of course. It's a Scotch whisky.

-[ Normal voice ] Scotch whisky.

Well, I'm just -- Well, I just...

But, all right, well, I have a little --

a little here for both of us. -Oh, man, wow.

-Maybe, like, I can pour a little, on the little --

-Uh... Is this okay?

-Well, yeah, I think we're allowed to do it.

I mean, you're Harrison Ford.

[ Cheers and applause ]

We're allowed to do whatever we want to do.

-No, not okay with you -- Okay with my wife.

-Oh, yeah, sorry.

Yeah, you have to worry about that, yeah.

Calista, please.

Give him two -- Let him hang, have one beverage. Come on.

-It's been a long day, honey. -Yeah, exactly. Cheers.

-Forgive me. Cheers. Thank you.

-Good to see you, pal. -Well, thank you.

Good to see you. Thank you.

-[ Exhales ] Oh, my goodness.

[ Stammering ] Stop the music.

I have a -- I was trying to think of a good joke,

because I'm not really --

I don't want to say I'm not good at telling jokes, but I'm not --

I make a living out of it, but...

-Are you Canadian?

-No. -No, I'm just asking.

-'Cause there's so many Canadians -- Canadian humorists.

-Yeah. -Comedians, I just...

-I know a lot of people think I'm Canadian, but I'm not.

-No, no, a -- a lot of people think you're a humorist.

[ Laughter ]

-Thanks. That was -- Here you go.

-Well, I just think -- I think you're a fantastic host.

Thank you for having me.

-Thank you, but please. No, I know.

[ Cheers and applause ]

We're having a drink.

All right. This is good stuff.

-Yeah, I got a joke. You want to go first?

-I'll go first. I have a joke.

All right, so a guy -- a guy goes to --

-Walks into a bar? -Yeah.

Have you heard this already?

[ Laughter ]

-90% of jokes start that way. -Yeah, exactly.

A guy walks into a bar. -Yeah.

He gets -- He starts drinking, he gets wasted,

throws up on himself.

-Oh, yeah. Okay.

-So he goes to the bartender,

and he goes [slurring] "I don't know what to do.

I don't know what I'm gonna tell my wife.

I-I am in so much trouble."

[ Normal voice ] And the bartender goes,

"Here's what you do. Do you have a $10 bill?"

-Yeah. -"Put it in your pocket,

and you tell your wife that some drunk guy threw up on you

and he gave you $10 for the dry-cleaning, okay?"

-Oh, God. -"You paid $2 for the shirt,

so you almost made $8, and you're a genius,

and your wife will be like, 'Oh, everything's fine.'"

He goes [slurring] "That's a great idea."

[ Normal voice ] So he goes home, his wife's in bed,

she wakes up, and he goes -- she goes,

"Honey, what happened to you?"

He goes [slurring] "I was at a bar,

a drunk guy threw up on me,

and he gave me $10 for the dry-cleaning bill."

[ Normal voice ] And she goes,

"But, honey, this is a $20 bill."

And he goes, "He also [bleep] my pants."

[ Laughter and applause ]

[ Band plays ]

[ Laughs ]

Not bad.

[ Laughing ]

They liked it.

That's not the worst joke.

-Second apology of the night to my wife.

[ Laughter ]

I didn't know when I came here...

-No, I'll give you --

-...what I was getting myself into.

I'll give you $20 on the way out, you know.

-So, there's this ice fisherman. -Uh-huh.

-And he's got his little stool, and he's got his line,

and he's got his saw, and he's cutting a hole in the ice,

and he hears this voice behind that says,

"There are no fish under the ice."

[ Laughter ]

So he moves over 10 feet.

He starts cutting another hole through the ice.

And he hears, "There are no fish under the ice."

Looks up and says, "Is that you, God?"

And the voice says, "No.

It's the ice-rink manager."

[ Laughter ]

[ Band plays ]

[ Cheers and applause ]

-[ Laughing ]

-Guy goes into a bar.

-Okay. -Never mind.

The Best 3 F150 Side Steps for 2015 - 2017 Ford F150 SuperCab - Duration: 8:22.

Hi everybody.

I'm Justin with americantrucks.com.

And welcome to my "Best of" video for the side step category available for your 2015

and newer SuperCab F-150.

Now, the purpose of this video is to give you my top three choices here currently on

the site, based off of customer popularity, but also my own personal feedback as well,

to help you narrow down your option when it comes to either adding or upgrading an existing

sidestep on your F-150.

As always guys, these are merely just my suggestions.

You're gonna find a number of great options and brands here on the site.

So if you don't find exactly what you're looking for here in this video feel free to check

those out at any time.

But why add or upgrade the existing side steps on your stock ride height or lifted F-150?

Well, easy.

To get in and out much easier.

However, you will encounter a few different options when it comes to design or style such

as your nerf bars, your running boards, your drop steps and also your automatic options

so you have to decide what's right for your truck and ultimately your budget.

But what do you say we break down my top three choices a little bit further, starting with

my first option.

First up we have the most popular option currently in the category and that is the Barricade

3 inch Side Step in black with the 90 degree ends.

Now, the 3 inch Barricade continues to be a crowd favorite because it combines a popular

size but with a rock bottom price.

In fact these guys right here, only gonna set you back right around a 100 bucks, making

them the most affordable in the category by a pretty wide margin.

And the reason these things are so affordable is pretty obvious, right?

It's a very basic step in regards to design and materials, and apparently the simple or

minimalist approach is what a lot of truck owners are after, based off the popularity

of this particular option.

Again, the most popular step currently in the category in addition to being the most

affordable.

Now, that basic design does include a heavy duty stainless steel construction complete

with a black powder coat.

But just a heads up here guys, you can grab the same exact 3 inch Barricade step with

a polished finish instead for a little bit more dough, for those of you who prefer just

a little bit more flash or maybe have some more chrome existing on your truck.

Now, you do have the 90 degree ends here which do kind of wrap back into the cab, which I

think makes for a very clean look, and then finally the non-slip pads here for both the

front and rear passenger side areas.

And finally guys, everything is backed by a three year warranty from Barricade if you

should ever run into any issues.

Now, granted you're not getting the biggest area for footing with the 3 inch step bar

but that's what our next option will be for.

But ultimately guys, the 3 inch Barricade Side Step in black will be a very simple,

super affordable solution to either add steps to your rig for the first time, or maybe change

up the look of the factory step for the owners out there who don't necessarily need to have

the biggest bar hanging off the side of their rig.

But what if you're after a little bit more footing and the 3 inch option just isn't gonna

cut it for you?

Well, then it's time to start looking at some bigger options like the Barricade 5 inch Oval

side step bar in black with the 60 degree ends.

Now, I like these particular Barricades because it's gonna give you the most amount of footing

for the least amount of money.

In fact, you're hovering right around that $150 price point, making this a bargain for

the amount of step you're getting.

Like the 3 inch siblings, the 5 inch Oval here from Barricade is gonna be one of the

most popular in the category with over 60-plus 5 star reviews, and that was a big deciding

factor for me when it came time to throw this list together.

And just like the previous Barricade option, the 5 inch Ovals do take a pretty basic approach

to design, just to help keep the cost down but without skimping on the quality.

And what does this mean to you guys?

Well, this does include a full stainless steel build along with that black powder coat to

help keep these things looking good for years to come, in addition to that large 5 inch

oval tubing in the 60 degree ends.

Again, you can grab these things in a polished finish for a few more bucks if you do wanna

match an existing chrome on your F-150, but ultimately the black here is going to be your

most affordable option and it is backed by that same 3 year warranty as my previous selection.

But one of the things I like most about the Barricade 5 inch Oval side step here besides

that super affordable price tag, is the fact that you're getting these absolutely massive

non-slip step pads for both front and rear passengers, about a foot to a foot and a half

or so in length and about five inches in width, providing you with enough footing for those

slippery days for even the biggest of feet.

In summary guys, a big bar for not a lot of money is a great way to sum up these options

from Barricade and a big reason why they made my list.

But what if money was no issue and you want a ton of real estate for your feet to make

getting in and out of your stock or lifted F-150 much easier, while also providing a

pretty clean look?

On top of that, a little extra ground clearance for the occasional off road trip would be

a nice thing to have as well.

For all those reasons, I love the Amp Research Power Steps for my third and final pick in

the category.

Listen guys, the Amp Research stuff is certainly very baller, and the $1500 or so price tag

would certainly indicate that, but in return you are getting an absolutely killer product.

Now, if you're not already familiar with the Amp Research stuff, the Power Step is a fully

automated sidestep that deploys and retracts automatically anytime your door opens or closes,

essentially giving you the best of both worlds.

And because the power step is automated, you're actually gonna get an option that hangs a

lot lower compared to most fixed sidesteps out there, which means all you lifted guys,

well, this thing will certainly make your life a whole lot easier.

But on the flip side with these steps fully retracted up into the body where the rocker

panel area, you're gonna be seeing a lot more ground clearance, you're not gonna have to

worry about snagging a traditional nerf bar or side step on a rock, especially if you

do a lot of hard core wheeling with your truck.

And on top of that guys, I just think these things provide a much cleaner look once they

are fully retracted into the body.

And guys I know what you're probably thinking, for the $1400 - $1500 price tag I better be

getting a rock solid quality build here on top of all that fancy automation.

And I'm happy to say that certainly is the case with the Amp Research Power Steps.

In fact, you're gonna be looking at a high strength anodized aluminum alloy material

for the boards themselves in addition to some of the components, and finally stainless steel

pivot pins, which all together guys can hold upwards of 600 pounds per side.

Very impressive.

But maybe one my favorite parts about the boards themselves is the fact that they are

coated in a very, very grippy material, almost like 80 grit sandpaper if I could relate it

to anything.

And I just think that's gonna provide you with the ultimate traction in dry and wet

conditions.

Even more, the Power Step does feature integrated LED lighting which will help illuminate the

step at night further helping you, your significant other, maybe your family enter and exit your

truck without any drama.

Finally guys, in the event that you do snag a foot or get something caught in the boards

during operation, the Amp Research steps do have a pressure sensitive pinch safety feature

built in, just to help keep you and your family safe at all times.

Just in case you were wondering, the amp research steps are made in the USA and they are backed

by a five year 60,000 mile warranty.

Listen, at the end of the day obviously not a cheap option but you get what you pay for

here with the Amp Research steps.

Before we wrap this up guys, I do wanna point out that most steps in the category, including

your nerf bars and your running boards, will install easily in a matter of minutes using

the existing studs underneath your truck along with a basic socket set.

However, since the Amp Research steps here are automated, expect some wiring involved

in addition to some wrenching as well, which as you might imagine, will stretch the install

time slightly.

Well gang, that's gonna wrap up my "Best of" video for the side step category for all SuperCab

F-150s.

Now, if you do want any more information on any of the steps in this video, feel free

to check out the respective product pages at any time.

I'm Justin.

Thanks for watching, and for all things F-150, keep it right here at americantrucks.com.
