Hello everyone it's 'Lurgs' here welcome to my channel and today how to use the BMW

speed limiter and hopefully save your driving license. But before we get

started there's a link above now about how to replace the battery in your BMW

key fob. Okay so you're driving along and then you see this warning sign

'Average speed check 20 mph' so you don't want to be going over 20 mph

and you don't want to be losing this, so what you do is while you're

driving along at the speed that you are doing press the [LIM] button which means

'speed limiter', now this will automatically set it to the speed of whatever you're

travelling at, so I was travelling at exactly 20 mph so it's set the

speed limit at 20 mph, now you can scroll this up and down using this

button here, if you push it hard it goes up in 5 mph increments or

down in 5 mph increments, if you flick that button softly it will go

up or down in 1 mph increments, now when you press the

accelerator it will not go above 20 mph, the only way you can

exceed 20 mph is if you put the accelerator pedal flat to the floor, once

you release it, it will then come back down to 20 mph an hour again, it

doesn't actually brake, it just reduces the power and if you want to turn the

speed limiter off, just push that button again, you can see in the background it

just switches it on and off. So if you want to save this then use your speed

when you're gonna try it on the track

something really nice, is that when you open

when exiting the curve,

you feel the engine

that before pushing the car

it sits the car on the rear

the car gets lots of grip

and when you go to open

you really feel

the traction bringing you out of the curve

you're gonna have so much fun

because the car's features are

little understeer in the middle of the curve

which is something that's usually on long cars

with rear-wheel drive, you feel

instead this one --

I've been told that this car has much

more oversteer

than understeer

yes, very precise in front

especially in the middle of the curve

they did it short and light

and took away the chronic flaw

of the road vehicles on the track

so it's very nice 'cause it's precise in front

because it starts, but gotta be ready to take it --

but the feeling -- you open, the car sits a bit

of course with all the controls off

you starts right away

and you gotta be quick

the nice thing is

the inserting.. -- what did I tell you? Little understeer

totally

when it starts to have it

you're quick, you press

the gas and you

make it oversteer, so it quickly goes from understeer to oversteer, immediately

nice, it's fun to drive

so fun!

I'm just scared about the brake that goes down a bit

so I don't know how much it has

maybe it's simply

warming up, I'm sure it holds afterwards

I didn't do a clean lap, but

AC Schnitzer's Body Kit Suits The BMW M550i, But We'd Skip The Rear Wing - Duration: 1:52.

Short of an M5 or an M5 Competition, the M550i xDrive is the quickest BMW 5-Series version you can buy today, thanks to its 4.4-liter twin turbocharger V8 engine

It pushes down 462 PS (456 HP) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque to all four wheels, and can accelerate BMW's saloon to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4 seconds flat

This means it's actually quicker than the old M5, and just 0.6seconds slower than the latest M5

If, however, you want your M550i to stand out from other 5-Series, you can always ring a well-known tuner

Someone like AC Schnitzer, for instance, who offers a body kit with extra carbon fiber parts which give the car a more aggressive look

Mods include a custom front spoiler with carbon fiber inserts, a carbon fiber 'Racing' rear wing, side skirts and new wheels, while the interior remains a little more conservative, with a classy combination of brown leather and white contrast stitching, plus wood inserts on the dashboard, center console and door panels

A few months ago, we saw this very same kit on an M5 Competition, which had additional carbon fiber above the rear diffuser

That car was also commissioned through BMW Abu Dhabi, and featured a red exterior and an all-black interior
