Hello friends, let's fix your license plate light.
Right now your license plate looks like this
But hey in less than 5 minutes, it will look like this.
Lets get started.
You will need a flathead screwdriver. Your vehicle should come with one.
Open the driver side door.
Now release the trunk by pulling the release lever.
Now in the trunk, lift the trunk carpet.
That is where the tools are. Pull the screwdriver out.
This is where the license plate lights are. Right above the license plate.
Now put the screwdriver on the inside edge of the light and push it towards the outside of the car like this.
Now the light is out. We will disconnect it from the electrical connector. There is a clip right here
You need to pinch that and then pull the connector out.
We need to use the screwdriver to pry out the lens. It is is held on by 4 tabs. We only need to take out 2 tabs.
Now, push down and out on the bulb with your thumb. Wiggle the bulb if it feels tough.
Get the new bulb and push it down in the connector.
Now we will put the lens back on the bulb holder.
Just press it onto it.
Now we will plug the electrical connector back in. Just slide it and push it in. You heard that click?
Now put the light back in.
