We are in the mountains at the ice track at Golsfjellet in Norway

Welcome to BMW xDrive experience!

First we are going to drive a BMW M240i xDrive

We also have a BMW M140i xDrive that we are going to test

We have two driving instructors from the fire department to help us

I think I am a good driver, they ARE good drivers ...

They will help me get round the track in one piece.

Hopefully we will be allowed to turn off ESP and antispinn.

Hopefully we will drift as much as possible whilst looking out og the side window!

Finished with the first round of entertainment

with the M140 and M240i xDrive

They let us turn off the ESP and antispin

of course they felt we were pros ...

Now we are going to sit with a professional racing driver

with the BME 850i xDrive

Christian is going to show how we are really supposed to drive.

Hi Christian!

Welcome to xDrive demonstration. Now we are going to push the limits!

There is four wheel steering in this car?

Yes

Is that an advantage?

To be honest is makes the car easier to control

I haven't tested on dry asfalt, but here it's great.

This is crazy!

Even though its ice, and we're on Lappi studded tyres

which have a few extra studs

you can really feel the G-force!

We are only up at max 140 km/t

This is ridiculously fast!

I got so excited i managed to turn the camera off

Thanks for the ride Christian!

Now we're off to drive the BMW 3 Series

Just driven a short ride in the new BMW 3 series

This is a 320 d xDrive

190 hk and 400 Nm

Very slippy ice roads

a lot of snow and ice

The car is very nicely balanced

Feels more like a rear wheel drive car than a 4x4

But if you do slide, the xDrive controls it very nicely

without a lot of drama

We drove for only about half an hour

So it's a bit difficult to come to a proper conclusion

First impressions on Norwegian snow and ice roads are very positive.

Stable and more playful than the last 3 series

This is a Luxury edition

in Norway popular grey.

A bit A4 maybe,

but here we have a 320d with M Sport styling.

Maybe you can trick the neighbor to thinking you have a M3 ...

Finally some quiet

whilst the others are lunching

we are going to take a closer look at the Rolls Royce Cullinan.

Rolls Royce claims the made the Cullinan

not because of the growing SUV market

for that they already too late

They built it because their customers wanted one.

Cullinan is based on the Phantom platform

Rolls Royce have use 8 years to develop it.

It has a V12 twin turbo motor

With 870 Nm of torque

It is permanent 4x4

The automatic gearbox

can't be controlled manualy

It uses satellite information

to give information to the automate gearbox

about where it is, what type of terrain and how to react.

Famous pin strip which still is hand painted by one man.

Not all cars have this ...

The chrome detail here

is in one piece

all the way from the A pillar

and continues all the way to the start of the rear door.

Normally you would have seen joins, here for example.

Rolls Royce are very proud of this.

The petrol cap is new.

Now with a chrome finish.

Rolls Royce customers complained about the plastic cap before.

They felt it wasn't in style with the rest of the car.

Now it's nice and chrome.

... not that the owners fill the car themselves.

But if your first going to fill up, why not make it an occasion.

A nice detail here

Valve caps with the RR logo.

Of course the silver lady is in place.

And the famous grill,

probably 50 cm high!

Just a quick first impression of the Cullinan

We have a small secret!

We are invited to test drive the Cullinan in France later this year.

So follow us here!

Now down to the ice track for a test drive.

I'm a little bit nervous.

It's my first drive in a Rolls Royce.

Put in a little bit of power, there you go.

Now I feel confident to drive a bit harder

I was a bit in awe at the start

Its big, heavy and very expensive.

If you just dare to give it the boot

the rear drifts out nicely.

It's a pretty tight schedule here.

Now, a bit back down to earth.

Now we will drive the BMW X2

It's very slippy

tight turns

The goal is to get round

using the accelerator and steering, no brakes.

The last stop today.

We are on a terrain track

in the new BMW X5

oops, I need to concentrate so as not to loose any panel parts.

This is a M50d

With electronic suspension.

Which means more comfort and a better ride.

Also improved handling.

400 hk 760 Nm

We drove the X5 with air suspension just now

The ride quality in this one is way better

The air suspension was good,

but this is really comfy.

The snow is deep and it's easy to get stuck

Easy into the turns, and a good lump of power on the way out works well.

The torque fixes most situations here.

This car really wants to get where it's going.

BMW says this is not a pure offroader.

The last X5 was a bit of a soft roader.

The capabilities of the new X5 are far superior

compared to the last one.

Going to try not to get stuck like the Sweds did!

Easy in

find the grip

then floor it!

he he, it's actually quite fun to drive slowly.

Finished for the day, pretty hectic.

We have driven M140i, M240i

new 320d xDrive

BMW X5

Rolls Royce Cullinan

also X2

We had only 50 minutes at each test drive.

I hope you've seen enough today

BMW is sending off the outgoing M140i in style with the 'Finale' Package. It costs AUD $3,000 (USD $2,125) in Australia on top of car's MSRP, which means that this special edition starts at AUD $62,990 (USD $44,625)

It's already available to order Down Under, where it will arrive in showrooms from March, and adds a few visual mods and extra gear to the current hot hatch, which will be replaced by a new generation soon

The M140i Finale comes with darkened exterior lighting units, 18-inch M light alloy wheels with a double-spoke pattern in Orbit Grey (optional Jet Black / Jet Black and Silver available), special badging, black high-gloss grille frame, metallic paint and black chrome tailpipes

This special edition also comes with the Storage Compartment Package, an electric glass sunroof and smartphone wireless charging

These add up to the extensive list of standard equipment which includes items such as the adaptive LED headlights with Selective Beam, Adaptive M suspension and M Sport Brakes with Blue calipers

Front and rear parking sensors, 8.8-inch infotainment system with navigation, BMW ConnectedDrive, Dakota Leather upholstery, Comfort Access System and Harman/Kardon audio round up the package

The M140i is powered by a 3.0-liter straight-six with TwinPower Turbo technology that's rated at 335 hp (340 PS / 250 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque

The output is directed to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission, for a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 4.6 seconds

As for the all-new M140i, it will move upmarket in terms of power and is believed to get close to the 400-horsepower mark

The upcoming 1-Series will, however, for the first-time ever ride on a FWD-biased platform, although M models should benefit from all-wheel drive
