Hi, and welcome to the BANKEX Smart Asset creation demo.

This screen cast demo is intended to show the principles behind the tokenization of

assets for liquidity as presented in the BANKEX whitepaper.

Here we'll explain how BANKEX will tokenize an asset to create a Smart Asset on the Ethereum

blockchain.

To begin the demo, you first need to install the MetaMask plugin.

Then you will need to login to Ropsten Ethereum.

This test network will provide us the test Ethers to pay for the transactions in the

demo.

Look for the link in the video description below.

To create a Smart Asset, we first need to select the type of asset we want tokenize.

The Smart Asset Creation tool current enables the tokenization of cars, real estate objects

and Apple devices.

For the sake of simplicity this video will demonstrate how to create a Car Token so you

can get a better understanding of what a Smart Asset is and how it works.

BANKEX technology extremely innovative and scalable and was designed to create complex,

tailor made financial products.

If you can't find an asset type that you need, you can submit a request to the BANKEX

Foundation to crate it.

Once you have chosen your asset type, click on "CREATE ASSET"and you will see the

first step on the screen - contract initiation.

Once clicked, you will see the "Contract Initiation" page.

On this page, you will need to fill out the "Customer Information" and "General

Information" sections.

BANKEX will then verify the information that has been submitted.

All Smart Asset creation operations are stored on the blockchain.

We will be able to see the address of the smart contract we have created when we are

finished.

Users will also be able to view our open source code.

In this demo, however, we will not explore that option.

Now we will proceed to the initial input field of the contract.

Our first step will be to provide information about the person or entity that is creating

the Smart Asset, also known as the originator.

In the demo version, we will use simplified information about the originator.

We only need the originator's Ethereum wallet address from MetaMask.

We will collect more information needed for the creation of the Smart Asset as we move

forward in the demo.

Next you enter your email address.

At this point the user will choose a suitable KYC provider from a menu.

This might be an internal BANKEX KYC adapter or any external KYC product integrated with

BANKEX.

Here we will choose KYC provider 1.

A form will appear and we will need to complete it with all the basic information about our

asset.

For the car token, we will enter the following information:

The VIN number.

The car model – a Mazda, for example.

And other asset characteristics, for example, color, mileage and the year it as produced.

The BANKEX protocol might need additional information about the asset at a later time

and for this another smart contract with additional data on the same asset could be created, for

instance, for triggers related to asset performance or depreciation.

This might be a file which will be stored with BANKEX partner Microsoft Azure.

After providing the basic information, BANKEX stores it on Microsoft Azure and on the Ethereum

blockchain.

BANKEX doesn't store all information on the blockchain, only part of it.

This shared storage technology significantly reduces the cost of creating a smart-contract

and protects client confidentiality.

Then we proceed to the next step in asset tokenization, where we validate information

provided at the beginning.

This is important so we can be sure the asset is correctly valued.

The correct value of the asset is entirely dependant on the input of correct data.

When this is completed, we see that our "Car" token has been created and it has its own

ID.

This information will be available as a card, like on an e-commerce site.

BANKEX has a mobile app available on Google Play and the Apple store and anyone with the

app can use it to see that a Smart Asset token for a car has been created.

The token can also be seen on Etherscan.

For different Smart Asset types, different ERC-20 tokens will be created.

Using tokens, it will be possible to buy, sell, and own a fraction of the Smart Asset.

After creating the Smart Asset, we will need to crawl the information.

For this we will need to collect data from IoT sensors.

IoT sensors might be different for different types of assets.

In this demo version, we use a smartphone app that might emulate different IoT signals.

It can collect data such as latitude and longitude and photo data.

IoT sensors might also register data from an accelerometer, for example.

For different asset types, we can use a variety of data from different sensors.

It depends on the asset type, formulas, and smart contracts used.

Now we go the audit, validation and escrow steps.

The validation step is where internal checks and crawlers are used to confirm that the

data is correct according to external sources.

Second, external oracles will gather information on external data sources.

The third step involves escrow agents.

When we see, for example, that the asset has passed the internal BANKEX validation step

but hasn't passed the external oracle step, the asset will pass into escrow until the

matter can be resolved.

The extent to which an asset needs to be validated will affect its final price.

After providing all the needed information about the asset and the validation process

is complete, we will proceed to the tokenization step.

This will involve the creation of additional information.

There might be legal or commercial conditions, customs duties, or any other conditions listed

in the asset tokenization formula.

The BANKEX tokenization technology allows us to adapt Smart Assets to any location or

legal jurisdiction.

Now we are ready to calculate the Smart Asset price.

The value of an asset is also calculated on the blockchain and thus prevents any manipulation

or tampering with the information in the future.

We see here that the price of the asset, considering all the data that we have taken into account

as the result of the validation of the asset, comes to about 0.013 ETH.

At this point, we can put the asset up for sale.

The sale of Smart Assets takes place in the BANKEX Exchange.

Lets take a look now and see how this works.

We click the "PUT ON SALE" button for the Smart Asset to be released.

There will be an ISAO procedure - an Initial Smart Asset Offering procedure - which allows

the owner of the actual asset to attract capital from buyers of the Smart Asset - the Car Token.

So, our Smart Asset has been created, its existence has been recorded on the blockchain.

This is the card that shows us what it looks like.

At the moment, our Smart Asset only has a single owner, this is us, the originator of

the Smart Asset.

If we want, we can go to the "List of All Assets" here in the demo and we can see

that our Smart Asset appears on the list.

This is a simplified version of the BANKEX Exchange.

If we click on the Smart Asset, then we view its card and all the information about the

asset.

If we click on "All Assets" we get to the list of Smart Assets by types.

This list here in the demo, in fact, is the prototype of the BANKEX Smart Assets Exchange.

At the moment, the dynamic performance of Smart Assets on the exchange is not available.

In this demo version we see here that under the types of Smart Assets there can be lists

of subcategories of Smart Assets.

If we click on this Smart Asset, it is loaded with information from the blockchain so that

we can learn about the characteristics of the Smart Asset.

If we like what we see, we enter our location and click the "BUY ASSET" button.

Once clicked, we will need to confirm the operation, as all actions in the prototype

take place on blockchain.

Then we will get a message on the screen that let's us know that the Smart Asset has been

successfully purchased.

Now, to see what happens with the Smart Asset, you can open blockchain and see that 21 seconds

ago a Smart Asset token changed owners.

So, we open this operation and see that in the Smart Contract, in which we originally

tokenized the Car, the Smart Asset has been transferred from one owner to another.

If we click on this Smart Asset token, we can see that there is still just one owner,

but that he is different from the originator.

And so now this Smart Asset is owned by another person.

This process demonstrates the tokenization of real world assets, and clearly, transparently,

and fairly shows their value and who owns them and what transactions have taken place

with them.

Once again, this demonstration used a kind of Smart Asset that has been substantially

simplified for the same of the demo.

BANKEX tokenizes FINTECH products for complex asset types.

It is important to understand that for actual tokenization of our asset, that is for the

creation of a Smart Asset, we will need to purchase and use the BANKEX token and not

the test Ether.

The BANKEX token, with its official listing name BKX, will be available with the BANKEX

token sale.

In the future, BKX tokens used for the tokenization of assets will actually be classic utility

tokens that will be used by Smart Asset originators to pay for the creation of Smart Assets, to

purchase other Smart Assets, to pay BANKEX fees for transitions and general use within

the BANKEX platform.

And that's the demo for the creation of Smart Assets within the BANKEX Proof-of-Asset protocol.

Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more updates and demos.

Smart Valleys - Alegra (Medellin) - Duration: 5:32.

My name is Jorge Soto, I am the CEO and co-founder of Alegra.

Alegra is an online bookkeeping application for micro enterprises in Latin America.

We have built this application for micro enterprises.

The only options for small businesses to manage their bookkeeping used to be by doing it by hand or on Excel spreadsheets,

they don't want anything that is too elaborated, they just want the basic tools that solve the problems that they have on a daily basis in their businesses,

so you can manage your invoices, you can keep the control on your expenses, inventory and access some basic reports.

We have an Android App, a desktop app, an iOS App and an API, so right now we are building a small ecosystem around Alegra,

it has been quite a success, we have users in Colombia, Mexico, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Peru and some other countries.

We have about 10,000 active users per day.

We have a 100% SaaS model, so we collect a monthly fee for the use of the service.

When we start in a new country, we start with a freemium model and after a while we only propose premium models.

They can choose between three subscriptions, depending of the number of invoices they have, it's mainly by invoices.

Since the beginning, we are growing at about 10% every month, which is around 300% per year,

we have been growing on an intuitive way, according to our feelings, without taking too much risks or making big investments,

we keep it very small, and we just try to see if there's a market and then we scale up.

There are strong players on this market in every country, in Colombia, in Mexico, in Peru in Chile,

but there is no regional company that is trying to expand outside of its country, on a continental scale,

so we see a big opportunity in Latin America with electronic invoices,

a lot of people will have to switch from spreadsheets to softwares and we want to be their first option.

There is a risk of having a big new competitor like Sake or Quicbooks or FreshBooks that would put its attention on Latin America,

there are as well some risks in every country about the knowledge of their local needs,

I also think that as you grow, the security of the information that you have gets more valuable,

you have the information of thousands of companies so you become a target.

For us, the priority is to keep it very simple, very easy to use,

then we want to go to Argentina and all around Latin America, but would like to expand to Africa as well,

we think that there is a good opportunity, there is a similar market that isn't that far from Latin America,

so we are thinking about having a French version and an English version of Alegra, mainly for the African market.

The Cheerios Effect - Duration: 5:36.

[MUSIC]

The breakfast table's probably the last place you'd expect to find cool physics, but

there is some awesome science happening right here, and you've probably seen lots of times

without even realizing it.

Ever notice how cereal tends to stick together in the middle of the bowl?

Or it clumps to the edges.

That makes it easy to eat, but why does it happen?

We see this same clumpage with other objects too: paper clips, thumb tacks, even bubbles

in a beverage will snap together.

Maybe you've noticed this, but scientists didn't fully understand what was going on

until 2005, when a pair of mathematicians decided to hit the lab, it hthe kitchen, and

hit the books.

What they found is cool.

I'm super cereal.

Check this out.

Breakfast cereal is less dense than water (and milk is mostly water).

It's buoyant, it weighs less than the milk it displaces.

That force of buoyancy pushes up on each ring, until it matches the downward force of gravity.

This interaction holds the Cheerios at the surface of the liquid, like little toasty

rafts drifting together on top of a sea of cereal milk (mmmm cereal milk).

It's a really complicated way of saying cereal floats.

But look closely at where the cereal meets the liquid.

It's curved up.

The same thing happens at the edge of the container, thanks to the meniscus effect.

Water molecules are sticky – they're attracted to each other, but they're even more attracted

to the edges of your bowl or glass, or to the edge of the cereal itself.

That "adhesion" forms a U-shape wherever the liquid meets an edge.

A buoyant object will always be pushed up the liquid to the highest point on a meniscus.

That's what makes them stick to the edge, and what causes the cheerios to become cheeri-amigos.

Any two nearby Os are pushed to a high point between them, and clumps are pushed towards

the overall highest point in the bowl, around the edge.

Let's try something denser.

I don't recommend eating paperclips, but toss them in water and they sink.

Place them carefully though, and you can get them to float.

They're too dense to be buoyant, they float because of surface tension.

Water molecules like to stick to each other so much, they can behave like a membrane that's

strong enough to hold up tiny things.

Let's try it with these thumbtacks.

Like the paper clips, you can see they're pushing that membrane dow, just not hard enough

to break through.

If I place another one nearby, watch what happens.

They're attracted to each other, just like the Cheerios.

But the water around each one is curving down.

Instead of climbing up the water like cereal did, they fall into each other's sinkhole.

We can mess this scenario up just by adding soap.

The chemical properties of soap lower the surface tension of water, so anything relying

on surface tension to stay afloat will sink.

But buoyant objects don't rely on surface tension, so they continue surfing the meniscus.

The first time I did this, I wondered if the tacks were being pulled together by static

attraction on the plastic coating or something.

So I put in just the plastic bit to see.

But instead of being pulled toward the tacks, something strange happened… they repelled

each other.

The same thing happens with Cheerios and a paper clip.

That's because light, floaty objects run away from the low points caused by the heavy

objects.

A buoyant object will always repel something held up by surface tension's stretchy membrane.

Just to be clear, you should never put thumbtacks in your cereal.

But this is what would happen if you did.

All of this made me wonder: What could happen if we could reverse the direction of water's

meniscus?

I coated this glass with a hydrophobic coating that does just that.

When I put thumbtacks on top of the water in here, they floated to the edge instead

of the center.

And that buoyant object did the opposite, it floated to the middle.

So that's cool and all, but does the physics of cereal clumping actually matter in the

real world?

It does if you're a tiny insect.

Take water striders,.

These pond skaters are nature's Cheerios.

They float so well that even a load 15 times their body weight won't make them sink.

They can even jump on water.

Tiny hairs on their legs trap air bubbles and increase their buoyancy.

They're basically wearing swim floaties on their feet.

Other aquatic insects like water treaders exploit surface tension, just like thumbtacks

and paper clips.

But they get in trouble when it's time to get out.

Gravity is pushing them into the depressions under their feet, but they've come up with

a clever way to climb the meniscus.

A running start doesn't work.

But by arching their bodies and lifting their front and back ends, the bugs curve the water

up, and are pulled to the edge just like the Cheerios were.

They're carried uphill by a physics-powered water escalator.

That's pretty cool.

If you can find science like this at breakfast, imagine what else you might see the rest of

day.

Try this for yourself, and see what other floating objects you can get to attract or

repel.

Leave a comment and let me know what you find.

And if you see any cool physics in everyday life I should check out in a future video,

let me know.

Stay curious.

Installing Can Lights - Smart Home Experts in St. Louis, MO. (Positive Energy Electric) - Duration: 2:21.

Hey there it's Matt with positive energy electric in St. Louis, Missouri

Installing recessed can lights is one of our most popular requests.

Understandably, so! It provides great overhead lighting it, goes in any room of your home,

and it can be dimmed to match your mood and controlled by a smart switch if you choose. So what's not to love?

Here's what you need to know:

We will work with you on quantity needed. Feel free to scroll through our Facebook page to see plenty of installed can light photos.

Before we cut any holes in your ceiling your electrician will lay out templates, so you can see exactly what the final layout will be.

We do have to pull new wiring to each can light location. If there's attic access above the room

we're working in, we will use that. If

not we may need to cut holes in your ceiling in order to expose joists.

This scenario is common if we're installing can lights in the main floor of a two-story home, for example.

Costs may vary depending on how easy or difficult

it is to get new wiring to the desired locations, and if your ceiling is drywall or plaster,

and if your ceiling is vaulted or standard height ceiling.

If you do have to cut your ceiling we do not patch and paint we leave that to the pros.

The most common size can light is a 5 inch can light installed with a white baffle trim

and we provide a standard LED bulb with a

2700 Kelvin rating, which is currently the most comparable to an incandescent bulb.

If you're looking to direct light, say over your fireplace, Gimbel style trims are a good option.

Recently, integrated LED trims have hit the market. This is a device where the trim and bulb are one piece.

There are pros and cons that we're happy to discuss with you if you're interested in this product. At Positive Energy

we install a dimmer switch on all new recessed can lights.

It's a very economical way to control the brightness at any given time. If you've integrated smart home technology in your house

recessed lights can be controlled by a smart dimmer and through Amazon Alexa.

Call our office today to set up your appointment. think smart. think positive.
