You may be interested to know that with Value Charge you can schedule charging for
when rates are lowest at any location at which you've previously charged or
plugged in.
Let me explain.
Value Charge settings depend on your vehicle's location.
Profiles are the setting preferences for different locations.
To set up a profile for a specific place, at which you've previously charged or
plugged in, such as your home, visit the MyFordMobile website.
To set a default profile for a value charge when charging anywhere besides
the specific locations, you can set up via MyFordMobile.
For all other charge locations,
you can set a default profile using the SYNC 3 system.
From the home screen, touch Settings.
Then you may need to swipe left to Charge Settings, here.
The charge profile for your current location is shown here.
This usually says Default Profile,
unless you're at a named Value Charge profile location.
Press the Edit button to the go the Value Charge Profiles screen.
At the top, you'll see the Default Profile settings.
Below that,
you can see the Value Charge profiles set up through the MyFordMobile website.
Press Edit to access the default profile screen.
Here you can specify Value Charge times for weekdays and weekends.
Your vehicle will schedule charging for the times you set.
Keep in mind that your vehicle may charge outside of these times depending on
when you plug in and your next go time.
Charging to 100% by your go time will always take priority.
You can also select the charging voltage to be used, either 120 volt or 240 volt.
The vehicle will use this value to help determine the charge start and
estimated complete times.
Finally, be sure to press Save when you're finished.
When you need to charge right away, you can press Charge Now.
Once pressed, the vehicle will always begin charging when plugged in.
Press the Value Charge button to re enable value charge.
