We are on holidays in South Italy.
We have rented Ford Fiesta in Europcar car rental service.
We figured we could share our opinions with you.
It's a version with petrol engine.
1.25
We won't be talking technical stuff
because you can check it easly on the website.
The engine surprised us with its'
performance.
As it is only 1.25
and the area here is quite hilly.
It manages quite ok.
Sometimes while driving uphill on the highway we could use more power.
But while driving in the countryside
you can't feel this need.
Acceleration is fine
same with slowing down.
Great for italian and polish roads.
We can feel this car is quite new
it's 2016, so the brake and the steering system
is really great and new.
When I drive more slowly the steering system
is softer and when I accelerate or
we are on the highway
it becomes more rigid.
It is really comfortable, the steering system is
quite precise.
It sticks to the road well.
Turnes easly.
You can well feel the size of this car.
Speaking of ergonomics
it is ok.
Gearbox is quite stiff and handy.
Driving experience is really good.
Gearbox is nice.
Let's talk about the design.
We are not too sure about it
beacuse
in my opinion from the outside this car is really pretty.
Of course it depends on the taste.
We've got the red version
like Ferrari
It's youthful from the outside
modern
but the design inside for me is a misunderstanding.
This on the dashboard is terrible.
We've got an angel
Julia calls it an angle, for me it's
an alien.
Terrible.
There is no good place for a smartphone.
iPhone 6 doesn't fit.
iPhone Se on the other hand does
but at an angle.
So if you try to put it there and use as a sat nav,
gearbox covers it.
Air conditioning pannel is ok.
It's easy to comprehend.
This design is just misleading.
We don't understand why it was designed that way.
Speedometer is clear.
Don't know what it is,
to this time appeared here only full beam indicator.
Despite strange size of the compartments
they are useful.
This one we use for the keys.
We've got the 12V plug
USB plug
and AUX plug
cup compartments
and another one for passenger in the back.
Door bins
can fit enough.
And the glove box.
What is also nice about the gearbox
is that it has
the system taken from automatic transmision
holding the car
on the uphill roads.
It holds the car in place for some time
It's really useful on a hilly area like here.
For 1.25 engine
and about 80 km without turbo
very nice.
We are pleased.
Fuel consumption is around 6,5 l.
For our trip the milage is already almost 1000 km.
On the highway
at around 140/150 km/h
fuel consumption increases
to around
7-7,5 l.
But the average fuel consumption
is about 6,5 l.
What else
as for boot space,
this is not huge
but for our needs is ok.
What is really positive -
seats are very comfortable.
During the longer roadtrips
back feels fine
they are truly comfortable.
Maybe it's due to lumbar section reinforcement
but usually we use some pillows to support our back
here we don't need it.
Seats are amazing.
We are truly satisfied with this car.
So our general evaluation
is positive!
See you soon!

You can get started!
Hang on, I have to get in the right mode first, dude.
Hey, Helge, what are we doing here, anyway? Are we making a hiking movie, or what?
No road, no cell phone reception...
- Don't be so impatient! Just enjoy the view. - Besides, you promised you were going to make the Le Mans thing up to me...
- I will, I will! Just be patient for a second! - How? We're in the middle of nowhere!
We're on the way there. I'm going to make the best amends of the year, I swear!
That I'd like to see.
- So, we're almost there... - Okay.
- ...this barn! - Were you planning to feed cows, or what?
No. Feeding cows? No, barns like these were where they put together the race cars for the 24-hour race in Le Mans back in the day.
- Yeah, I know, but that doesn't mean we have to go to one in real life. - All right, check this out. Ready?
- Tadaa! - Well, will you look at that.
- Well? - Some antique someone had in their barn, or what?
- Antique. Please! It's alive – check it out! Pow! - Did you arrange for it to be here?
- Of course! Do you know what it is? - No...
How about now?
- Yeah, it's a Ford GT, man! - Yes indeed!
Have you seen something like this in real?
- Not seen in reality yet… - This is an icon.
- …and above all, not yet driven. - Brand-new!
Just look at this design. It was developed for the race track.
This thing is built entirely of carbon. Carbon monocoque. Everything you see is made of carbon.
- And just look what it looks like from the back. - Man, look at that.
- Yeah. - ...it's incredible!
This is how I make amends.
- It looks amazing! Hey, do we have the right tires on it? - Yeah! We want to hug some curves. High alpine road! Cup 2!
Of course, what else.
Yeah. And this is how I'm making it up to you. This isn't a Ferris wheel. This is a champion's car. And the best part is, here's the key!
- Helge, you're the best! - I know. It says so on the Nordschleife!
- Dude. What a moment! - Fantastic! Look, the sun's even coming out.
Bam bam bam! So responsive!
This isn't just any super sports car. This is the direct descendant of the legendary car that Henry Ford II built back in the day.
Why? He actually wanted to buy Ferrari, but Enzo backed out, so he goes, "I'm going to get you now!"
Now I'll build the super sports car. And the GT 40 was born. It won Le Mans, I think, 4 times.
And this legend, this living legend, is with us on the road now!
I can't think of a single thing that could make this day less special.
- Hey, see that barn? You know what they've got in there? - OK, I thought of something after all...
Man! This car is the bomb! Could it get any better, Helge?
- It can always get better. - Why are you fiddling around on your cell phone again? Just check out this view!
Yeah, the view. I've had a view the whole time! I've got my eye on something else entirely. Ever heard of Speedhunters?
- No, let me see. - Worldwide community of photographers and gearheads like us.
- Yeah, looks good, nice pics. - Nice pictures, right?
- Yeah. - Yeah.
If you had thought about it ahead of time, you could have invited them here, and we could have done an awesome photo shoot with the Ford GT.
I mean, nobody ever gets to take pictures of this one.
I got in touch with them! And you know what? We're going there now. Larry Chen, one of the best, he's here.
That's cool!
- I know where we're meeting, so you can just hand over the keys. - What? Why?
- Because you don't know where we're going! - You can just tell me!
Look, do we want to meet the guy, or not? Come on, give it here. I'm driving! There we go.
That was a dirty trick, you!
Luckily we don't have to drive an RV.
I'm always surprised, Helge, how these tires stack up against your line choice, which is very interesting, after all.
- What are you talking? Look, a barn! - Aha, fine, I'll be quiet, Helge. I'll be quiet.
- There he is. - Sure is.
- Hey Larry! - Hey Helge! Nice to meet you!
- Hey Larry! - Hey Helge! Nice to meet you! - Nice to see you. - Nice to meet you, Matthias.
- Nice to see you. - Nice to meet you, Matthias.
Nice to meet you.
So great that you made it up to this beautiful place here.
- Are you kidding me? This place is amazing! - It's the 'Silvretta Hochalpenstraße'.
Yeah, it's perfect for shooting cars.
Yes. What will you do exactly when you traveling around the world?
Yeah, my job is something that I...
I always say shouldn't exist.
- You know... I travel the world to pretty much whatever country I want to go to. - Show us some pics!
Yeah yeah, sure! I have just a couple selections from, from over the years. Just some... Jumping trucks or whatever…
So I'm really looking forward to being able to actually like... really take some time to look at the shapes of the Ford GT.
- Let's do it! - Yes?
- Yeah. - You can take me around?
- You will see it? - That would be awesome.
- Let's go for a ride! - Yes, I'm looking forward to it.
- I will drive… - Yes.
- …you do the photos… - Okay.
- …and you do the photo car. - It's going to be a dream shoot! Dream car, dream road...
- …dream driver! - Yeah!
There it is.
- It looks so good, I love it. I love the color. - It's the Ford color.
- Yes! - Yeah!
- But Helge, you have to get out of the frame, or he can't take any pictures. - Yeah, yeah...
What do you think? What's the most beautiful view of it?
I think the best view of it is when it's driving.
Correct.
Can I have a look at your pictures you made from it?
- Yes, yes sure! - ...the driving shots.
- Here is just a couple of them. - Oh, this one is good.
Yeah!
- I want to do basically my last shot... And then... - Okay, the last shot, then we have to go also.
- Yeah, okay, alright! - Helge...
- One! We can take one picture this way. - One, two, three.
Yes, this will be your album cover.
- Okay. - Yes!
- It was good hanging with you guys. - Thank you so much!
- Thank you so much for bringing such an... - Thank you!
…awesome car. I'm so glad I got to shoot it. And you guys go enjoy it!
- So now you can give me the other keys? - What keys?
- Yeah, well, I mean, we haven't done a challenge here yet. - What?
- Yeah. We can't end a road trip without a challenge, right? - Oh, fine. Do you have one?
Yeah, I have an idea, but I have to drive there.
- Okay, okay, I'll tell you how to get there. - Yeah, that's a good idea. Now you're talking!
Yeah, yeah...
Key... That was a good one, for real. Not bad at all.
The rules are clear, right? We hit the water with the board.
The first one to fall down loses, and the winner gets to pick the destination for the next road trip when we go back on tour next year.
Okay, and: The winner gets to drive this baby home.
- Sure, that too. - Okay.
- Which one do you want? - I'll take the one on the left. Here we go!
Are you kidding me?
Hey... You rat!
Hey! No!
Yeah! Yeah! I got it! I got it!
Ah, it's so cold!
Oh, you can stand up over here!
Helge, what a day!
- Fantastic, right? - Well, all except the end.
- Really? I thought it was great. - Yeah... Why am I always the one to end up in the water?
- Don't ask me! - So, where are we off to now?
- You mean next year, on our traditional road trip? - Yeah.
I'll be sure to think up something good. But first, I get to drive a GT…

Road to Dubai Motorshow | Episode 3: Ford Mustang - Evolution of an Icon - Duration: 4:10.
Hello I'm Alix and welcome back to Ford's Road to Dubai Motorshow series
This week we're taking a look at a true motoring icon - of course it is the Ford Mustang
Road to Dubai Motorshow 2017 Episode three, Ford Mustang: Evolution of an Icon
It has featured in literally thousands of movies, been sung about
and even appeared on top of Dubai's very own Burj Khalifa
No points for guessing because it can only be, of course the Ford Mustang
Joining me today is Andrew Gregory - passionate Mustang owner
and Ford's Brand Marketing Manager in the Middle East and Africa
So Andrew, we're talking about a true legend aren't we - what is it that makes the Ford Mustang so, so special?
Well I think firstly one of the things that resonates with people
is that the Mustang has always been perceived as a an affordable performance car
it's got a really broad appeal - you might think of a certain type of Mustang driver
but the first-ever owner of the Mustang was actually a woman
in fact an American school teacher from Chicago and she still drives the same car today
Wow! So looking back 53, almost 54 years ago then it was quite a revolution?
Absolutely at the time was what we call a white space product
that is Ford had launched an entirely new type of car
in fact the press kit of the time actually described it as three types of car
it was an economical car a high-performance car and a high style luxury car
and customers responded brilliantly to it - it actually only took two years for Ford to sell its millionth Mustang
and then of course you have the legendary film appearances James Bond and Goldfinger in 1964
and probably most famously of all Steve McQueen
driving the 1968 Highland Green fastback in the film Bullitt
An absolutely fantastic film to watch and really recognizable
throughout the generations and over the years obviously the style has changed to fit the era
but I mean what is it that still makes it so iconic and keeps those traditional lines
Absolutely it's always been you know car a product of its time if you like going from a pony car to a muscle car
to arguably a more conservative and pragmatic platform in the late 70s and 80s
I think what it's always had though are those design cues that make it familiar as a Mustang
and that's something that is particularly strong in the current Mustang
particularly with the tri-bar taillights and the three LEDs that hark back to the original style of Mustang
And talking about the current generation then
what is it that allowed the Mustang to become the world's best-selling sports car in 2016
It was the first Mustang to be properly sold in Europe
and the difference between driving on a country road in the UK or Germany for instance
is completely different to a wide open straight road in the US for example
and I think the car had to be rethought and redesigned in order to cope with that
and it really benefited from that.
I think we also made really big strides on the interior
especially the cockpit that has really nice design cues that make you feel like you're actually in a fighter jet and
it's a really cool place to be.
You know, I drive my Mustang every day and every time I fire up the v8
it puts a big smile on my face.
I can absolutely tell that you're passionate about your car and a Mustang fan yourself
for those Mustang fans tell me is there some news that we should be looking out for shortly?
I think it's fair to say yes
but you know we've got some pretty exciting news coming but at the moment it's all hush-hush
Yes and as ever stay tuned to Ford Middle East's social networks for all of that special news
Thanks so much for joining us - we'll see you next week
when we'll have even more exciting new things to show you

That's why they bring you the Built Ford Tough Offensive Line of the Week.
[MUSIC]
Today we'll be looking at the massive responsibility of
the team's offensive tackle.
His most important job is to protect the quarterback's blindside.
Especially when he is falling out of the pocket.
[MUSIC]
It's all about protecting the quarterback.
And if tackled doesn't protect his blindside, things could get ugly.
[MUSIC]
But here's the big question.
When driving a truck, who's looking out for your blind side?
Enter 2018 Ford F-150's Blind Spot Information System with trailer coverage.
Not only does BLIS cover the F-150's blindspots,
it also covers the trailer's blindspots.
[SOUND] Remember our blind sided QB?
Like the tackle protecting the quarterback,
even with a boat in tow, F-150's bliss technology helps you
by detecting dangers you might not be aware of.
[MUSIC]
And there's even more engineered in.
With new pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection,
the 2018 F-150 can stop automatically at low to moderate speeds,
even if the driver doesn't hit the brakes.
[SOUND] This truck not only helps protect your
blind side, but your front side as well.
Bottom line?
Like the best offensive lineman, [SOUND] F-150 is there for you when you need it.

2018 Ford F-150: Tough Science – Long Snapper | F-150 | Ford - Duration: 2:22.
[SOUND] Hey, everybody, I'm John Brenkus, and this is Tough Science.
[SOUND] Ford trucks work like an experienced offensive line.
[SOUND] Unsung heroes working hard in the trenches every day.
That's why they bring you the built Ford tough offensive line of the week.
[SOUND] Today we'll be looking at the professional long snapper,
one of the most important positions in football.
[MUSIC]
From 21 feet away, this guy's got to snap the ball into a tiny window.
Hitting a target that's about the size of a 2"x 2" square,
in less than 2 1/2 seconds, for a perfect field goal.
If you think that's tough,
try backing up from 21 feet away to hook up a boat trailer.
Your margin of error is even tighter because your target is actually 64
times smaller than the long snappers, no worries.
The 2018, Ford F-150's rear view
camera with dynamic pitch assist puts you right in the sweet spot.
Every single time, and
just like how a long snapper can pretty much put the ball wherever he wants.
The 2018 F-150 can also weave it's way through the toughest courses and
put the trailer wherever you want with Pro Trailer Back-Up Assist.
It's as easy as turning a knob.
Pro Trailer Backup Assist makes the seemingly impossible a snap.
[MUSIC]
Bottom line, like the best offensive lineman,
F-150 is there for you when you need it.
The new 2018 Ford F-150, doesn't just raise the bar, it is the bar.

2017 Ford Super Duty: Towing Capability | Super Duty | Ford - Duration: 2:43.
Hey, Sean Riley again and in this video we're going to be talking towing.
Now if your in the market for
a Super Duty the odds are towing is something you do a lot of.
But let me tell you something this new Super Duty is going to let you tow
bigger loads easier than ever before.
Ford shaved a lot of weight off the Super Duty with a high strength military
grade aluminum alloy body.
They reinvested that in a stronger, more robust frame, bigger axles, and
upgraded suspension.
That translates to more towing capability than ever before.
[MUSIC]
This is the 6.7 liter Power Stroke Turbo Diesel V8 engine.
It was created in-house at Ford by a dedicated team of engineers.
They found a way to reconfigure the engine so that the turbo spools up faster.
That gives you more boost quicker, which means more torque and more power.
Add up the power of the 6.7 liter Power Stroke with the added strength that comes
from reinvesting the weight savings,
[SOUND] you get a truck that can tow more than any other heavy duty.
And do it with ease.
The standard trailer hitch is bigger and
stronger, factory installed right into the frame.
And with this weight-carrying hitch distributing bars are no longer required.
This is the factory-installed gooseneck hitch system.
Notice how it lies flat in the truck bay.
It's quick and easy to install.
[SOUND] Now, the high mounted camera here can actually zoom in, so
you can see the relationship of the hitch and the trailer as you're backing up.
Attachment point for a fifth wheel also come factory installed and
the innovations that help you tow go well beyond increased capability.
Powerscope trailer tow mirrors can be adjusted to move farther
away from the truck body at the touch of a button.
Another button folds them in flat against the cab.
You can monitor the pressure of the tire on your trailer without
leaving the driver's seat.
The PSI of each tire can be accessed on the productivity screen.
Super duty has a trailer blind spot information system that signals you in
the outside mirror when a vehicle is detected in a blind spot.
It provides coverage for
the truck you're driving as well as the trailer you're towing.
[SOUND] Even for the experts, backing up can sometimes be a challenge.
The trailer reverse guidance system enhances visibility to make it easier.
Visual guides are displayed on the center dash screen.
You'll get an enhanced view of where the trailer is going with
the guidelines changing in response to the steering wheel.
Like I said, this is the most capable Super Duty ever built.
It's one of many reasons who only Ford can say we own work.
[SOUND]
