This is the new Hyundai i30 N
Korean brand's first genuine hothatch
And this is FastFive - five the most five important facts about this model
[Design] Hyundai took slightly different way than Ford or Honda while projecting its hothatch
I30's stylistic package is not flashy and doesn't stand out from the crowd as much as e.g Civic Type-R
Despite all of that, it's not hard to notice that we're dealing with uniqe version
and that's thanks to rear spoiler
two exhaust's system endings
and more agressivly drawn bumpers, which enwreathe red laths
[Performance] Two-litred, turbo-charged T-GDI petrol
which generates 250KM and 353nM torque is i30N's heart
It allows Hyundai's hothatch to reach 100 km/h in 6,4 sec.
and its maximum speed is 250 km/h
Launch Control system will help us in perfect start from lights
If you want a little more you can also pay extra to the Performance package
which enhance N's power to 275km
Then the time, which is needed to reach 100 will reduce to 6,1 sec.
[Driving] The extremly directed steering system was implemented in i30N
Along with lowered body and electrically controled EDC suspension
they are elements which have positive influance on car's behavior on the bends
e will also be suprised when we look into the boot, and that's because of presence of thick, about 1 inch metallic strut which stiffens the body
What's more, the electric differential mechanism with limited skid was installed in Performance version
and also it will be possible to completely turn off the ESP
[Drive and gearbox] Just as in urban counterpart, N's power is being channeled to front axle
and the 6-steps manual is responsible for transmission
Although, in sport variation there was used the fortified clutch, which is supposed to stand numerous overloads
The way from intial position to gear will be short and precise to enable the change of location to be as smooth as possible
[Interior] Inside the car we will find the smallest amount of changes
What's drawing the most attention are thesports seats with strong side holding
the new three-armed steering wheel with drive's modes choices buttons
more suitable for car's character counters' set with red hands
and classic handbrake's lever
