hey everybody its Eric with Morris 4x4 Center coming back at you with another
video you know we're going to be going over some products that you guys might
find very useful here in the summer months of course you know it's summer
you're taking your hardtop off you're rolling the soft-top back taking the
windows out what do you do with your hardtop and your soft top and the
windows when you take it off your Jeep for those summer months where you want
that nice open air experience you know you want to keep your investment
protected you know you don't want your hardtop window to get smashed out you
don't want any corners to get chipped or your soft top the windows can get
scratched very easily you can lose parts to that well we've got the solution for
you we've got quite a few different great products that I'm going to talk to
you about to keep that investment protected okay for you hardtop owners
there's a lot of great solutions to remove the hardtop from your Jeep and
store it while it's off of your vehicle now a great one to talk about is the
lane choice the cart you know it's a fairly new product out there it's great
for removing your hardtop and you can actually rest and lay the hardtop on the
hoisted cart it also has some add-ons or as well it's also got the freedom panel
storage option as well as door hangers you can add to this cart so not only do
you store your hardtop you can also keep your freedom panels on there keep them
off the floor and protected and also hang your doors both two and four doors
on this cart so basically your whole Jeep can be taken apart and stored on
this cart now while we're on the topic of laying they've also got their voice
two tops now these are great if you've got a tall ceiling well you don't have
to have a huge ceiling but definitely a fairly tall garage to where you can
raise the hardtop off of your vehicle they've got three options in terms of
their hoist atop they've got a power one with a winch and then they have a crank
handle where you crank a drum around and it raises it up and then they have their
basic one which is just a real basic worm drive gear and a couple pulleys you
attach to your roof great solution for storing your hardtop up high in the air
if you don't have the space on your floor
and then another great solution is the smittybilt hardtop hoist that comes with
a thousand pound winch in a way raise your
hardtop off of the vehicle and you can also store your freedom panels on there
as well now speaking of those freedom panels do you know what do you do when
you take them off of your vehicle but you still got the hardtop on well
there's quite a few different storage banks for those freedom panels my
personal favorite is the Mopar freedom panel storage bag it's got nice padded
layers and it has a divider in the middle so you don't scratch your freedom
panels when they're on top of one another it keeps them perfectly
separated and you can just slide it into the back cargo area of your vehicle out
of sight out of mind and then it's protected with all that padding great
option for those freedom panels all right now we're going to move along to
soft tops you know the biggest concern that I get from my customers is what do
I do with my windows when I take them out of my Jeep you know they get
scratched so easily and you can't just leave them flapping around everywhere
because they could also fly out of the Jeep when you're driving well there's
definitely quite a bunch of different solutions for you guys some may not be
for others but we'll go over them for you the first one I want to talk about
is the Teraflex soft top window holder this is a piece of metal it's got some
velcro on it that you mount to the studs and on a wall somewhere in your home
wherever you choose and basically what you do is you layer your soft top
windows on this they use the factory velcro it just sticks right on there and
you layer them one on top of the other perfectly stored out of the way
nice and flat so they don't get any creases or anything like that definitely
an awesome solution now another great solution is the Welcome distributing
soft top window roll now this thing is crazy have you ever seen one of those
meat processors in a deli well kind of looks like that except you're not
processing your windows into a nice sausage patty or anything like that what
it is is you feed your windows one at a time into this storage roll and you
crank it around and around and they feed in end-by-end
and it rolls them up perfectly into this container and they like magically
disappear and then when you need your windows again you just back them back
out they come right back out and your windows perfect shape perfectly stored
protected nothing is going to happen to them in there now some more basic
options is like the best top cost windows storage roll that is basically
just a bit sheet of fabric and it's got the
dividers in there you just slide them on in there and that's basically it now you
can roll up that storage roll and it's got some straps that you can connect it
to your soft top if you've got it folded back or you can just leave it in the
back of your vehicle but actually pretty convenient pretty basic way of storing
your windows but basic isn't always a bad thing
and then also rugged Ridge makes a great window storage bag as well it's you just
unzip it it's got the layers it lays out flat throw it in your Jeep leave it in
your garage again whatever you need to do it's there for you so those are just
some options for your windows they all work great now another great solution to
store your hardtop is the best top hot hardtop storage cart and they also have
a door cart that goes with it as well again this is great you actually strap
it to your hard top on the Jeep and then you and a buddy you need to remove your
hardtop and you place it onto the ground it's got nice roller casters so you can
roll around easily inside your garage and then also the door cart you can put
up to four doors on this cart you can lay your soft top windows on there if
you have soft top windows and you only need the door cart you can also put your
upper doors on there as well it's a great solution they both have optional
covers as well so if you're going to keep them stored for a long time they
don't get covered with dust great solution check it out on Morris 4x4
center comm now since we're on the topic of Windows what about you guys with half
doors with the soft upper windows well there's some great options to store
those upper doors for you guys namely storage bags now mopar desktop and also
rugged Ridge make some great upper half door storage bags they've got a divider
in there you just throw them in there they're nice and padded and you zip them
closed and they they're perfectly store they come with handles so if you need to
take them with you there easily carry a ball or you just leave them in the
garage but again great options if you need to store the upper half doors again
that's rugged Ridge desktop and Mopar they all have great options now another
great solution for your hardtop freedom panels is Teraflex freedom panel and
full door holders these mount right on your wall and it comes with two brackets
so you lay one freedom panel on there and then
you can hang one door on one bracket and then you go to the other bracket and do
the same for the other side now here's a little tip for you guys make sure you
roll your windows down on the Jeep before you take them off and hang them
on these panels now for you four door people you also have the option to get
two separate door hangers as well obviously you don't have for freedom
panels so you can purchase those separately if you want to hang both the
front and rear doors now to store your doors because we know you guys love to
take your doors off your Jeep there's tons of different storage jackets and
hangers available to you guys now bestop and Mopar both make full door storage
jackets now you can only fit one door in these because they kind of take up a
little bit of room but again it's a big giant bag you push your door into it you
zip it closed and it stays perfectly protected they have nice padding all the
way around it so you know you're not going to chip any paint break any glass
or anything like that now also steinhager makes an awesome
door hanger as well now this is going to mount on your wall and basically it uses
the hinges of your doors and you slide them down into place and they're up out
of the way mount it to the wall nice and flat where they're not going to get in
the way of anybody now laying also makes a great full door holder for your
vehicle as well this is going to mount on your wall again and it has arms that
stick out that has some nice padding on it so you want to roll down your windows
and then you can hang up to two doors on the length full door holder again it's
on your wall out of the way nice and protected where they're not going to get
kicked or dropped or hurt or anything like that so guys these were just a few
solutions that we have available for you to store your hardtop the freedom panels
your soft top windows upper doors your full doors you know everything that's
removable that you guys love to take off your Jeep to get that nice open air
experience again you want to invest in these products because again your Jeep
is an investment and those parts are expensive you don't want to have to
replace anything on your hard top or the soft top windows or anything like that
it can be a pain and it can cost a pretty penny so we are here for you guys
