My name is Jo and I'm a certified child
passenger safety technician for Parkview.
Today we're going to talk about
putting a child into a high-back booster.
This high-back booster is up against the back
of the seat and the back of the booster
comes up to the middle of her head.
We are going to pull the seat belt and
shoulder belt around her
and buckle it up.
The lap part needs to go under the
armrests and then the shoulder belt
goes up and through the shoulder guides so
that it will stay in the right place.
The lap belt needs to go across her skeleton down here.
Not across the soft part of her stomach
and then the shoulder belt
goes across her ribs and the skeletal part here.
That keeps her safe in case
there's a crash.
The height and weight limits
are also in your instruction manual
for the booster seat
so make sure you check that
and then make sure the child does fit
within the correct height and weight limits.
It was pretty easy wasn't it?
Yeah.
