Audi adds Quattro to TT diesels
The evergreen Audi TT range now lets Brits mix TDI diesel power with grippy Quattro drivetrains. Buyers can now tick the Quattro box on the 20 TDI diesel, the most popular engine on the sports car range.
Its available in Sport, S Line and Black Edition models - in both coupe and roadster bodystyles. Full Audi TT TDI Quattro specs.
Despite Audis protestations to the contrary, adding all-wheel drive does dent average fuel economy by around 10mpg compared with a regular 20 TDI Ultra, with 52. And it will add around £3000 to the price tag, too.
Our advice? Think carefully if you need Quattro - a set of winter tyres might do a better job for less cash.
