This Smittybilt Standard Front Bucket Seat in black vinyl is for those of you that have
a1987 to 2006 Wrangler and are looking for a replacement front seat that is going to
be less expensive than some of the others because it doesn't have quite as many features
but is still a very high quality seat that looks good and is going to be comfortable.
Now Smittybilt does have a factory-style reclining seat.
They also have their Super Seat and some other higher end seats that are going to have additional
features, they're going to be a suspension-style seat, some more bolstering, some spots for
a five-point harness, different headrests, a lot of different features that all add to
cost, but also the functionality of the seat.
However, this is going to be one of Smittybilt's least expensive seats, it doesn't have a ton
of those additional features, and if that's what you're looking for, I think this is going
to be a really great choice.
This seat has a tubular steel frame that is covered in a black powder coat finish to help
it hold up really, really well, and this is going to be a metal spring seat with foam
overtop of it.
So it is going to be similar to that factory construction, but you're not going to have
a reclining mechanism built into the seat.
As it says right in the title, this is going to be a black vinyl seat.
A lotta people like the vinyl in their Wranglers, especially if you have a soft top Wrangler,
because it is so easy to clean.
That's personally why I like having vinyl seats in my TJ.
This again is going to be one of the more basic seats, but it is gonna be really comfortable,
and if you have a torn, beat up, or otherwise worn out seat in your Wrangler, this is going
to be a less expensive replacement option than some of the fancier seats that are available.
For the install, I am going to give this a one out of three wrenches, it's probably going
to take you around one hour per seat to get these involved, and you are going to have
to purchase the Smittybilt seat adapters to get these bolted up.
However, when you have those adapters, this is going to be a pretty simple and straightforward
bolt-in installation that's only going to require a socket set to get it done.
Now the first step is of course going to be removing your factory seats and your factory
seat brackets out of your Jeep, then you can bolt your Smittybilt seat adapters onto your
new seats, and finally bolt the seats with the adapters into your Wrangler.
Again, a regular set of sockets is all you're gonna need to get this done in your driveway.
I've said a couple of times now that this is one of Smittybilt's less expensive options
because it doesn't have quite as many features built into it, and for that reason this does
come in at right around $145.
I think if you're looking to get a replacement set of seats, you're looking for something
that's no-frills, this is going to be an excellent option for you.
And if you have a higher budget and you want some additional features, you can still go
with one of Smittybilt's many other seats.
However, of course you are gonna have to be prepared to spend a little bit more.
So if you're looking for a basic and inexpensive replacement front seat for your YJ or TJ,
I think this is a really nice offering from Smittybilt, and you can find it right here
at extremeterrain.com.

The Best Jeep Wrangler Exhaust For Off-Roading - High Clearance vs Factory - Duration: 7:14.
I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com and in this video, we're going to talk all about exhaust
systems.
Of course, you install an exhaust system for a better, lower exhaust note, a little bit
more exhaust volume out of your Jeep.
But there are also some systems out there that will provide additional clearance when
you do some hardcore wheeling on the rocks, and we have a couple of those here today.
We have a Flowmaster and a MagnaFlow cat-back that are designed for additional clearance,
and we also have a RedRock 4 x 4 factory-style replacement that's just a dual-tip axle-back
to give you a little bit of a different flavor.
We're not just going to talk about these exhaust systems, we're actually going to show you
how that additional clearance comes into play in the real world on the trail.
We've actually been out here wheeling for a couple of days.
These Jeeps have performed really, really well.
But we're going to put them in some of the toughest spots we have yet to really illustrate
those high-clearance exhaust systems for you.
So make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel to check out the other videos that
we shot this weekend.
Let's get into the exhausts.
So the first system I want to talk to you about is this Flowmaster American Thunder
system that we have installed on our red two-door.
This system is going to provide you with some really great sound.
However, it's going to be a little bit more mellow than some of the even more extreme
systems that we'll get to in just a second.
Here's a sound clip of this exhaust.
[00:01:16] [sound clip]
[00:01:23]
This system is going to completely delete the muffler from its factory location.
It's going to take the location that you would normally have a factory resonator if you have
one of the 3.6L engines, and it's going to put a smaller bullet-style muffler in that
spot.
From there, it's going to run exhaust piping back over the axle, which again is going to
mellow out that sound a little bit, and I really like the sound that you get from this.
Even more than the sound that you get out of this system, like we've been talking about,
you do get a ton of additional clearance from this.
However, because the tip still dumps after the axle, there is a little bit more pipe
to delete, and that's what the next system does.
So what we have installed on our Dune four-door here is the MagnaFlow Off-Road Pro cat-back
exhaust system, and this is going to be the most extreme system that we have out here
with us today.
Here's a clip so you guys can hear how this one sounds.
[00:02:09] [sound clip]
[00:02:14]
Just like the Flowmaster, this is going to delete your factory muffler from this area.
It's going to put a bullet-style muffler where that factory resonator would have been.
But instead of having some additional piping and dumping after the axle, this one actually
dumps before the axle.
So this is going to be one of the shortest systems that you can get, eliminating as much
pipe as possible, so you're going to have as little as possible there to damage on the
rocks.
This system is also going to be one of the loudest and throatiest systems out there.
Because it is so short, it's going to give you a much more raw exhaust note.
So this is the last system we have with us today, and this is going to be the closest
to a stock system that we're going to show you.
This is the RedRock 4 x 4 dual-outlet axle-back exhaust, and this is in black.
Here's a clip of how this axle-back sounds.
[00:02:57] [sound clip]
[00:03:03]
So if you are somebody who's going to be doing some serious off-roading, hitting the big
rocks, a system like this is probably not going to be for you.
There is a lot of stuff here to crush.
The factory muffler location leaves you susceptible to damaging not only the muffler, but the
exhaust tips when they're in the factory location.
So again, this is going to be for those lighter fire trails for some lighter off-roading,
or for those of you who just aren't as worried about getting into a situation where you damage
your exhaust.
If you are going to be hitting the big rocks, it probably pays to go with one of the higher-clearance
off-road systems.
There's just a lot less to damage.
So I gave you a little bit of information about these three systems.
Now, it's time to actually take them out on the trail and show where these high-clearance
systems really shine, and why if you're going to be hitting the big rocks, a system like
this axle-back over here might not be the best choice.
[00:03:50] ♪ [music] ♪
[00:03:56]
So we found an obstacle in the middle of the trail here that's definitely going to show
off the additional clearance that you get from this Flowmaster cat-back system, as well
as the MagnaFlow cat-back system and the lack of clearance that you get from that RedRock
system.
So we're going to take this Jeep over and see how it fares, and then run the other ones
as well.
[00:04:13] [silence]
[00:04:38]
So as you heard, we definitely came down pretty hard on the bumper coming off of that obstacle,
and those would have been exhaust tips being crushed if we didn't have this high-clearance
system installed.
The MagnaFlow system is going to give us a similar amount of clearance, so let's run
that one.
So the MagnaFlow system on this Jeep here is going to give us the most clearance.
It has the least amount of piping.
For the obstacle that we're running here, it's going to be a similar amount of clearance
from the Flowmaster.
You're not going to have any clearance issues, but let's run it and see how it goes.
[00:05:06] [silence]
[00:05:22]
So like I said, similar situation with the MagnaFlow system on this Jeep.
Having all that additional clearance definitely shines when you hear the bumper come down
on the rock there.
That definitely would have been some damage.
So let's move on to the third Jeep.
I think this is the one where you're going to see some issues.
So this is the last Jeep we're going to run over this obstacle.
I think that we are going to have some trouble with this axle-back system that is pretty
much a factory system.
If anything else, there's more tubing back there to bend up, because it has two outlets.
This is really going to illustrate why you want to run one of those high-clearance systems
if you're going to be playing on the rocks.
[00:05:57] [silence]
[00:06:10]
This is exactly why you want to have a high-clearance exhaust system if you're going to hit the
rocks hard like we are today.
We took this Jeep over the same obstacles as the other Jeeps, and the other ones have
zero damage.
This one, we have a broken hanger.
We have two tips that are slightly flatter on the bottom than they used to be, a bunch
of missing powder coat, a bent tube.
This thing definitely needs a replacement.
So like we said at the beginning, if you are going to be hitting the rocks hard, look into
those high-clearance exhaust systems.
It's definitely going to save you a headache and having to deal with a situation like this
one.
So that's it for this video.
I think we definitely showed you why you need one of these high-clearance exhaust systems
if you're going to be playing on the rocks.
It's definitely going to save you some time swapping out axle-backs over and over again.
We've been out here all weekend shooting some great videos, doing some light testing and
some winch comparison.
So make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel to check out those videos.

Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge Black Door Hinges (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 2:33.
These Rugged Ridge black door hinges are for those of you that have a 2007 and up JK and
are looking to change up the look of your Jeep by swapping over to some black hinges.
Now these are available for both the driver's side and the passenger side, and whether you
have a two-door or a four-door, you'll be able to use these on the front or the rear
doors.
So no matter what setup you have, you can get black hinges and get that look if that's
what you're after.
Now, there are some setups that will be hinge covers that you can purchase that are gonna
save you a little bit of money over purchasing these new black hinges.
However, if your hinges have bubbling paint, if they're a little bit rusty, if they're
worn out, or if you'd rather just swap out the whole thing rather than putting on a cover,
these are going to be a pretty nice option for you.
As with most parts Rugged Ridge that are more of an appearance part than anything else,
these are going to be priced fairly, in my opinion, for what they are.
These hinges are made of a cast steel that is covered in a black powder coat finish and
they are designed to be a direct replacement for the factory hinges.
All you need to do is unbolt those factory hinges, bolt these into place and you're good
to go.
These will slide right into the tub side of the hinge without any major modifications.
This install is going to be a very simple one out of three wrench installation, and
you should be able to get a pair of these hinges installed in about a half an hour,
maybe even a little bit less.
All you need to do is go ahead and unbolt those factory hinges from your door, lay these
in place and bolt them up with the included black hardware.
You're going to need an Allen head set of sockets for this job, and you may also wanna
have a razor knife handy to scour the paint around the factory hinges and around those
factory bolts to make sure that you don't pull additional paint off when removing those
hinges.
Other than that, there isn't a whole lot of adjustment in these hinges, you really just
bolt them up and you're finished.
Like I said before, I do think a pair of these hinges is fairly priced at right around $60.
If you are looking for a replacement, this is going to be significantly less expensive
than going to Mopar and trying to source a set of hinges from them.
And of course, you are getting the black styling with this setup.
If you do wanna save a little bit of money and you're just going through the look, you
can always get those covers and save a few dollars.
So if you're looking to swap out the hinges on your JK for a black set, I definitely recommend
taking a look at these ones from Rugged Ridge that you can get right here at extremeterrain.com.

Jeep Wrangler KC HiLiTES 50" C-Series C50 LED Light Bar w/ Brackets (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 5:55.
The KC Hilites 50-inch LED light bar with over-windshield mount is for anyone who wants
to add a ton of auxiliary lighting to your Jeep.
There's really only one spot on your Wrangler that you can mount a 50-inch light, but putting
one above your windshield is going to give you a ton of forward-facing light that's going
to reach really far out in front of the trail.
Obviously, this is a light that you're not going to be able to run on roads where there's
oncoming traffic, it will certainly blind that oncoming traffic.
However, for those dark backroads and of course for the trails, this is going to provide a
ton of light.
It'll basically look like daylight out in front of your Jeep.
This bar in particular does have multiple beam patters all built into one, it comes
with your brackets, your wiring harness, this is really a one-stop-shop.
However, KC Hilites is known for making a really high-quality part and while this is
a very nice light, it also has a price tag that goes along with it.
So if you're looking for the best of the best and a one-stop-shop, this is a really nice
option if you have the budget for it.
However, if you are on a little bit more of a budget, or you're not interested in quite
as much light, but you want a 50-inch light bar, there are certainly some other brands
to take a look at like Raxiom or Rugged Ridge.
As far as construction goes, this light has an extruded aluminum housing with a Lexan
lens, and the brackets themselves are steel brackets covered in a black powder coat finish.
That finish is going to resist rust and corrosion, and it's going to look really good on your
Jeep no matter what color Wrangler you have.
The brackets do come with rubber gaskets to protect your factory paint from any chafing
and these are going to bolt directly onto your windshield hinges so you're not going
to have to do any modification to the Jeep.
Getting back to the light, this light bar has 96, 3-watt LEDs putting out a total of
27,000 lumens of light, reaching 1,500 meters down the trail.
Again, this is an incredibly bright light if you're looking for one of the brightest
50-inch light bars on the market, this is a good place to check out.
Now this does have Cree LEDs and if you've been doing some research you'll know that
Cree has a really good name in LEDs.
These lights are gonna last a very long time and of course they produce a ton of brightness.
This light bar is set up like a lot of the other 50-inch light bars on the market where
the center section is a spot beam and the outsides is a flood beam giving you that really
far reach down the trail but also a nice scattering of light to the left and to the right.
As I said before this also does come with a wiring harness like most KC lights do, and
that'll make getting this wired up very, very simple.
One of the things that makes this light bar look a little different from some of the others
that we see on the market is the pig tail that comes on the light itself.
Usually this is a much shorter pig tail that just has two wires sticking off it, and you
have to make a connection to your wiring harness.
This comes with a weather-proof screw connector and what's even better is that the pig tail
is nice and long.
What that allows you to do is hide your wiring behind the bracket and get down into the cal
[SP] before you make this connection to the rest of your wiring harness.
That just makes wiring this light up very clean, and it'll protect that connector so
you're never gonna have any issues with shorting out.
Something else that makes this light bar a little bit unique is that the LEDs have their
individual reflectors, but between those reflectors is a non-reflective ribbed plastic.
So it does give the light a little bit more of a stealthy look because it is a little
bit more blacked out than a lot of those other 50-inch light bars, but it doesn't affect
the light output at all.
This installation is a very simple 1 out of 3 wrenches.
Getting the brackets bolted on is as simple as removing the five factory bolts out of
the windshield edge covers, holding your bracket up to the Jeep and replacing those five bolts.
Now on the driver's side, you are going to wanna leave that bracket a little bit loose
so that you can pull your wires down behind that, again making for a really clean installation.
After the brackets are bolted into place, you'll simply drop your light bar into the
notch mounts on the top of it, and you're finished with that part.
The rest is just running the wires.
But again, even if you're not comfortable with automotive wiring, this is going to be
a very simple process for you.
All you're going to need is stretch out the included wiring harness, you'll pick up a
positive and a negative at your battery, plug the weathertight connector from the harness
into the light, and finally pull a wire through the firewall into the cab so that you can
wire up your switch.
Now that's a perfect fine way to wire up this light.
It'll come on and off when you flip the switch on and off, but if you are a little more comfortable
with automotive wiring, if you have some other auxiliary lights, or if you have a switch
pod, you could certainly make this wiring harness work with any of those other scenarios
as well.
The whole installation for this light will probably take you less than two hours to get
done, and you're not going to need any specialty tools or any wiring tools, just some traditional
hand tools and some torque splits.
For a setup like this that includes the brackets, the wiring harness is a really high-quality
light, the price that you have to pay is around $1,000.
And for some of you who are looking for the best of the best, who want a very easy installation
because they know all of these parts are gonna work together, that doesn't seem like a horrible
price because of the quality of the light you're getting.
Now I know there's a whole other group of you that are saying $1,000 for a light is
just crazy, and that's okay.
If you are in that group, as I said before, there are a lot of other brands of 50-inch
light bars that might throw as much light or throw quite as far or have as crisp of
a beam patter, but they're still gonna get the job done and they are gonna save you some
money.
So that's my review of the KC Hilites 50-inch LED light bar with over-windshield bracket
fitting all 2007 and up JKs that you can find right here at ExtremeTerrain.com.
