Piers Morgan's return to Good Morning Britain axed after shock announcement?

He and Susanna Reid are set to come back to the show next week to continue their presenting duties. They have been covered by Kate Garraway, Ben Shephard, Jeremy Kyle, Charlotte Hawkins and Richard Madeley in their absence.

But Piers shocked fans as he made an announcement on social media this morning. DYNAMIC DUO: Fans had been looking forward to seeing Piers and Susanna return. He said: BREAKING (literally.) NEWS: Ive broken 3 ribs falling flat on my a**e.

Thanks to @ChelwestFT staff for speedy treatment. Fans quickly took to the post to question whether Piers will have recovered in time to return to the breakfast show next week.

One said: Does this mean we wont see you Monday morning on GMB? Or will you fight through the pain?.

WHAT NEXT?: Will Piers injury stop him from returning to GMB?.

MIXED RESPONSE: Love Island winners Kem and Amber have had a unconvinced response from fans.

Another added: Nooooo, not two more weeks of Jeremy Kyle. A third wrote: I was looking forward to you coming back on Monday, hopefully you will feel up to it.

A fourth chipped in: Lets hope we see you on GMB soon, Susanna will definitely miss you.
