Hyundai Motor has revealed plans to invest three-hundred-88 million U.S. dollars to expand
its U.S. manufacturing plant in Montgomery, Alabama.
The expansion will help Hyundai Motor produce its next-generation engine, which includes
technologies and components for its new sedan models.
Construction is expected to be finished in November and operations are due to start next
year.
Hyundai says the expansion will add new 50 jobs to the plant's existing workforce of
three-thousand full-time employees.
It's the Korean auto giant's biggest investment in the Montgomery plant since it opened in
2005.
