Auto news on Youtube May 30 2018

Hi, you are watching BikerMW73!

Today we will change oil and oil filter

in BMW F650CS!

This extraordinary model has an unusual structure,

and complete lack of information

makes repair or upgrade deliriously complicated.

But this is not a purpose to stop!

In this video we will explain,

how to change oil and oil filter without any mistake.

I'm sure, that 50% of riders don't even know, where it is installed.

So... Let's go!

1) Discharge

The dry-sump oiling system is used in this motorcycle.

There is an oil tank in frame, under the false tank.

Oil from the tank through pump goes to engine.

This helps to avoid oil starvation, but then you need to unscrew 2 bolts, instead of 1, to discharge.

First is at left, at height of your knee.

Unscrews with inside 6-end star.

If you need to discharge an oil tank, then put the bike on side step and bounce this bolt off!

Keep in mind, that there is more then 2 liters of oil.

The second bolt is on the bottom, it is used to discharge an engine.

Unscrews with 23-size head.

2) Change of oil filter

On 650CS oil filter is installed on the right part, down, behind a round cover.

To get it, you need firstly to detach front part of belt casing.

Then you can detach a filter cap.

It is difficult to pull a device out manually,

but it is quite easy with magnet.

Is it necessary to install the filter in such position?

Of course!

Wide end and narrow end,

Install like this!

3) Pouring oil

According to one old manual, recommended oil for this bike is

Castrol 10W-50 4T, but it is difficult to find...

Felix said, that you can fill both 10W-50 and 10W-60. Generally, our Motul is OK.

What we do now: we fill oil tank fully, then start a motorcycle,

some oil will be pumped in engine. Then we check oil level and fill it one more time.

Then we start it, warm up and correct the level.

It worked some time, oil is warm and pumped.

Let's check oil level!

Too low... Let's correct it!

You need to fill, start engine and check oil level until it stop decreasing.

If oil level is more then maximum, then you can remove some oil, using syringe.

I think, we will lose something like 4 liters...

Yes, I think 4. More then 3.5, I assume.

Like in real car!

Hm... Yes. In dry-sump systems there is a lot of oil, really.

Tank, hoses and all these different pieces - oil is everywhere.

I had a Yamaha Warrior, there were 5 liters!

There are only 700-750 milliliters left of 4 liters!

Dry-sump system had eaten 3.25 liters of oil! Wow!

Let's have a ride! (I feel myself a superstar...)

So... That's all. I hope, the video was useful for you!

Thanks, Felix and Moto-Fix workshop!

Without your help, we would brake a bike at all. However, whom it disturbs...

You can check a description in order to see his YouTube channel!

And I say goodbye to you, good luck!

2018 BMW 530e: REVIEW - Duration: 4:40.

Hi everyone I'm Sharnelle from Dilawri Group of Companies and today we're

checking out another electric vehicle, this time from BMW. Today we have the

2018 530e iPerformance. It's the all-wheel drive plug-in hybrid version

of the 5-series, their popular midsize luxury sedan. Keep watching for our

overview and don't forget to subscribe to see more from Canada's Largest

Automotive Group. We share videos every week.

The 530e has a 2.0L TwinPower

single turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired to an 8-speed automatic

transmission. Because it is a hybrid it also has an electric motor, making a

combined 248 horsepower and 310 combined pound-feet of torque. Let's talk about

the electric aspect of the 530e before we get into the finer details. The charge

port door is up here. The door for the gas tank is on the other side of the

vehicle. When you charge this 530e you have a couple of options. A standard

120 volt household outlet will charge this in about five hours and an external

BMW Wallbox charger will cut that charge time down to about three hours.

What's really cool is that BMW is actually working on an inductive

charging pad for the car which can be installed inside or outside so you don't

have to worry about plugging it in. All you need to do is drive over the mat to

charge it. At this time it's still a prototype but Canadians may expect to

see that come to fruition closer to the end of 2018. The range on the 530e is

about 50 kilometers, but you do also have regenerative braking. With the 530e you

don't really have to worry about range anxiety because you do have access to

the electric motor as well as the internal combustion engine. At the time

that we're sharing this several Canadian provinces are offering incentives on the

530e. In Ontario you could get up to a $7,000 incentive, in Quebec

you can get up to $4,000, and in BC you could get up to

$2,500.

This is the Alpine White exterior paint colour-- a BMW

classic. The 530e does look slightly different from a regular 5-series and

that's because certain elements have been added

to distinguish it as an EV like the eDrive badges. You do get LED headlights

and fog lights and if you opt for the M Aerodynamic Package you get a few

additional exterior features like an M front and rear bumper.

The 530 comes standard with 19-inch rims but you can upgrade to the M performance

version or the 20" inch BMW Individual 20" inch wheels. The classic 5-series

styling carries from the front to the rear with defined yet elegant lines. When

you open up the trunk you have access to 410L of cargo space. Let's jump

inside and have a look at the interior.

This is the Canberra beige with contrast stitching and piping leather interior

with the aluminum Rhombic trim with satin chrome highlights. The Interior

Comfort Package will give you ventilated seats and massaging seats for the driver

and front seat passenger. There's also lumbar support for a more supportive

seat. The 530e just feels so luxurious and so comfortable. A heated steering wheel

comes standard on this car for those colder days and on the warmer days you

can pop open the sunroof.

When it comes to tech, the Premium Package Essential

will give you a handy head-up display, comfort access, and BMW ConnectedDrive.

The iDrive infotainment system can support Apple CarPlay,

Android Auto and Bluetooth. It comes standard with a Harman Kardon surround

sound system which can be upgraded and you can control everything with the

controller in the center console and what's neat is you can actually write on it

so you're not constantly scrolling or poking the screen to type in an address

for the navigation system. Another interesting feature is BMW's gesture

control. There's also wireless charging. You have three drive modes to choose

from: Sport, Comfort, and Eco Pro, and you

also have the ability to customize how you want to power the 530e.

AUTO eDrive is the standard mode and that maximizes efficiency from both the

electric motor and the engine, and then you have MAX eDrive which is

the fully electric mode and lastly you have Battery Control which allows you to

customize the output from the battery. When it comes to safety,

the 530e is equipped with a list of safety features that come with the

Driver Assistance packages. This includes Park Assistant Plus with a surround

view camera, collision warning with city braking, lane departure warning, blind

spot warning, rear collision prevention and more.

If you're considering a 5-series

that's a little bit more eco-friendly, you'll definitely want to consider the

530e. It has all the luxuries of a regular 5-series but with the added

benefit of having an easy to charge electric motor. Learn more about the 2018

BMW 530e at your nearest Dilawri dealership. Start your journey at
