Can I ask you a few questions?
Yes, of course.
Great!
Who are you and what do you do here at Audi?
Richard Gutte Development Electric Motor PHEV
I am Richard Gutte and I work at Audi as a coordinator for electric motor development
for hybrid vehicles, electric cars – for everything to do with an electric drive system.
What kind of drive do you think we will be on the road with in the future?
Samy Behrooz Development High-Voltage Systems
It will be a good mix.
We will be on the road with the electric drives, with natural gas drives
and, of course, also with conventional drive concepts.
For the city, I think, electric cars.
But for anything that goes for longer distances, hydrogen is more likely.
What do you think? Which drive systems will we be driving with in the future?
Lorhena Rodriguez Hernandez Intern, Component Visualization
With Audi, right?
What makes your job exciting for you?
Tobias Enzinger Development Power Electronics
It is building a bridge between the old - what has already been achieved, the know-how
from mechanical engineering: bolts, ball bearings and such, a transmission, what you know
and can do, where Audi already has 100 years of experience – and the new.
Power semiconductors, silicon, Silicon Valley, machine learning, microcontrollers.
I find combining these things at Audi so exciting.
The highly dynamic environment.
Martin Jakubowski Risk Management Drive Systems
What always fascinates me is that you still have a lot of latitude
in this early phase.
And we make the products better by simply identifying at an early stage
the problems we would otherwise have come across later on.
Some call it work, you call it …
Engineering!
A very good work, I don't know. (Laughs)
Passion.
