Smart Brains Can Make Dumb Investment Decisions Pt 1 - Duration: 1:24.
FRAMING
Since we feel losses more acutely than gains, people tend to seek positively framed information.
In a 1984 study, physicians were presented with a hypothetical case of an epidemic that
was expected to kill 600 people.
Two programs to combat the disease were proposed;
Program A would result in 200 people saved.
Program B would result in two-thirds of the 600 people dying.
72% of the respondents chose program A even though the results were identical.
How do you frame your decisions?
Do you take information at face value, or do you question how it is presented.

Can I share my Netflix Password? - Smart DNS Proxy - Duration: 3:26.
I know you share your Netflix account with your friends and family.
[You sly bugger] But what's Netflix's take on it?
Are they cool with you sharing your Netflix password, or you can soon find yourself legal
hot water?
[Intro] G'day i'm Vamsi from sdp and today, we'll
see when it's Okay to share Netflix account and when it's not
So, according to the recent survey by Reuters with more than 4,400 adult participants,
Twelve percent of adults who use streaming services such as Netflix have done so for
at least one service by using credentials from someone outside of their household at
some point including philanderers.
That share is higher among viewers ageing between 18 to 24.
Twenty-one percent of those young-adult streamers have borrowed someone else's password.
Meaning, if sites like netflix, started cracking down on password sharing they could make as
much as $391 million or more in a year
Netflix doesn't specify in its terms of service about who can have access to a user
account , though it does say that account owners shouldn't share their log-in details
with anyone.
There isn't much information out there in the public, however when Netflix executives
were asked about these issues, these were their replies.
Netflix's CEO Reed Hastings clarified
"We love people sharing Netflix whether they're two people on a couch or 10 people
on a couch," . "That's a positive thing, not a negative thing."
He later added that the company sees account sharing as the first step in its broader user
acquisition strategy.
As kids move on in their life, they like to have control of their life, and as they have
an income, we see them subscribe separately,
chief financial officer of netflix said the following at a goldman sachs conference last
september
"We could crack down on it, but you wouldn't suddenly turn all those folks to paid users,"
The CEO didn't comment then on non-family members sharing accounts, however, as this
points it's clear, as long as you are sharing password with your family member living together,
you are good to go.
So, what's allowed
Sharing within your immediate household -- yup Using your parents' password whilst at college
-- no issues there Sharing Netflix with your roommates with whom
you are already split expenses - cool
But
Sharing with extended family members or strangers - thats a no no
Sharing with friends or colleagues - don't
Wrapping up
Overall, Netflix's rules are worded so permissively that it's hard to imagine the company objecting
to account sharing. but of course, if they may face pressure from investors to change
course if new sign-ups slow down substantially,
And even if the company eventually decides it's time to crack down on account sharing,
they're not likely to go after users in the courts, but instead would consider technical
solutions that could prevent, or at least make it more difficult share accounts , like
using geolocation or restrictions on concurrent streaming sessions, etc.
However, don't misuse the freedom, only share the Netflix password with someone you
trust, preferably who you live with.
Remember: If things go south, your partner can easily comandeer your netflix account
and change the password and the linked email.
Meaning you won't be able to watch your Netflix while you are Actively paying for
it.almost sounds like the start if a bad joke
If you ever come across this situation, you can contact netflix

So, that's pretty much it.
If companies do crack down on password sharing, would you be willing to pay for your own Netflix?
Or will you move on to something else?
Let me know you in the comments below.
As always, I'm vamsi from sdp and thanks for watching.

Payer Experience for ON Contracts with Smart Tuition - Duration: 5:42.
Hi! My name is Derek and I'm part of the K12 User
Education team here at Blackbaud.
The final video in the Smart Tuition series shows
what the experience is like for the end user and payer.
By the way, make sure to check out our previous
videos on Smart Tuition. Part 1 gives a detailed
look at setting up the integration.
Part 2 focuses on building contracts with Smart.
When responsible signers log in, a banner
alerts them if they have any Contracts to review.
They can also access Contracts within Files and
Forms. Each contract displays a status such as
Pending, Review, Continue, and Completed.
If a contract is waiting on a second payer to sign,
a status also displays here for first payers as well.
When responsible signers select the Contract,
the product detects whether that user previously
used the Smart SSO from your "ON" Resource Board or Smart Integration.
If a Smart Family Account already exists, then the
user goes straight to the first available tab in the Contract.
When the user selects tuition plan selections,
they're automatically linked to that Smart account.
If the integration doesn't detect an existing Smart
Family Account, the parent/guardian will need to make a choice.
If the user previously used Smart, they can enter
their Smart login credentials to link the accounts.
If the user does not have a Smart Account with
your school, they should select No.
A new Smart Family Account will be
automatically provisioned when they submit the Contract.
After viewing the student information, payers are
taken to the Fees which include all required and optional expenses.
These can cover things like hot lunch, after
school programs, tuition or whatever else the school previously defines.
Required fee items are already added to the total,
while parents can select any additional optional fees.
The final tuition and fees are then totaled and displayed at the bottom.
For Payment Plans, the Parent/Guardian will see:
Manage Billing Information
Select a Payment Plan & Method
Review Terms & Conditions
By default, the user's Home address from their
"ON" profile is listed for Billing. But the user can
Edit it to enter an alternative billing address.
Please note: If the user changes the billing
address, is will ONLY BE STORED IN SMART TUITION.
It won't be stored in the "ON" user profile.
When a user chooses a Payment Plan, Payment
Methods appear based on the Smart Tuition setup.
Users then enter the necessary information to
use the Payment Method of their choice and determine bill dates.
Please note: When credit card processing fees
are passed to the payer, a message displays
letting them know it's going to be assessed.
Users select Tuition Insurance if their plan uses it.
They aren't enrolled in Tuition Insurance when
they select it; rather this is a yes/no indicator for your insight.
The integration also pulls in the Smart Tuition Terms and Conditions.
With the details entered, parents then sign and date the contract.
If any information is missing from a previous
section, selecting To Review highlights any missing information in red.
Once set, the payer can proceed to the contract
review screen to verify everything previously entered.
Remember, the Smart Tuition integration supports
up to two responsible signers for the contract.
The first signer can choose to set up a Split
account with the second signer. The second
signer then sees a message indicating that they're
added to an existing account or setting up their own.
Under a joint account, the second signer
accesses the Payment Plan tab where he or she
can choose to Review the Payment Plan
selections made by the first signer.
OR
Set up a second Smart Family Account with
unique selections commonly known as a split account.
Smart Tuition supports up to 2 Family Accounts
per Student. The integration assumes there is a
50/50 split in financial responsibility between the
two signers. Users should contact Smart Tuition
to make any adjustments for their arrangement.
Credit Card details will never be shared with the
second signer under any circumstance.
The Parent/Guardian should review their Tuition
Management Plan Selection, submit it, and then
proceed to the Deposit section of the contract.
The Deposit Screen shows their Deposit Amount
(minus any deposit rule exceptions) as well their
additional Enrollment Fees and Smart Admin Fee if
the school passes that along to parents.
The user chooses a payment method (including
using the same credit card they have set up as their Tuition payment method).
Processing fees can be passed to the payer.
The Deposit will be processed and managed
within Smart Tuition to facilitate reconciling payments.
If a family has multiple children attending the
school, the integration presents an option to
create a unique Smart Family ID for each.
This is entirely optional however as families can
also choose to leave all children on the same account.
For more detailed information about the onBoard
Contracts/Smart Tuition Integration, make sure to
check out our help center documentation including
the other videos in this series.
As always, thanks for watching!
