previous model thanks to new powertrain options, better towing capacity and a larger rear axle

that increases the maximum gross combined weight-rating.

Here are the main changes you need to know: One of the main improvements vs the 2017 Ford

F150 is that its towing capacity increases significantly to an impressive best-in-class

13,200 pounds!

The F-150 has grown in Technology as well: * New segment-first enhanced adaptive cruise

control with stop-and-go functionality has been added.

* New segment-first Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection is available to help

drivers avoid or mitigate crashes * Newly available embedded 4G LTE modem with

Wi-Fi hotspot allows customers to connect to the internet.

* New B&O PLAY audio system is also available * Blind Spot Detection is available with trailer

coverage technology which is optimized for the new 2018 Ford F150 to include up to 33

feet of trailer length.

POWERTRAIN:

The 2018 Ford F-150 arrives with an even more capable powertrain lineup that includes six

engines: * 3.3-liter PFDI V6 with flex-fuel capability

* 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 * 5.0-liter PFDI V8 with flex-fuel capability

* 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 * 3.5-liter high-output EcoBoost V6

* 3.0-liter Power Stroke diesel V6

For 2018, F-150 introduces an smaller 3.3-liter V6 that delivers 8 more horsepower and 12

pound-feet more torque than the previous 3.5-liter engine.

The 5.0-liter V8 gets 10 more horsepower and 13 pound-feet more torque.

And for the first time, the truck adds an available all-new 3.0-liter Power Stroke V6

Ford F150 diesel, paired with Ford's SelectShift 10-speed automatic transmission.

The Ford F150 diesel engine will be available in spring of 2018.

The new F150 now pairs the 10-speed automatic-transmission with its 2.7-liter and 3.5-liter EcoBoost

engines, as well as the 5.0-liter V8.

There are also some important changes in the EXTERIOR of the new 2018 Ford F150

* A new Horizontal twin-bar grille conveys strength, precision and muscularity.

There are 6-different front grille styles to choose from.

* All-new C-clamp headlamps wrap tightly to the grille, offering LED lighting and signature

daytime running lamps.

there are also Six all-new wheel designs ranging from 18 inches to 22 inches

* New tail-lamps with LED illumination are available; lamps integrate with the truck's

Blind Spot Information System'
