Ursa Mini pro Internal Design shoot breakdown & Resolve Grading Tutorial - Duration: 7:53.

everyone remain committed Carmen in this video as I promised in my last video

breakdown I'm going to take you with me to the behind the scene of my internal

design video shooter was on recently as usual I'm going to show you the

equipment they set up the grading workflow and the most important part

what I think I could do better next time I did this work for a friend of mine

which is an amazing designer and does work all over the world you can check

her out in this link basically the shot itself was simple I knew I wanted the

camera on the slider and I knew I'm going to shoot raw as I will have to

balance the light coming in from the window to the underneath areas setting

there is a mini pro to shoot raw is fairly simple just hit menu choose the

correct menu page and move the recording options to raw one important note if

you're going to shoot lossless raw your files are going to be very heavy but you

will be able to break them in Premiere Pro if you choose other formats overall

you will have to grade the files in DaVinci Resolve and if needed export

from there and then edit in Premiere Pro which is what I did in this shot another

thing I like to do is to set the project frame rate to 24 turn on off speed

recording and set my off speed frame rate recording to 60 which then gives me

the ability to use the high frame rate button on the side of the Ursa to move

from 24 frames per second to 60 frame per second because well I just love slow

motion so once I got set up and try to use my electric lights I discovered that

the house electric system couldn't handle the voltage so I had to move to

my aperture LED lights and we got going now on that note I think a good

videographer is not someone that can get the job done at pristine conditions but

is actually someone that can get the job done in spite of things not working

which happens a lot now before we see the Edit which is not the final edit

just a short clip of the house let's look at the grading part in the Vinci so

let's get started I'm first going to navigate in onto my desktop because I

kept the raw file there for this demonstration I'm going to go to desktop

just click on desktop and my video will appear here here it is so I'm going to

grab this this is the raw clip that I shot I'm going to grab this drag it into

my media pool and then over to my edit tab grab the video from

here and drop it into my timeline now this is going to take longer to have a

preview and kind of render out because of the system that I'm working on I'm

working on my laptop computer and you probably need a strong computer for this

but I'm doing this just as a demo I'm going to hold down alt and then delete

the audio file and then I'm going to go over to my color tab to do some fast

color grading now over in my color tab I'm going to go into my camera tab and

in decoding using I'm going to go to clip on white balance I'm going to put

it on daylight and then on color space I'm going to just move it to rec 709 and

this is going to make the daylight option is going to make everything kind

of reddish so we can play around with this let's go to cloudy let's play

around with the shade so you know what I'm just going to leave it on as shot

all right now if you want to see the clip in full screen you can press

command F and command F to get out of that and if you want to see it in this

mode you can hit shift F now let's start there kind of grading this I'm going to

do some a very simple color grading I'm going to go to my game and push it up so

we can have the highlights opened up now you can see that I'm kind

of keeping over here but that's fine because I'm actually keeping this area

which is not necessarily too much information doesn't have too much

information but I don't want to have too much taping so I'm just going to kind of

play around with that I'm gonna go to my lift and push it down which is the dark

areas over here so now I have a kind of a well-balanced image I'm going to bump

up the contrast and then after doing that play around with the list again

even reduce that and then I'm going to push up the shadows a little bit and I'm

going to put my saturation on ten so basically that is that is it now let's

look at the edit so now that you know how the grading was done once I finished

the grading in DaVinci Resolve I exported it from there and imported them

into Premiere Pro and then using the track map effect created some animation

use the work stabilizer for some extra smoothness and that part is done with

regards to equipment having shot this in raw helped a lot another important point

about shooting in a situation like this with a lot of light coming from the

outside you need strong lights to counter the light coming from the

outside and you preferably should use battery-operated lights is I use the V

Mon battery from our Ursa mini Pro I decided to buy the aperture 120 D which

also use V mount batteries and of course a good softbox is always a must for an

operator like myself and as my v-mon battery is only 95 watt hour which gives

me about 45 minutes of shooting with Ursa mini Pro I decided to also get an

IV X system 147 watt hours v mount battery so I'll have two batteries one

for the Ursa and one for the light and as I was already shopping I decided to

get a new slider for the Ursa and went with the Rhino basic slider bundle after

reading a lot of good reviews on it and now for the important part what I would

do differently in another shoot just like this use more light

in shots like this you need to be able to counter the light coming from the

outside and also light up corner and darker spots if you look at this shot

you can see that this area is less lit as the light from outside is actually

coming from the window in the kitchen I handle this by putting one of my

aperture LED lights on the ground and just adding more light to the brightness

of that area having foreground and background

objects camera movement is always emphasized by having one or two objects

one closer and one further away from the camera look at these two shots in which

one you see the movement of the camera better the one with a foreground object

in interior-design shots like this I think big flower arrangements closer

to the camera will do the job add color look at these two shots I

think this one looks better because it has a clear foreground and background

objects but it also has contrasted colors the colorful seats just make the

image look better should close-up cutting between a wide-angle shot and a

close-up will help to emphasize specific location or features and will help the

flow of your edit another very important part is to get the client to do some

homework and show you videos that he or she like so you can know what you're

aiming for otherwise you will find yourself doing work twice and the client

is not happy come prepared for the weather if you're shooting in hot

locations get good sweat evaporating clothes

it always looks better and you will not be wet and smelly once the shot is over

Valk Mini Review! - Duration: 2:55.

The most famous cubes usualy come in different colors or versions,

but few come in different sizes.

This is the case of the Valk Mini

and as the name implies,

it's a smaller version of the popular Valk 3

It's 47.4 mm, as compared to the 55.5 mm of the normal Valk,

both in honor of Mats' World Records

Compared to other mini 3x3's

it's in the middle of the spectrum as size is concerned,

but it's by far the best,

just because it's newer and similar to a Valk.

But there's a few differences with the standard version.

The pieces are almost to scale, but they've got the same thickness, which makes it more dense and resistant.

The spring size is also kept, and the screws are slightly smaller.

Beyond these, everything else is scaled-down.

This means it's got the same exact performance as a normal Valk. It can even be magnetized, which is what I did to mine.

Despite this, i can't get the same times I do on the bigger one.

Why?

Simply because of the size.

Some moves and algorithms with D moves are hard to perform.

I also find it a bit small for One-handed solving.

You might be wondering then, what is this cube for?

Well, I found two main uses:

Cubers with small hands, probably the younger ones.

If they want to choose the best cubes, they're not in a disadvantage anymore.

They can now have the best at either size.

the second use case would be

To carry around with you everywhere.

Since it only takes up 62% of the space

it's a lot more comfortable to bring around and place

in backpacks, pockets or wherever you might carry it.

Apart from this, it's a great addition to your collection

And it won't cost 47,4 dollars

Personally, I'm extremely happy with mine,

and it'll allow me to do some solves wherever I am.

Updated August 24 KST:. BTS has now shared new information about their upcoming release, following their big announcement earlier today. Soompi. Display. News. English. 300x250. Mobile. English. 300x250.

ATF. The group will be releasing a mini album entitled "LOVE YOURSELF 承 Her'" on September 18. It has been described as the first album in their "Love Yourself" series, which is planned to continue on into 2018.

The mini album is said to portray young people who have fallen in love. There will be four versions of the mini album, and it will include a hidden track that was produced by Rap Monster.

BTS has shared news about their much-anticipated return!. On August 24 at midnight KST, BTS announced that they will be making a comeback on September 18 with BTS LOVE YOURSELF 承 Her.

Pre-orders for the new release will be opening on August 25, with more information to be announced via their fan cafe later on. As they gear up for their comeback, BTS recently.

During his presidential campaign, Donald Trump continuously told us that the war in Afghanistan

was a mistake, it's been a failure. We shouldn't be there and he was going to pull the troops

out if he got elected President. Well, unfortunately, that last point did happen and so, earlier

this week Donald Trump announced that not only was he flip flopping on his decision

of not pulling us out, but he was also going to be sending more American troops over to

Afghanistan at the recommendation of people like H. R. McMaster and James Mattis.

According to reports that came out late yesterday, one of the tools that McMaster used to convince

Donald Trump to escalate the war in Afghanistan, were pictures from the 1970s of Afghan women

wearing mini skirts. This story probably shouldn't be as surprising as it actually is and I'm

sure McMaster was probably playing on Donald Trump's misogynistic disgusting behavior,

saying look what we could be looking at over there, right. What he claims he was doing,

was showing Donald Trump that look, western culture, once flourished in this part of the

world and it can again and the women can look like this and you can go over there and we

won't say a word about anything.

Here's the thing that McMaster didn't quite explain to Donald Trump. It wasn't just Afghanistan

where women and men and everybody basically was embracing western culture prior to the

1970s in the middle east. Iran, Iraq, a lot of those countries. Most of those countries

to be exact. But then, when the Islamic revolution came along in the 1970s, everyone of those

countries was taken over by the radicals and now that's why we see what we see over there.

U.S. involvement is not going to change that, just like Russian involvement decades ago

did not change it or prevent it or stop it.

Afghanistan is known as the graveyard of empires because it is essentially seen as an unwinnable

war, no matter what you're fighting for, who you're fighting with or what you're doing.

The geography of the area, the politics of the area, the allies that they have surrounding

themselves with, it's damn near impossible and somebody as incompetent as Donald Trump

is not going to change that. Neither is H. R. McMaster. Nor is James Mattis, but all

they had to do was show Donald Trump a picture of women who were wearing skirts slightly

above the knee and say, "Look, we could have this again. Just send us a few thousand more

young American soldiers to go die over there and we'll be one step closer to women that

look like this picture." That is absolutely disgusting.

Toothless mini-dolphin: a case study in evolution

Toothless mini-dolphin: a case study in evolution. A life restoration of Inermorostrum xenops dolphins. (Royal Society/College of Charleston/AFP / Dr.

Scientists on Wednesday unveiled an extinct species of toothless, whiskered and objectively cute mini-dolphin that plied Earths oceans some 30 million years ago.

With only a fossilised cranium -- found in a river near Charleston, South Carolina -- to work with, the researchers were able to reconstruct the snub-nosed mammals evolutionary saga, describe its facial features and figure out what it snacked on.

Just over a metre (three feet) from snout to tail, Inermorostrum xenops was half the size of the common bottlenose dolphin.

Ironically, the pint-size Flipper was an early offshoot from one of the two main groupings of cetaceans called Odontoceti, or toothed whale, that includes sperm whales and orca.

This group also developed a radar-like capacity to navigate and detect objects by emitting sounds, called echolocation.

The other branch, baleen whales, are filter feeders that strain huge volumes of ocean water to net tiny, shrimp-like krill or plankton -- think humpback or the gargantuan blue. Inermorostrum took only four million years to evolve from ancestral whales with precisely occluding teeth -- matching top and bottom -- into a toothless, suction feeding specialist, explained Robert Boessenecker, a professor at the College of Charleston and lead author of a study in the British Royal Society journal Proceedings B.

During those four million years -- a brief interlude on the evolutionary clock -- I. xenops lost its pearly whites, saw its snout and mouth shrink and developed super muscular lips.

This last feature is perhaps the most critical, said Boessenecker, who deduced the dolphins powerful smackers from a series of deep artery channels clearly designed to nourish extensive soft tissue.

Short snouts typically occur in Odontoceti that are adept at suction feeding -- the smaller the oral opening, the greater the suction, he said in a statement.

xenops diet would have consisted exclusively of small fish, squid and other soft-bodied creatures. Because its nose was bent downward, the researchers suspect it prowled the ocean floor in search of prey.

The dwarf dolphins were not the only toothed whales undergoing rapid evolution at that time. During the Oligocene age, 25 to 35 million years ago, other echolocating cetaceans developed long, toothy snouts specialised in catching fish.

The researchers also found that both short and long snouts evolved independently numerous times, suggesting that natural selection is not an arbitrary process.

Some dolphins, such as the modern bottlenose, settled on a happy medium between the extremes, the optimum length as it permits both fish catching and suction feeding, Boessenecker added.
