Jeep Wrangler 2018 REVEALED in pictures - First look at the new car

The new Jeep Wrangler 2018 has been revealed in pictures ahead of its launch.   Official pictures released by Jeep reveal the Wrangler's updated design.

  These images were shown as the SEMA show in Las Vegas as part of a presentation by Mopar - FCA Group part's arm.

  Jeep has stuck largely to the formula with the Wrangler's design, with it largely resembling the previous generation.

  There are some subtle updates around the highlights, grille and indicator cluster but it is much of the same from the car manufacturer.

Technical details about the car are yet to be revealed but it is expected to be powered by a choice of petrol and diesel engines.

  Additionally, four wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission are likely to be available for the car.   What has been confirmed about the new Jeep is that there will be over 200 accessories to go with it, available from MOPAR.

  These range from a fold down seat with cupholders in it to the usual off-roading paraphernalia such as racks and off-road lights.

Here's what Jeep said about the new Wrangler in its news release: "The most capable SUV ever delivers even more legendary Jeep 4x4 capability, a modern design that stays true to the original, advanced fuel-efficient powertrains, more open-air options, and is loaded with more safety features and advanced technology than ever before.

"The all-new Wrangler's unique design includes an instantly recognisable keystone-shaped grille, iconic round headlamps and square tail lamps, improved aerodynamics, a convenient fold-down windscreen for off-road purists, even more open-air freedom, and dozens of different door, top and windscreen combinations." The car's specs and price are expected to be confirmed when the car launches at the end of this month.  It will make its public debut on 29 November at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
