here at the 2017 SEMA show the convention center is full of very cool

concept vehicles but this one I think is our favorite this is the zr2 AEV concept

vehicle and if you don't know who american expedition vehicles is you need

to know who they are they make very cool backcountry exploring vehicles mostly

with Jeep and Ram but now they've created this concept with a 2018 Chevy

Colorado zr2 but they've put their own tweaks on it they've heavy-duty eyes the

suspension both in front and back they've retuned the DSS V shocks and

they've skid plated from nose to tail with heavy duty armor to protect

everything underneath we really like the heavy-duty bumpers here and in back

we've got two big shackles for tow straps but inside the bed is where the

magic happens this vehicle is set up for exploration it's got a custom utility

rack with storage bins and an awning as well as some mat tracks in case you get

buried in the sand also a hi-lift jack if you have to change any tires and also

it's got a refrigerator and freezer from ARB full-size spare and also water and

fuel

and if you need even more water this very cool panel on the side of this

concept vehicle offers water an air compressor and also any electrical

charging you might need for right now this is obviously a concept vehicle but

given the fact that there are so many details on this truck that a lot of

people especially off-roaders would love to have we would like to see this come

to fruition be built at least these parts whether it's GM accessories or

maybe a new catalog at AEV that would be fantastic for now if you want to know

2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Performance Concept - Duration: 1:56.

for quite a few years now Chevy has been using the SEMA Show as a kind of testbed

for their future special editions this one they should make this is called the

Silverado performance concept vehicle and what's a concept because there are

aspects about this truck that don't exist on any vehicle you can buy right

now but a lot of the parts and pieces on this truck can be bought at a GM

accessory dealership but the most important and coolest detail here is

this supercharger this is the 5 3 liter v8 with a supercharger on top that adds

another probably 100 horsepower but cold air induction six piston Brembo brakes

new discs and a lot of other features here you can buy at any GM accessory

dealer another aspect that makes this a concept is this is a unique color satin

steel it's called also these black out 22 inch wheels might be something you

can buy in the future but you can't get right now and if you notice this vehicle

has been leveled and lowered just a little bit to make it a better street

performer from how difficult it's been to keep people away while we're trying

to do this video it seems like this particular concept is attracting a lot

of attention we think that they should definitely make this a special edition

package maybe next year or the year after with the blower with the lowered

suspension kit and that would make this an amazing street performer and if you
