hi, today I'll introduce the Volvo FH13 500 truck to you

so this is a Volvo 500

the predecessor is the FH12

which was manufactured with a 12L engine

and then

the FH13 is offered with a 13L engine

and there is also an FH16 with a 16L engine

we may run into the Globetrotter text on the cabin

let's see the inner size of the cabin

so I am 194cm high

and

the inner height of this cabin is 211cm

measured from the motor tent

the smaller cabin is 196cm high

so it is surprisingly high

we have enough space

I think it is really spacious

lets see the packing management of the cabin

this is a really good spot for your elbow

if this space wasn't here, I don't know how the cabin would look like

maybe stupid, maybe not

however I'm kind of mad at Volvo

because in most trucks, this is the main cabinet

which was removed from there

but

atleast this cabin has a negativity now

otherwise, this is kind of good, because

ultimately

you can rest your elbow here, but

let's see the cabinets

there are no doors, but these blinds

after I said all those bad things about the Mercedes

everything is working as intended

no noise, no rattling

plastic

this was a lot better

a smaller box is found here

in most trucks this is used as a folder, I mean someone

the dinner set is being stored here by the colleague

I could imagine bigger cabinets, but

the truck is liveable atleast a bit more

these are speparated

so we have 3 cabinets

there are trucks where this works manually, but in this

it can be handled by electricity

it can be tilted

it can't be tilted too much

and there is this disadvantage of the truck

which is

the cabin has this ramp

if it's raining and you left it opened, the water is gonna pour in

I was curious if there is something that leads the water

nope

let's see the dimensions of the bed

it's 190cm long

and 955mm wide

and

it's too soft for me

I like it if the bed is firm, because of my waist, I recommend this for someone with bad waist

but, well... for me it is a bit soft

a bin can be found back here, with a 24V socket

and on both sides there is this

which can also be found in the middle

with a controller, you can control the lights, the volume of the truck

two big a** speakers are also installed back here

there is a lever on the right side of the bed, if pulled, it opens up the bed

and there are several bins in different sizes

with a fridge of course

these bins can be accessed from both inside and outside

this bin is really spacious

the fridge is on the left side

in which a freezer is also found

and a cooler side too

which can be set here, on the right side

and also there is a box on the left side

that is also accessible by hand and outside

and where else would we put our bottles?

we have this tiny holder

which can hold up to a 1,5L bottle

next to the driver seat there is a hammer

you can smash the emergency exit, the sunroof with it

the steering wheel can be tilted to a 20° degree

there is a pedal by our left foot, if you press it all the way

then you can set it wherever you want it to be

there is nothing new in this

if you just barely press it, you can hear this click

then you can tilt it

in front we have this blind

you can pull it down

and with this button you can put it back to its place

and you can find this on the side too

let's talk about the mirrors

we have a whole window, it's not separated

and

from the outisde it looks stylish, but how tough is it?

there is the mirror itself

it has this slimmer plastic coating

if you hit something with this..

you shouldn't hit anything, ever

and there is this outer border

which is also plastic, so..

it is stylish indeed, but it looks weak from close, but

I really like that you can set the brightness

now let's see the dashboard

we find this rubber plate here

and you might think, that it is fixed, but nope

basically, a non-slipping rubber

this small is an ashtray

or a coin holder for non-smokers

let me tell some critics, not to the Volvo, Mercedes or MAN

I don't even know what devices are out there

and the cables of all those devices are hanging here

a few drivers do some cable management to get 12/24V up here, with a single cable, but

but at the end of the day, you end up with a pile of cables

how easy would it be after we don't have a uniform motorway toll system

yet

let us plug it in here, so the cables fit there

let's see the holders in the middle

we find this tiny cabinet here
