Going to show you how to do the clutch initialization process

on the 2018 Goldwing with the DCT transmission.

First step is to make sure the engine oil temperature is at normal operating range.

Take the bike for a five or ten minute ride.

Once you've done that, place it on the center stand.

Then you'll need to depress the D while you simultaneously turn the ignition on.

Once the engine light has gone off. You can release the D.

Now we need to go through the sequence of

D twice, N, D, N

That will take the bike into the process.

The TOUR has gone away and the gear position indicator begins to flash.

Once that happens, start the motorcycle

and you can hear the transmission is now going through operations.

This process can take anywhere from three to five minutes.

Once the process is done

the flashing will go away and

it will come back up and show TOUR on the dash

and that will indicate that the process is complete.

Also, if you look at the rear wheel you may notice that it's rotating.

You can stop that by simply applying the parking brake.

Process is complete.
