Hey guys, today I'm here with the DV8 Inner Fender Liners fitting all 2007 to 2018 JK

Wranglers.

This is gonna be a perfect solution to replacing those factory plastic inner fender liners

with something that will hold up.

These metal inner fender liners will be a lot more durable than the plastic and keep

your engine bay and your rear wheel wells protected from any dirt or debris or rocks

kicking up on the road or even on the trail.

So at the moment for the front or the rear, they are gonna be $230 right around separately

and if you want all four, it will be about double that.

So with the functionality and with the very aggressive off-road look that you're getting

with these, I think that the price is fair.

Install is gonna be a two-out-of-three wrenches on the difficulty meter because there is a

little bit of drilling to get those rear inner fender flares in, however, it's nothing that

you can't do in your driveway in a couple of hours.

So obviously, the JK that we're working on does not have stock inner fender liners but

I still wanted to show you guys, side by side, the differences between our new inner fender

guards and a stock one, so I pulled it off of one of our other JKs.

So right off the bat, you can tell that it is a little bit smaller but it is gonna be

a lot more rigid and provide you more protection than this plastic inner fender liner.

This is made of a 1/16-inch aluminum with a black powder coat finish so it's gonna be

able to hold its own while it's on the trail while rocks and debris are kicking up at it,

and it's gonna be scratch resistant and resist any rusting or corrosion.

You're also getting a very off-road look with these liners compared to your plain old stock

liners, especially with the DV8 symbol on the back, as well as the vent up front.

Speaking of the vent up front, I know that I don't have it right here in front of me,

but that is gonna help out with the notorious JK heat soak.

So that's gonna extract a bunch of heat keeping you cooler on the trail for longer periods

of time.

So enough with our stock inner fender liner, let's get our new ones installed.

The tools that we used for this install are an impact wrench, a drill, the provided Allen

key, a center punch, a drill bit small enough for a pilot hole, a 5/16-inch socket, and

a 10-millimeter socket.

So obviously, we don't have our stock inner fender liner in here, but all you have to

do is remove a couple of pop clips and it should pull right out.

So now we can install our DV8 inner fender liner with the DV8 symbol facing the rear

bumper and the smaller portion, it looks like it's a little tapered, towards the front of

the Jeep.

So you might have to bend it and manipulate it to get it into place.

So now that our rear inner fender guard is in place, we can mark and drill our pilot

holes for all of our self-tapping hardware.

So DV8 does not provide the hardware.

You may have to outsource to get self-tapping hardware because that is most likely gonna

be the best way to secure these inner fender liners down.

So I'm just using a center punch.

You can use a maker, but I'm gonna hold the inner fender liner up where I want it and

then punch our holes.

So after I marked all of my holes, I'm just gonna keep the inner fender liner in place

and drill a pilot hole through the marked hole here.

So on the driver's side, I would be very, very careful or not even put a self-tapping

screw or drill here because the filler neck to the gas tank and all of your fuel lines

are behind this wheel well here.

So on the passenger's side, you're okay.

So I'm gonna go ahead and start my drilling.

So to keep the inner fender liner in place while I drill the rest of my holes, I'm just

gonna put a self-tapping screw here to secure it down.

So I'm just using a standard self-tapping screw and a 5/16-inch socket to secure that

down.

So now you can repeat the process on the other side.

So now we're ready to install our front inner fender liners.

So these front inner fender liners come in three pieces, you have the back solid portion

and then you also have the front portion with the DV8 vent in it which is also removable

so you can customize it to whatever color to match your Jeep.

So we're gonna first install our solid portion and we're gonna line it up with the last bolt

hole here on the inner fender well.

So we're are gonna use the stock hardware, which would be the 10-millimeter bolts that

we have to remove to get the inner fender liner out.

We will not be reusing the pop clips.

Now we can insert our nut plate to secure down this rear bolt here.

So it is gonna be oriented with the teeth facing the rear of the Jeep.

And since this is hanging here, we can slide the nut plate behind and secure it down with

our provided hardware, then we can tighten that down with our provided Allen key.

So once that's on there, we can now orient this behind this panel here and we can tighten

down the provided hardware fully.

So after the nut plate is in place, we can tighten down our factory 10-millimeter bolt.

So now we can insert our front portion into the two rivets here.

You are gonna have to go around the spring perch in the back to line everything up.

So with our JK here, we have TeraFlex SpeedBump stops.

So this is gonna prevent these two fins here from going around the top of the spring perch.

You won't have this issue if you do not have a bump stop that has a cup on top of it.

So what we're gonna do is we're just gonna bend these two back to basically make it fit.

I'm gonna start by securing it down to the solid inner fender part with the provided

hardware in the riv nut.

So after that is loosely secured, we can take our factory three 10-millimeter bolts and

secure it down the rest of the way.

So after the three factory bolts are tightened down, we can take our provided Allen key and

tighten our provided hardware.

And now you can repeat the process on the other side.

So that's gonna wrap it up for my review and install.
