Hey friends

This is milan.

I am Larissa

This is another weird intro for my vlog, but.. we're going on a trip

So we're going to make a vlog. Where are we going Milan?

Uhm.. To Neverland

No.. that's not it. But we ARE going to Center parcs

In the Eifel, in Germany

We're going there for a long weekend now, and I haven't made a vlog in a very long time, cause I don't have an exciting life anymore

and i don't know how I used to do it, but I used to make so many vlogs

But not anymore. But now we're going on a trip, so I thought it's time to make a nice vlog

So that's what I'm going to do. There's also a pool, I don't believe it's very big, but I also brought my GoPro

And it's so fking hot, I believe today is the hottest day of the year, right?

Yes, of the last three years

from the last three years! It's 36,5 degrees right now

So we're just going to see how we're going to survive in the little house there

but we brought a fan. No ice cream tho..

Shit no ice cream..

but hey we can buy those there

so that's what we're going to do this weekend, and we're going to take you with us, and I hope you're gonna like this vlog

We arrived

Right Milan

Oh really?

Yes. Yes. swimming tickets!

This is our house! 146

46

Then open it

Oh yes wait I have the keys

I can't do this. You can do it

butterfly!

You walk imediately into the kitchen

Kitchen! and the bathroom

is it nice?

It is nice

Oh really nice

So cozy

I think the TV is as big as my laptop, so we can better just watch movies on my laptop

There's even a mirror here!

What are you doing?

warming this place up a bit

Why..?

Uhh bitch it's fking cold in here

Yea sure

Do you want something to drink with that?

yes

Look we got the fan over there

and i'm so glad we brought it

cause it's super chill, otherwise it would have been so hot

We also just made the beds

You can also gamble with money over there I believe

Oh I want that!

Can I..?

Ohh.. coin dozer?!

Oh my god an arcade

Do they have coin dozer here?

The pool is over there

Milan, why don't they sell funko pops here?

That's a must

So Milan, time to swim?

Uhm.. yea.. I mean..

The dome isn't very big, a little cozy, but also really hot rght now of course

There is a playground over here that looks like a circus tho, so we can sing The greatest showman here tonight

HAVE to

HAVE to, yes that

but we were actually looking for a super market

because we have to buy dish soap, cause we didn't get that, and normally you get that with the house, right?

Yes normally you should

We're such idiots, cause the super market is just right there, next to us

There are just signs everywhere that say 'super market'

We're so blind

Oh they also have barbecues here

I got 8 GB left this month

but because this park is too stupid to give me a connection, we have to buy WiFi now..

We were barbecuing..

and then it was on fire

But that'll be allright, we haven't started yet

but Milan said 'hey larissa, why don't you put this fruit in a bowl, so you also do something in your life for once'

and then 3 seconds later I said 'Milan how do I open this can??'

Well it's impossible

risking my life for a can of fruit

yea that

I'm pretty good sometimes

Oh oh, the meat is dying

one is burnt already

Yes maybe two

Today is the eclipse guys

but we can't find the moon

a ittle shitty

but it should be red

I'm so happy we brought this fan, cause damn..

it's a lot cooler here right now

So nice

I broke my arm

You shouldn't do that

Still doing it

Yea guys

That was. um.. why are you putting on your sheet?

You really think I want to film you?

You're not worth my camera

But anyway, that was the first day

Oh now you're still on the camera, shit

but that was the first day

Naked people!

ew!

but I haven't filmed that much

We just went to a playground and drank beer there

but like..

a little creepy, cause we were sitting there

and everything was squeaking

and we were those creepy children who were just sitting there.. in the middle of the night

and we kept hearing cows, and they were pretty creepy

you gotta admit that

but they are over there, rigth?

No the cows are over there!

Milan thinks the sound comes from over there while it comes obviously from over there

Why would those cows be at the pool? they're obviously in the mountains

Wait what

Yes

so you're saying there are no mountains over there?

There are cottages and a pool

That's true

but we will look for the cows another time, and see who's right

but for now, this was day one, and I'll see you tomorrow

Bye

are you gonna start the vlog?

The vlog already started

Oh, then I'll turn this off, otherwise you'll get copyright strikes

That's true

and we don't want copyright strikes

Hi guys, this is a new day

and we're gonna have breakfast

but actually we're waiting for the eggs

Milan your hair looks wonderfull

I know

Today we're going to swim

for the rest we don't really know what else we're going to do, or do we?

to sleep

sleeping and swimming

That's basically this holiday

at the same time

then you'll drown

Okay

So yea we're going to eat now and then we'll go swimming

I'll bring my GoPro and see if I'm already going to film something

Otherwise I'll do that tomorrow, but I'm excited to go swimming

I believe the pool isn't very big, but I think it's fun, so yea

That's what we're going to do

We're going to swim!

Excited!

Milan

Yes

Don't you notice that I'm constantly calling your name, so you can say something, just beause I don't know anything to say anymore

Um no I didn't notice

but if you want me to say something, I'll do it

Then say something

Penguins can never fall on their belly, cause their balance always falls to the back

Wow

Don't know if that's true tho

I don't know

Hear how nice

here

Milan

yea

I want pizza

yes

Okay I hope we can get pizza here

but we're going to eat

we really wanted that pizza

wasps

so we forgot to film the pizza

Uh, I can still show it tho

but there's not much left

we wanted to eat ice cream in the dome

and then we were sitting there, and there was no more ice cream

What are we gonna do Milan

Uhm..

sleeping?

I just fell asleep, so that's possible

and we wanted to buy badminton rackets for the badminton court

and then they were sold out

and now I'm sad, cause I like badminton, and I'm really good at it, and I wanted to own Milan

but yea.. shit man

You don't need much to do that

Yea that's true

Now I'm sitting here, being sad, because I have no ice cream

that's sad right?

That's so sad

so then I'll just go drinking beer

and now we don't really know what to do, and Milan doesn't feel very well

So now we're going to chill in bed and watch some Once upon a time

But that was our second day here

Tomorrow another day, and then we have to leave the cottage on monday

but then we'll probably go to another place near here

So that are the things we're going to do

I have no idea yet if this is going to be one big vlog or two seperate vlogs, but I'll see that when I'm editing

anyway, this was day 2

did you like this, then please leave a like,

subscribe, and then that was it

Bye

a mini backpack tour! (fjallraven kanken) - Duration: 5:09.

what's up guys today I'm gonna be showing you what is in my backpack okay

so to start off I have this backpack I'm not being chopped nuts the name I mean I

might as well default arriving cat in the fall Draven Kankan fall Draven can't

gain Falls you fugly with can't get backpack I have it in this blue color I

forgot what is called but this is the mini one for some reason it looks really

big right now but it's really small this is the mini and I use this backpack as

my camera bag it stretches really well and I can honestly probably use this how

the school backpack seems I'm not gonna be using notebooks next year so usually

be showing you guys what is in my camera bag which is this so I'm just going to

unsnap the top and it like stretches out and I'm actually going to show you what

is in the front pocket first okay so in the front pocket I have this lens thingy

where so when you open it up aha like an SD card in it usually I have my other SD

cards but I'm currently using them so I don't have it with me this is just a

good way to protect them and if you don't this is this is like the thing

about goes on like your camera when you don't have the lens on it so not only is

it my SD card holder but it's also what I use when I don't have the lens on my

camera the next thing that I have that front pocket is this yellow thing and

what this is is the thing that goes on a battery pack when you when you first get

it and I'm also using this one currently so there's no battery in it bias use

that to protect my batteries and this is the battery for my Canon ATD so I have

two batteries for that so I'd appreciate on this one but in the side pocket yeah

on this I park I have my Canon Ormeau it's like just a one button remote that

I used to focus my camera which I don't need to do anymore so my camera now is

autofocus but that's what I use and now I'm going to be opening up the Big Boy

where everything is the Department and she is not organized also

this is the backpack that I bring on all my photo shoots when I take photos

people and it holds everything so I really like it but the first thing I

have which is kind of obvious is I have my camera which is the Canon a TD and I

currently have the Canon 24 millimeter lens on it right now and I just have

that in my backpack and I also have my Sigma 30 millimeter lens which is my

little baby my holy grail I love her the next thing that I have is this prism

so you open it up and it looks like this and you might be wondering why I have

this but it's for my photography cuz it gives you those really cool ooh

it gives you those really cool effects so then you put it in front of the lens

it just gives you those cool effects I couldn't make a transition with it like

yeah next I have a little tripod head for my tripod yeah my tripod doesn't fit

this backpack but and then I have my battery charger for the batteries I

showed you and then I have the battery charger for my canon g7x which the

battery is very small I have the charger for that and then I also have my air

pods because not only is this my camera backpack but it's also my gym bag pack

so I just have my air pod so in case I want to listen to music I don't have

anything in the top compartment usually I have a gum or something but today I

don't and this is like really weird but I have my brother's car key like a spare

one just because he always parks really close to me and I had to move his car a

few days ago since I have to like back out around his car so I have his car

keys with me and I forgot to put it back so I'm just holding his car keys and

then the last thing that I have in my backpack is just my YMCA card biz that's

where I go to work out it's a really great place and yeah so that is all

that's in my backpack I really hope you guys enjoyed this video and if you have

a fall drive and fall driving kånken Konkan mahal drove and can't get about

Konkan backpack let me know but I mean pretty much everyone has these

but hey they're really nice quality I recommend them so yeah if you guys liked

this video be sure to give it a thumbs up comment down below and subscribe is

that upload three times a week Sunday Wednesday and Saturday so I will see you

guys on Saturday with a really funny video by the way it's gonna be so good

I'm very excited so stay tuned

A look inside the handpan maker's workshop (mini-documentary) - Duration: 8:47.

Hi and welcome to another video about handpans.

My name is Sylvain Paslier, I've been playing handpans for over 10 years and I'm really

passionate about this art-form.

Recently, I had the incredible pleasure to visit Sean Beever of Symphonic Steel.

Sean is working on something really special that I want to tell you about.

So, check it out.

So, Sean, we are here in your workshop.

This is where the Iskra is made.

Your company is Symphonic Steel, you just gave us a tour.

One of the questions that I wanted to ask you is: people will hear the sound of the

Hang, the original Hang, and they will feel like it sounds different from other handpans.

It is my understanding that with the Iskra, you've re-created that original sound.

What was your motive behind that and how do you actually achieve that original sound?

The motive, number one, is that it really wasn't offered anymore.

There's a lot of handpans out there and it's almost gotten generic, not necessarily unique.

And there's still people out there that want an instrument that's like the Hang.

And, I mean, I love the sound of the Hang.

Of course, I build steel-pan and stuff like that, so I'm used to unique timbre.

And the Hang has that unique timbre, that's distinctly different than, basically, all

the handpans you can buy nowadays.

So, that's kind of why I wanted to go back to it.

Since PANArt has since basically moved on from the Hang, I figured I would sort of maybe

take some of their ideas and stuff that they released on building the instrument, make

a few little changes here and there tuning-wise to give it my own little flavor, but ultimately

I wanted to get that timbre because I feel it's important.

It's really what kind of caused the big interest in the instrument.

It was the Hang that really started it all.

So, how do you actually get that sound?

So, it comes down to several factors.

Number one, a proper heat treatment of the proper steel.

And then beyond that, it's primarily building a tuning method so there are basically some

things that I don't do that a lot of handpan makers do do as far as hammer shaping.

It's really ultimately about note structure.

And the tuning style is vastly different than a typical steel-pan tuning technique that

a lot of handpan makers use nowadays.

So, we're in this space.

Obviously, you're here in this workshop day in and day out.

What's a typical week looking like for you?

Let's see.

So a typical week...

I'll do various parts of the process on any given day, generally.

Most recently, over the last week, my employee and myself have been basically just making

more shells.

Every couple of months, I need more shells to build the instruments out of.

So, they start from flat sheets of steel that we cut out before they go into my hydroforming

machine, they get hydroformed.

That's using around 80 tons of force.

You don't have to do the math.

So we hydroform them.

That's what I've been doing this last week.

But on a typical week, I'll generally go through the entire process, from start to finish.

But basically, it's lots of hammering.

And lots of tuning.

That's awesome.

What do you do when you're not hammering steel? I see a huge banner on the wall.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of hockey.

I play a lot of hockey, generally, from 3 to 5 times a week.

It keeps me active, and on hot summer days like this it's nice to go into an ice rink

as well.

And you're playing tonight, right?

I am playing tonight, yes.

Do I understand we might see how a handpan is made?

Yeah, I think we can go build one.

See, literally, it's funny I've never written any of these down.

You'd think I would have over time.

It's all in the head.

It goes in, I line it up with my dot that's in the center.

Alright, so we've got our ding.

We've got all of our dimples pressed.

It's going to go in the kiln.

Does it sound like anything?

That's crazy!

So is there any sound on these notes or not yet?

No, if we were to play it, we'll do in the inside so we don't get any fingerprints on it.

So it's rough-tuned.

The next step would be glueing.

After the glue is sufficiently cured, there will be one round of fine-tuning and it's

going to sit for a week or so.

And then, I'll do another round of fine-tuning because it will drift in that time of a week,

as far as tuning is concerned.

Generally, it's going to go sharp.

And then, so I give it another fine-tuning and give it another week of rest.

And then, at that point, we basically see if it's stable.

Thank you for watching this video.

I hope you enjoyed the interactions with Sean who was so generous with his time, showing

us around the workshop.

I personally picked up my Iskra handpan, and it's one of the finest instruments I've ever played.

If Sean's intentional handpan-making approach resonates with you, check out his website

and I'll put a link in the description.

I'm going to be releasing a lot of videos about this new Iskra.

So be sure to subscribe if you want to stay tuned and hear that.

Finally, I'm going to wrap up this video with a clip of my brand new Iskra handpan.

NADTC Accessible Pedestrian Pathways Mini-Course Overview - Duration: 4:37.

Welcome to the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center Accessible Pedestrian

Pathways mini course overview.

My name is Rachel Beyerle and I'm communications director at NADTC.

The course opens with registration on August 1st and ends on September 14

2018 when final assignments are due.

The accessible pedestrian mini course is designed to increase your knowledge and awareness of the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements and features

the rise of the walkability movement in the United States,

technology and its role in pedestrian facilities,

federal programs and initiatives as well as local projects and promising practices. As

part of the course you'll listen to three short webinars on

accessibility features,

national initiatives, and local projects. There will be a quiz after each webinar.

All participants will be asked to complete and submit a walking assessment.

This is an activity you can do on your own or with others and you get to define the geographic area that you're assessing

whether that be a block,

your whole neighborhood or your community at large.

We'll provide a checklist that you can use and

finally, you will complete an assignment related to one of the following. It'll be your choice of one of these:

development of a policy statement,

identification of a pedestrian improvement project,

establishment or at least a plan to establish a pedestrian Advisory Committee or group, or

planning a full-scale community walking assessment.

The course will be six weeks long and will begin with our Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility overview.

Then we'll move on to the rise of the walkability movement in the United States. We'll take a look at technology,

National initiatives, local projects and promising practices, and then finally you'll have the last week to work on your final assignment.

As I mentioned, each participant will be asked to conduct and submit an assessment of their local area of choice.

You can use the neighborhood wayfinding assessment checklist that we have available at nadtc.org. You can record signs

or signage, lights, whether there are comfort features such as benches available, the general conditions physical conditions of the walkways,

intersection features such as whether there are audible pedestrian signals or painted crosswalks, and

general accessibility features such as curb ramps or tactile warnings.

In addition to assessing what you're seeing , we hope you'll also take the opportunity to think about what changes you'd recommend in your local area.

You'll have your choice of final assignment. We're asking you submit a two to five page document.

For one of the following you can develop a pedestrian-related policy recommendation, identify and describe a pedestrian improvement project,

develop an implementation plan for establishing a pedestrian Advisory Group, or

you can write a plan and an event schedule for a community group walking assessment.

We will offer resources along the way. Some of the websites

for national organizations and federal agencies that we recommend include America Walks, the National Complete Streets

Coalition, the Federal Highway Administration, ITE, and our own website at www.nadtc.org.

If you're ready to register for the course, all you have to do is visit nadtc.org.

Complete the registration form and you'll receive an email confirmation from NADTC staff.

That'll include instructions and a link to the course website where you can download materials, take the quizzes,

listen to the webinars,,and submit your walking assessment results, and final assignment, If

you have questions along the way feel free to contact me Rachel Beyerle.

I'm at rbeyerle@easterseals.com

or you can reach me by phone at 202-347-3066.

We look forward to your participation in the accessible pedestrian pathways online mini course. In the meantime

please be sure to follow us on social media. We're on Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, and YouTube.

Or you can also subscribe to our NADTC newsletter by going to nadtc.org.
