Auto news on Youtube Apr 23 2018

Well, Bart is here!

Hello Bart! Hi guys!

Where are we going?

We are heading to Centro Porsche Bari

For a little surprise...Little!

Being here at sunrise is epic!

Not bad!

Not bad at all!

Are we going up the Muraglia?

Yes, well...

We'll go through there

Maybe you remember our video about the 2017 Ferrari Cavalcade

In some scenes we are on the Muraglia

We filmed the cars driving around the Muraglia, going to Piazza Ferrarese

The Porsches will do a very similar route!

Ok, sorry, continue

I was saying, when they arrive in Piazza Ferrarese

They will reach the Mini GP di Bari, with all the little gentlemen drivers

Then, in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, a street near Piazza Ferrarese

All these Porsches and many other sportscars will be displayed

Many classic cars from the Old Cars Club Bari

5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

We still didnt' explain why we're here today

Unicef and Old Cars Club organized this wonderful event

Inspired by the GP of Bari, the revival racing event held here in Bari every two years

But today the drivers are children with tiny pedal cars

I'm very jealous, even more than I am of the Porsche's owners down there

There's this little racetrack in Piazza Ferrarese, with famous corners such as the Monaco Tabac corner

There are two '40s F1 cars displayed, too

And in a moment I'll bring you with me, to take a look at the cars that drove down from the Muraglia

They are displayed in the beautiful Corso Vittorio Emanuele

Well, the cars have been parked right here

The Mini GP has finally started

But we are going to take a look at the supercars right here

Let's start with the millions of cars brought here by Centro Porsche Bari and Porsche Club Puglia

Many limited editions!

Hybrid cars, such as the Panamera Hybrid and the amazing 918 Spyder

And right here there are some track focused monsters

Not one but two 991 GT3 RS!

Lava Orange and Grey

Down there there's the 991.2 GT3

Turbo S, Cayman GT4, there's everything!

Believe me, there are hundreds of cars here!

Many classic Porsches, there's also a 911 Endurance Racing Edition, 1 of 18 in Italy

An incredible white Cayman GT4

Such a spectacular lineup

From this side there are classic bikes and some classic Alfas!

Spider, Duetto, Giulia

This event is pretty packed!

Let's see some more cars!

From this side there are more classic cars

This amazing blue Giulia Scalino from the '60s

A glorious Jaguar XJ

More Alfas here, a couple of recent Spiders

And down there

A Giulia, another Giulia, another one

Before we saw hundreds of Porsches

From this side we have hundreds of classic Italian cars!

In the end there are some Lancia Fulvias

Then there are an Alfa 75 and an Alfetta

This event is full of rare classic cars!

Now it's time to take a look at the ones closed to the public

I promised it, so here we go!

There are some jewels! Modern ones and classic ones!

We just filmed a focus about this Porsche 918 Spyder

Go check it out, link in the description!

Many interesting Porsches

One of the first Porsches from the '60s

In a fabolous Canary Yellow

Then there's an old friend of us

The Panamera Sport Turismo 4 E-Hybrid we drove a couple of weeks ago

Then a similar '60s Porsche, they're almost twins

Again in Canary Yellow, these classic pastel colors are wonderful!

And right here there are non-German classics

Italians: a Lancia Beta Montecarlo with a modified front which reminds me of the 037

A super rare Alfa Romeo Giulia SS

There's a blue predecessor of the Maserati Granturismo: the Merak

And for you, Diabolik fans, there's this jewel

the Jaguar E-Type, a Convertible one this time, with a V8

A British classic

We feel very lucky having access to this zone closed to the public

Because it gave us the occasion to take a better look at the best cars displayed during this event

It has been a wonderful morning!

Convoying at sunrise with the 918 Spyder and the GT3RS

Filming inside the 918 Spyder

Then the beautiful and very noble event held by Unicef and Old Cars Club

A unique experience!

So congratulations to the various organizers of this mega event

Let us know your thoughts about this event in the comments below, give us a like and share it

And stay tuned on our channel, because you'll find the focus video about the 918 Spyder

And the many other videos still to come in the near future!

Mini Maker Faire: Salt Lake City 2018 field trip - Duration: 2:58.

There's so much "making" going on out there.

Today we're taking a field trip to the Salt Lake Mini Maker Faire.

Are you interested in what peaked my interest at the

Salt Lake City Mini Maker Faire this year?

That's coming up, right now!

[Introduction]

Hi! Harley here. Welcome!

It's time again for the highlights from this year's

Mini Maker Faire here in Salt Lake City.

Last year I just kind of walked around and showed a little bit of everything that was

going on at the show.

This year I thought I'd focus more on the highlights of what kind of caught my eye.

But if you're new here, generally we talk about things with a mechanical or technical

bent to them.

Things made out of wood or metal, electronics, sometimes photography or computers.

If that sounds interesting to you, subscribe and hit the bell notification icon and you'll

keep up to date on what's going on.

Like last year, this year's show had many people showing a broad range of really interesting

things.

From sculptures that spit fire...

to hand drawn portraits...

to sewing...

and weaving where they talked about the automation of weaving designs and how that impacted the

early computer industry...

to persistence of vision displays...

and of course 3D printers...

and drones.

One of the things I found really interesting was this paper making setup.

They first made a slurry out of old rags and recycled paper and then they used this homemade

press to make sheets out of it.

And another one was this cool homemade surface grinder made out of square tubing, 3D printed

brackets and and angle grinder.

And then there were these Teletype displays.

One was a pair of model 15s that were connected to an Arduino for control and then the Arduino

was connected to a Raspberry Pi.

This was configured so you could text messages to the Raspberry Pi and it would print out

on the teleprinters.

Really cool stuff!

And across the aisle from them, was a model 33 that was connected to a Linux computer

running a bash shell on a console.

It was really interesting to learn how a motor, some relays, some solenoids and a bunch of

mechanical bits could be configured to send electronic messages across the country.

And it was really interesting the mix of the new and the old technology being used together.

I believe everyone has a God-given creative spark.

Sometimes this manifests through making things with a mechanical or technical bent to them.

If this is you, I hope to inspire, educate and encourage you on your creative endeavors.

Usually this involves various physical media, like wood, metal, electronics, sometimes photography

and computers.

If this sounds interesting to you, subscribe and hit the bell notification icon and I'll

see you again in the next video.

Thanks for joining me on this creative journey we're on.

Until next time, go make something.

Perfection's not required.

Fun is!

This teacher is a pervert.

(Teacher): You know (that word)?

(Students): Yes

He's a pervert and..

his face is so ugly.

He has no money.

So! He has no money, he's ugly, and he's a pervert.

(On the other hand), I'm....

..beautiful

Push up. Up.

My arm is weak, so I can't get away.

Is this good?

Do I look good like this?

No way~

(Students): You're so pretty! *chanting

For people who want to learn Taekwondo,

we have classes.

Many foreigners take our classes

There are a lot.

Are your feet ok?

Are you hurt?

Your heart hurts?!

Why does your heart hurt?

My heart hurts, too.

Okay, let's say goodbye.

Stand up, please.

Thank you~

Mini Dwarf Pony Who Could Barely Walk Finally Gets To Run | The Dodo Comeback Kids S02E05 - Duration: 10:51.

Let's go get you in.

Don't be scared.

No, you gotta stay. - (animal sound)

It'll be okay.

I'll be right up front.

- This is a really important vet appointment

for Pumpkin today.

She is going to have braces molded.

Because of the way Pumpkin was bred,

she ended up being a dwarf pony.

They can have issues.

The family didn't have the resources

to fix her leg.

So they surrendered Pumpkin

and her mother to us.

- Hey! I know, it's scary.

Come on, little girl.

- When I saw her and realized that it was

all four legs that were affected,

I wasn't sure if we were gonna be able to help her.

She was so young, that motherly instinct in me

just wants to take care of her.

We always give them that fighting chance.

No matter how many people tell us,

"You can't fix that," we always try.

I'm the founder of

Twist of Fate Farm and Sanctuary.

We help the animals that nobody else wants.

We show them love.

Give them a place to live out the rest of their lives.

When Pumpkin first arrived here,

I was nervous.

She just seemed so fragile.

- Welcome home.

- But after a day or two,

I came to realize that in Pumpkin's mind,

she's no different than any other baby.

- Feel good?

- Just like this giant ball of fire

in this tiny little body.

It didn't take long for Deacon and I

to fall in love with her.

Deacon is my three-year-old son.

He and Pumpkin have become really good friends.

Deacon loves to brush Pumpkin.

He likes to sit with her.

They just kind of hang out.

- They're both so sweet and innocent,

and I think they just kinda get each other.

And Thea, at first she was like,

"What is this little human

doing to my baby?"

As a mother, I get it.

But now she just kinda watches them.

Deacon wants Pumpkin to go outside and run with him.

To him, there's nothing wrong with Pumpkin.

Deacon believes that she's like

a magical little unicorn.

We keep Pumpkin and her Mom

in a stall.

But our vets thought it would be

the safest thing for her.

I feel like the bad-- like the mean Mom,

and I'm like, "No, you have to stay inside."

She doesn't get to explore. She doesn't get to graze.

It definitely hurts my heart a little bit.

But my hope is that these braces

will help strengthen her legs

to where she can spend more time outside

and enjoy life. And her and Deacon

can actually run around together.

As long as I see Pumpkin having that will to live,

I want to keep fighting for her.

- We're here, Pumpkin. There we go. Okay.

Look.

- How we doing?

- Hey, guys. - Hi.

- How's it going? I'm Derek.

You must be Ashley.

- Hi, Derek. Nice to meet you.

- Hey, and this is the famous Pumpkin.

So, right off the bat,

we're just gonna stabilize all the joints that need it.

- Well, she may need splints on all four.

- Do you think that the braces are gonna help Pumpkin

to become more mobile?

- All four legs on any animal

is very tough.

It's gonna really be about her and her spirit,

and her will to want to move.

And a lot of this is unknown.

So. Take it one day at a time, one step at a time.

- If we can get the right stabilizer,

hopefully Pumpkin will do well.

- Let's start casting, buddy.

Our biggest concern is Pumpkin getting too big

before we can help her.

We want Pumpkin to have a good life.

You know, sometimes that's not possible.

I was nervous that someone might say,

"You know what? This isn't gonna work for her."

That--that didn't happen.

If we can help Pumpkin

be comfortable

to where she can live a long, happy life,

that's huge.

Thea is gonna be so excited to see her again.

This is the first time they've ever been apart.

- There's your Mommy.

Thea is very, very protective of Pumpkin.

She doesn't ever let her out of her sight.

She is a great Mom.

- Told you she'd be back.

We have another miniature pony, Lucy.

Rescued from a neglect case.

So our hope is that once Pumpkin is better,

we can introduce the three of them,

and they can be this little family.

I hope that these braces work

to the point where Pumpkin

can live a somewhat normal life.

I'm hand-sculpting one of Pumpkin's legs.

I can make things that fit really well,

but I can't guarantee they'll accept them.

Pumpkin seems determined to walk.

Actually, she wants to gallop.

So we want to get her to that point.

Derek is coming to put Pumpkin's braces on for the first time.

- Hi, Derek!

- I got all the legs here. - Wow.

- And hopefully Pumpkin takes to 'em.

- I will go get her, then.

She'll be right back.

Might be the last time we have to carry you.

Here she is.

I'm a little bit nervous.

If these braces don't work,

then we have to make another decision.

- Here we go. - You good? -[Whinny]

That would be Pumpkin's Mom, wondering where Pumpkin is.

- I do think Pumpkin realizes that we're trying to help her.

Since day one, we've been working with her legs.

- I never know what they're gonna do.

And this is the first time fitting a dwarf pony

with four leg braces.

So, no one knows what's gonna happen.

Moment of truth.

[Whinny]

- They're a little bit better in the front.

- It's okay.

Come on.

She's close.

There are things that I really have to do back in the shop.

I wish that wasn't the case.

Don't get discouraged.

She seems determined.

She seems like she wants to walk.

So it's on me now, to just kind of redesign these.

- I'm hopeful that Derek can adjust the braces

to make them work better for Pumpkin.

[Crow]

We're gonna refit Pumpkin today.

- Here he is. - Hey, buddy. [Laughter]

These are Pumpkin's legs.

You ready to give this another try?

There are some differences, you know.

- It's almost impossible to collapse with them now.

- Okay. They're going to help her walk.

- I want 'em to. - Let's hope.

- You never know if they're gonna accept 'em or not.

So it's always that unknown feeling

of anxiety that I get.

- She'll miss her, but it's just for a few minutes.

- Come here.

Thanks, buddy. This is great.

I made 'em Pumpkin color.

- Moment of truth, Pumpkin. - Yes.

There you go. You ready?

Okay, here we go.

I got her. There you go.

Let's see if you're up enough on those backs yet.

That's a lot better. All right, buddy.

- Come on, Pumpkin.

Yeah, there we go.

That's what I was hoping. [Laughter] Not easy.

- I don't think she's ever moved that fast before.

- Oh yeah? Okay, good!

I did not expect that at all. - [Laughter] Look at her.

She looks happy.

[Laughter]

- Whoa!

These are the moments I kinda live for.

- Come on, Pumpkin!

- Not bad, buddy. Whoa!

[Laughter]

Wow. It's like the other animals know.

- Everybody's excited today!

- You can see when animals have that will

to want to live, and move.

And she had that. And--

that can make all the difference.

- You can just see how happy she is.

It was like she knew, her legs just felt better.

This was exactly what we hoped for.

- I think she kind of feels free,

and able to be herself, and walk without pain.

I'm just so happy.

- He wants you to make him shoes.

- You want me to make-- I can make you shoes.

Pumpkin's doing really well with braces.

And Pumpkin knows once the braces go on,

she's going outside.

She's gonna have a good time.

Today, we're going to introduce Lucy

to Thea and Pumpkin

to see if they can get along.

- Come meet Lucy!

Pumpkin is very curious.

The introduction actually went really well.

If it continues to go well,

they'll move in together permanently.

And they can become their own little herd.

Since day one, Deacon wants Pumpkin

to run with hem so badly.

And now she actually can.

She's a lot faster, and she explores more.

She's still the same Pumpkin,

but she's happier, and you can tell.

This journey has been a very long one,

but to know that we have made a difference for her,

it's 100 percent worth it.

It's literally why we do what we do,

take these animals that nobody really feels have a chance,

and give them that chance at a good life.

Fairies In Our Room Magic Necklace! A Babyteeth4 Mini Movie - Duration: 12:54.

previously on babyteeth4 which cat do you choose this one you can't choose

me get him Jillian he's changing Shh

Jillian look so hoodwink was all three of the cats I'm stuck in this castle

forever it's their spell on you to keep you from believing I can't really say

hoodwink was it the eagle ones that sent you here I kind of feel sorry for the

little guy but old hood wings must never go if there's a way to reverse the spell

that's keeping you here we'll be back to set you free

Jillian what's that on the ground it's a necklace it's beautiful close your eyes

yourself back in Paco - Jillian what the door is guard it's like the door was

never there do you think it's because daddy was just in here I don't know but

the last time that happened it came right back when he left I guess we

should just wait and see if it comes back maybe it won't come back what do

you mean what if we weren't even meant to go

through that door to begin with that doesn't make any sense why would they

even put the door there remember it wasn't long after the door appeared that

the flashing light started flying around the room but the tree guy told us that

that was a sentry fairy putting a spell of protection around the room I guess so

but that still doesn't mean that we were supposed to go inside the door we had to

go inside to get Paco back Paco that's right we'll ask him what he thinks

hey Paco we have some questions for you yeah make it quick I'm trying to get a

nap here Paco why did you go inside that fairy door it's a secret come on Paco

you can tell us yeah did hoodwink trick you into going through the door hmm

it's kind of embarrassing we won't laugh at you Paco Paco we need to know why

this store appeared why you went inside and if it's ever coming back oh I can't

answer that first question for certain but I have a pretty good idea why did

that door appear Paco obviously someone on the other side needs you for

something that one you called the tree guy said as much to you didn't he

right he said that magic was leaking from their world into ours and that they

needed help but he didn't say what we needed to do perhaps they'll tell you in

time next question why did you go inside that door oh that's the embarrassing

question can we skip it no you're part of our family Paco you can't keep

secrets from us Oh like you're not keeping this whole thing a secret from

your father we tried telling him but he wouldn't

believe us yeah Paco stop dodging the question alright alright that day that

flashing light was flying around the room the fairy century yeah stop

interrupting me anyway I just had to chase it it was irresistible you know

how cats are so you chased it through the fairy doorway I don't know if it

even knew I was chasing it but yes I just ran right after it couldn't help

myself ah my little old kitty still likes to play no you promised you

wouldn't make fun of me Paco I have a question when we were trying to get out

of the Land of Enchantment how did you know that we needed to close her eyes

and let ourselves go to get out hmm funny thing when I chased the ball light

I could see I wasn't gonna fit through that little door

but I was going too fast to stop not even you could fit through that door hey

I'm smaller than you but I'm not very sized anyway I thought I was gonna hit

my head so I closed my eyes and let yourself go yeah that part was easy

cats are naturally very relaxed even when chasing a fairy light or on a rim

so when you open your eyes you were in the land of enchantment

yes but I'm pretty sure I didn't end up in the same part of the woods that you

did I was on the other side of the castle so you think the doorway isn't

always consistent right I'm guessing every time you go through it you'd end

up in the land of enchantment but not always the same place but I don't think

that doors coming back anytime soon so what about hoodwink did you find the

castle or did he find you well he was telling the truth about one thing he

can't leave the castle I went there on my own why did you go into the castle

Paco hmm let's see domesticated cat used to

sleeping on a couch suddenly alone in a forest you figure it out

were you scared me? never you are looking for people you thought the

castle might have people in it bingo it's not that I like people so

much but being a house cat does have its advantages I figured being a castle cat

might be even better even better than here yeah where's your loyalty yeah cats

aren't so much loyal as they are opportunists you know oh I don't believe

you Paco you know you love us yeah I guess the keys what are you gonna make

me say it so when he went inside hoodwink we got you and logged you up actually he

only logged me up later when he thought you would take me away

so what did he do with you first of all let me tell you he knows nothing about

cats even tried giving me a bowl of fruit I don't think he has the slightest

idea what cats like poor Paco did he try to use you for his magic yes but I'm not

sure what he was trying to do what do you mean he took me around to different

parts of the castle I kept saying different incantations near the walls

don't ask me what they meant it wasn't a language I've ever heard before what

parts of the castle what do you mean he was near the walls Joanne do you think

he was listening to the voices in the walls in the castle yeah I wonder if

those are the same voices in the walls that we had here I didn't hear any

voices I think he was looking for something in the castle I mean like I

hid in passageway or a secret door maybe there's a hidden very treasure there you

didn't say anything about a treasure besides what would a marionette want

with some treasure anyway but he's not doing this for himself yeah we're pretty

sure he's working for the evil ones or someone like them well I guess you guys

are gonna have to figure this out for yourselves cuz it's time for me to take

my nap Julie do you think he was looking for that necklace you found I guess he

could have been but it's not like it was hidden very well it was just laying

right outside the castle in the grass if the fairies were in a hurry to leave

and they didn't want a hoodwink to find it they could have just thrown it out

the window I guess so it makes sense if they already knew hoodwink couldn't

leave the castle right so once they threw it out the window

hood we wouldn't be able to get it but if the fairies ended up leaving the

castle anyway why didn't they just take the necklace with them maybe it was too

dangerous for them to keep it with them dangerous what if it was so powerful

that they didn't even want to take it with them

but if that's the case they would have hidden it better I think the fairies put

it there on purpose or they knew we would find it later how could they have

known that Jillian they might not have known it would have

been us at the time but they could have thought it was their only option they

might not have had enough time to think it all through I don't know this is all

just guessing until the door comes back or the fairies tell us what they want us

to do so you think we should just wait right now I'm just having to be back

home and I'm in no hurry for anything else weird to happen

well what about Hoodwink we promised him that we'd be back no we didn't we just

promised that we'd try to find out more I guess so but we need to figure out how

to break the spell keeping him captive and we need to figure out how to get

back to the land of enchantment that's enough assignment for one day

come on we better go get dinner before daddy comes back I guess so

still no fairy door yet still no fairy door if it weren't for this fairy statue

I might have started to think we'd imagined the whole thing maybe we'd be

better off if none of this had happened you can't really mean that Addie why not

fairies a magic wand a talking tree maybe it's just time we start living in

the real world don't forget a talking cat that's true I do let the talking cat

part but Paco isn't even talking as much as he used to

I know this hasn't been easy but we shouldn't give up yet think of poor

hoodwink stuck all alone than that castle I do feel really bad for him but

what more can we do we've got a week without any answers maybe we're not

looking in the right place or should we look Jillian close your eyes and let

yourself go yeah we've tried that like 20 times in the past week nothing

happens anymore hmm do you have an idea how long we've been closing our own eyes

what about this eye how would you close that eye does that cover something like

a locket no it doesn't try covering it up then and either can't sees closed

anything no nothing wait we're not closing our eyes whenever you covered it

ready one two three

anything nope maybe we should just get rid of that thing why would we do that

maybe that necklace is the reason that the door disappear nothing has happened

all week you don't know that for sure we still don't know if that necklace

even belongs to the fairies it could be a bigger plan by the evil ones I'm not

just gonna give up on this Addie I'm not either but I think that necklace is bad

you can't see that and it's right in front of your eyes wait a minute say

that again that necklace is bad no the other part

you can't see it but it's right in front of your eyes

that's a daddy that's how you close this eye in your own eyes at the same time

you're not making any sense Julian close your eyes and let yourself go Julie no

Julian what's happening Julian what's wrong

Jillian are you okay Jillian say something

what happened Jillian they spoke to me

DIY carbon fiber mini ITX case build from scratch - Duration: 9:59.

In this video I'm bending plastic, riveting aluminum and wrapping things in actual carbon

fiber fabric to build a small but very capable AMD Ryzen powered system.

The case is roughly 27 cm long, 21 cm high and 17 cm wide and the design resembles Dan

Case with separate CPU and GPU compartments.

I started from cutting acrylic for CPU and GPU compartments.

Both are the same height, but the one outlining the CPU side is a bit longer as the CPU compartment

needs to be a little larger to make room for the heatsink.

After sanding down the edge a little bit, I marked bending point... sandwiched the acrylic

between two piece of aluminum and used a heat gun to warm and model the material.

After making two bends, I cut off the excess of the acrylic so that both sides are more

or less even and treated the edge with sanding paper.

I repeated exact same steps with the other piece with the only difference being the location

of bending points due to smaller compartment size requirements.

Next, I established motherboard mounting points, and drilled holes for M4 threaded inserts.

Then I marked the outline of the motherboard IO ports at the back, drilled holes in all

four corners, cut the plastic with Dremel and switched to a sanding bit to even out

the edges.

I decided to power the 8 cores Ryzen CPU with a tiny winder that the HDPlex power supply

is.

It's perfect for custom compact builds, but if you would make the case a bit longer, you

could easily find room for an SFX power supply.

I marked the mounting points up front and drilled holes for M3 threaded inserts as M4

screws are too big to go through the mounting holes.

Next, I marked openings for power connector assembly at the back, right above the IO ports.

Drilled two smaller holes on ends for M3 screws and large one in the middle for a rather beefy

power connector.

After that, I established location of the opening for the PCI express riser cable, drilled

holes on each end, cut through plastic with dremel and even out the edges with a smaller

sanding bit.

I made a corresponding cut out in the GPU section of the case, using the exact same

method.

Next, I marked the location of the GPU IO ports and marked two opening for the riser

cable assembly and drilled holes for M4 inserts.

I traced the larger cut out at the back and repeated the drill to make the openinng.

Then, I cut two pieces of square aluminum 15 by 15 mm that will act as dividers between

the CPU and the GPU compartments, ensuring enough space for the PCI express ribbon cable.

I put both pieces of acrylic with the aluminum in between into the vice, drilled holes and

riveted everything together.

To make the construction stronger, I cut four pieces of angled aluminum bar.

Drilled a hole on each side and attached it to the plastic using rivets.

Next, I fixed threaded insert in all mounting points M4 size for the motherboard and the

riser cable assembly, M3 for installing the HDPlex power supply.

To further stabilize the frame, I cut four more pieces of the same angled aluminum and

fixed it with rivets running from the front to the back.

Doing that I covered the power connector assembly openings so I had to drill through the aluminum

and use a file to bring back those installation points.

Then, I cut aluminum pipe to make riser cable and motherboard standoffs.

To fix the GPU IO bracket, I cut a small piece of angled aluminum bar.

Fixed it to the frame with rivets and drilled hole for a bolt to secure the GPU in place.

Right next to the power connector assembly mounting, I drilled a hole for power switch.

After that I moved onto making side panels.

I once again cut two pieces of acrylic and sanded the edges.

I marked bending point and bent both panels 90 degrees.

Then I cut off the excess on each panel.

Next, I put the side panel in place and marked mounting points.

While I was at it, I traced the air intake cut out.

Drilled holes in acrylic, marked drilling point on the aluminum, drilled the holes and

fixed a set of threaded inserts.

I drilled holes in each corner of the air vent and cut the acrylic with Dremel.

I struggled to make a long cut look presentable so I decided to give another method a try.

I used a piece of aluminum to mark a straight-line and proceeded with making a groove along it

using a pocket knife.

When the groove was deep enough, I firmly pressed on the inner piece to break it off.

Then I treated the edge with file.

Somewhat happy with the result I took this approach when extracting acrylic on the GPU

compartment panel.

I drilled holes in all four corners, cut across with dremel and then extracted triangle pieces

using the aforementioned method.

After sending down the edges, I proceeded with wrapping panels with carbon fiber fabric.

It's my first time working with carbon fiber so I figured wrapping will be a good start.

I sanded down the surface with 120 grid sanding paper.

Cleaned the surface with some isopropyl alcohol, mixed 10 grams or resin with 6 grams of hardener

and applied it onto the panel using brush.

I cut a piece of carbon fiber fabric and after waiting two hours, I carefully applied it

onto the panel.

The next day, I cut off the excess using utility knife and nails scissors.

I wasn't happy with how the material didn't make direct contact with the acrylic, especially

along some of the edges... but I hoped that it will look better after applying some resin.

When wrapping the other panel, I used a different method.

It involved another piece of fabric and squeezing everything together ensuring that the carbon

fiber will make good contact on the entire surface of the acrylic.

It worked pretty good... but I didn't read the instructions carefully and the result

was a piece that was looking pretty good except for places where the resin soaked through

the fiber leaving a texture from the other fabric.

I should have use more resin to soak the carbon fiber entirely and have that texture on the

entire panel and then I could sand it down.

When the other panel has dried, it didn't look as good as I was going for... so I made

a decision to put another layer of carbon fiber on both panels.

I sanded down some of the resin... mixed fresh batch and applied it onto the panel.

After waiting 90 or so minutes, off the camera, I carefully applied the second layer of carbon

fiber on both panels.

This time, the results were somewhat acceptable and I painstakingly removed the excess of

the carbon fiber material.

I liked the matt finish of raw carbon fiber so I decided to leave it as is.

I cut two sheets of steel mesh and fixed them using some hot glue.

Then, I drilled through the resin and the panels were ready to install.

I also cut a piece of a finer mesh for the top cover and drilled four holes to fix threaded

inserts to facilitate mounting points.

Even though the frame is barely visible, I still decided to painted it black just to

ease my OCD – two layers of black metal paint finished with two coats of spray paint

did the trick.

With everything ready, I proceeded with final assembly.

I started from threading the PCI Express ribbon cable between the two compartments.

These are two generic el cheapo cables that I've been using many times before...

I eventually had to ditch them, but more on that later.

This PC is built around the AMD Ryzen 1800X CPU graciously provided by the team red.

The processor is powered by a tiny HD Plex power supply that requires a not so tiny power

brick.

The CPU sits on the MSI B350I mini ITX motherboard courtesy of my wallet and it's cooled with

the Noctua cooler.

The motherboard sits on a set of spacers that I made from aluminum pipe and it's secured

with a set of four M4 screws.

For the boot drive, I picked up the cheapest M.2 drive – 120 GB WD Green.

Since I'm not Linus and I don't have multiple 1080 Tis laying around, collecting dust, the

graphics processing is handled by a compact GTX1050 by Zotac.

The case performs pretty much as any other case this size.

When idling it's rather quiet and it doesn't get much louder running Unigine Valley Benchmark.

It gets louder when you stress the CPU.

As for the temps – the GPU is doing quite oh right.

Being not so power hungry, it hits 57 degrees under load.

The CPU sits at a little over 40 degrees when idling but under full load, the temp get high

pretty quick and the CPU starts thermal throttling down to 3.3 GHz.

This is my fault as I misplaced the air vent cut out.

Without the side panel, the temperature doesn't go down, but the CPU is able to turbo boost

to 3.7 GHz.

Oh, and to get these numbers for you, I had to spend additional $85 for a Thermaltake

Premium PCI-ex riser cable as the two generic cables 5 bucks a piece daisy chained were

causing major stability issues.

Without the carbon fiber fabric and the obnoxiously expensive riser, the total cost of materials

used for this build came to around $25, a fraction of what you have to pay for those

high-end small form factor cases.

The carbon fiber kit was additional $20 – it would be much cheaper and easier to wrap it

in vinyl, but I'm glad I went with the real thing – maybe next time, I'll fabricate

a pure carbon fiber case?

Thanks very much for watching and I'll see you in the next one.

Verne Troyer Cause of Death: How Did 'Mini Me' Actor Die?

Verne Troyer, who played the character of "Mini Me" in the Austin Powers franchise, as well as other memorable roles in Hollywood, has died at the age of 49.

What was Verne Troyer's cause of death? How did the actor die? Here's what is known so far:.

TMZ has posted the most detailed account of the circumstances of Troyer's death.

"We'd been told he was on some form of life support since being taken to the hospital earlier this month after cops got a report he was drunk and suicidal, and was treated for possible alcohol poisoning," TMZ alleged.

"He also struggled with alcoholism for years and had been to rehab many times," the entertainment site continued.

Troyer's family has not confirmed that account, and his official cause of death was not released.

However, USA Today noted "The cause of death is still unknown, but the statement hints that it was due to 'his own battles'… The news come weeks after Troyer was hospitalized after an undisclosed medical emergency.".

Troyer's death was announced by his family on his Instagram page on April 21, 2018.

The statement also refers to depression and suicide.

It reads in full:.

It is with great sadness and incredibly heavy hearts to write that Verne passed away today.

Verne was an extremely caring individual.

He wanted to make everyone smile, be happy, and laugh.

Anybody in need, he would help to any extent possible.

Verne hoped he made a positive change with the platform he had and worked towards spreading that message everyday.

He inspired people around the world with his drive, determination, and attitude.

On film & television sets, commercial shoots, at comic-con's & personal appearances, to his own YouTube videos, he was there to show everyone what he was capable of doing.

Even though his stature was small and his parents often wondered if he'd be able to reach up and open doors on his own in his life, he went on to open more doors for himself and others than anyone could have imagined.

He also touched more peoples hearts than he will ever know.

Verne was also a fighter when it came to his own battles.

Over the years he's struggled and won, struggled and won, struggled and fought some more, but unfortunately this time was too much.

During this recent time of adversity he was baptized while surrounded by his family.

The family appreciates that they have this time to grieve privately.

Depression and Suicide are very serious issues.

You never know what kind of battle someone is going through inside.

Be kind to one another.

And always know, it's never too late to reach out to someone for help.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Verne's name to either of his two favorite charities; The Starkey Hearing Foundation and Best Buddies.

On April 3, the page posted a statement that read, "Asking you to keep Verne in your thoughts and prayers.

He's getting the best care possible and is resting comfortably.

Appreciate the support from family, friends, and fans around the world.

We will keep you updated here.".

The Blast reported on that day that Troyer was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold and wrote, "The Los Angeles City Fire Department said the call was for a 'poisoning' but would not confirm it was alcohol-related.

" The site continued, "A 5150 hold (as it is more commonly known) is typically instituted when a patient is deemed to be 'a danger to themselves or others.

At the time of that hospitalization, TMZ reported, "…a friend of Verne's made the call around 7:30 PM, and described him as being extremely upset, drunk and suicidal.

We're told cops and fire department paramedics responded, and Verne was transported to a hospital for possible alcohol poisoning.".

Troyer was raised on a Michigan farm and was born with "achondroplasia dwarfism," TMZ reported.

He stood 2 feet and 8 inches, but he used his big personality to forge a career in Hollywood.

Mike Myers, who starred in Austin Powers with Troyer, released a statement that said, "Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him.

Actor Verne Troyer, Mini-Me in 'Austin Powers' movies, dead at 49

Verne Troyer, the actor who delighted legions of fans with his comically wicked portrayals of Mini-Me, a foil to comedian Mike Myers in the "Austin Powers" spy movie sendups, died Saturday.

He was 49.

His death was announced on his official Facebook page, in a statement that began, It is with great sadness and incredibly heavy hearts to write that Verne passed away today.

Verne was an extremely caring individual, the statement said.

He wanted to make everyone smile, be happy, and laugh.

Anybody in need, he would help to any extent possible.

Verne hoped he made a positive change with the platform he had and worked towards spreading that message every day..

In a statement to the Hollywood Reporter, Myers said: Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him.

It is a sad day, but I hope he is in a better place.

He will be greatly missed..

No cause of death has been announced, but Troyer had struggled with alcohol abuse and had been hospitalized earlier this month with suspected alcohol poisoning.

At that time, posts on his Instagram and Facebook accounts stated Asking you to keep Verne in your thoughts and prayers.

Hes getting the best care possible and is resting comfortably.

Appreciate the support from family, friends, and fans around the world.

We will keep you updated here..

TMZ reported of that incident that one of Troyers friends had called authorities and described him at that time as extremely upset, drunk and suicidal.

The death notice on Saturday invoked similar themes, stating, Depression and Suicide are very serious issues.

You never know what kind of battle someone is going through inside.

Be kind to one another.

And always know, its never too late to reach out to someone for help..

It added: Verne was also a fighter when it came to his own battles.

Over the years hes struggled and won, struggled and won, struggled and fought some more, but unfortunately this time was too much..

Troyer, who was 32 inches tall, portrayed Mini-Me, the right-hand man of Austin Powers nemesis Dr.

Evil (also played by Myers) in 1999s Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. He reprised the role in the 2002 sequel Austin Powers in Goldmember. His character was described on IMDB as Dr.

Evils smaller and more concentrated pure evil protege..

He had worked to raise money for the Starkey Hearing Foundation, which actress Marlee Matlin, who is deaf, cited on Saturday.

So sad to read of the passing of Verne Troyer, Matlin tweeted.

A lovely smile with a caring and big heart, he helped raise money on behalf of @starkeycares for free hearing aids for deaf and hard of hearing people.

RIP.. Troyer was born Jan.

1, 1969, in Sturgis, Mich., and was raised about 250 miles north in Centerville, not far from the shore of Lake Michigan.

He was one of three children.

His achondroplasia dwarfism never affected the way his parents saw him, he said.

They never treated me any different than my other average-sized siblings.

I used to have to carry wood, feed the cows and pigs and farm animals. He was raised for a time in the Amish culture, but left the religion when he got older.

When he was 21, Troyer and his brother moved to Austin, Texas.

He found work as a stunt man and made appearances as animals or small children.

His first significant movie role was as a stunt double for a 9-month-old baby in Babys Day Out in 1994.

Other credits include Instinct, My Giant, Mighty Joe Young, Jingle all the Way, Men in Black, Bubble Boy and the goblin Griphook in Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the first entry in the Harry Potter film franchise.

His breakthrough role was as Mini-Me.

He expressed surprise at the reach of his popularity through the Austin Powers films and other roles, telling an interviewer in 2002, We go to other parts of the world and they know who I am.

I go on the internet, and Im amazed at all these fan sites..

The actor started the now-defunct Verne Troyer Foundation to offer support to other little actors, saying, Basically, I want to be able to inspire other little people to go to college and reach their goals.

Other philanthropic organizations he supported included the American Foundation for AIDS Research, Best Buddies International, Lupus LA and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.

Despite the success of the Austin Powers films, roles were harder to come by.

In 2004, he joined the cast of The Surreal Life reality TV series which revolved around faded celebrities.

His off-screen life also had difficulties.

in 2008, he became embroiled in a lawsuit with his former girlfriend, Ranae Shrider, over a sex tape they had made.

She said she sold it to a stranger who paid her $5,000 for the tape, the buyer saying he wanted it for private viewing, not public distribution.

Troyer sued seeking access to the tape to copyright it to avoid further distribution, but neither the buyer nor the tape could be found.

She sold it to a private collector, so I think [Troyers] suit is baseless, Shriders attorney, Keith Davidson, said at the time.

Davidson is the same lawyer who formerly represented adult film star Stephanie Clifford, aka Stormy Daniels, and Playboy bunny Karen McDougal, both of whom are now speaking out about alleged affairs with Donald Trump a decade or more before he was elected president.

Troyer most recently worked as the character Emperor Beezel-Chugg in the film Hipsters, Gangsters, Aliens and Geeks, which is still in postproduction.

The plot is described as Out-of-work actor stumbles upon key to the universe, is drawn into intergalactic war between clowns and aliens..
