and Subaru Impreza STI.

This is what we allways wanted to compare

and you guys too.

We had the 10th gen EVO here already.

That didn't do to badly

even though it had stock wheels.

Which are like 8 years old.

Factory stock wheels..

Also there was my EVO 6 but..

that's not important.. Don't even talk about that!

Today there is a EVO II which is the first one we could call an EVO.

The steering wheel is on the same side

as it is in mine.. It will make thigs a bit more difficult.

There aren't any modifications.

It still has the 265 hp engine.

But it has it's brakes from a Outlander Turbo

Those are stronger.

It also has semislick tyres and a limited-slip differential in the back.

If you're brave you can get a good lap.

We also have the Impreza STI from 2008, built in the USA, with a 2,5 l turbo engine.

It does 350 hp on the dyno so

we can't say it's completely stock.

And in the modern world..

This was the only STI

which made customers and journalists vomit.

It's because this is the only hatchback model.

The next one didn't follow that formula.

I got used to that look though.

Right-hand drive doesn't mean it's the right way to drive it..

It means the steering wheel is on the wrong side.

We'll see if we can get used to that.

I'm curious.. I think the Subaru may win with just a bit.

Because the generation gap and also it has more power.

It does weight more though..

and also the EVO 9. I drove both alot.

This is lighter so we'll see..

But we don't use right-hand drive cars everyday..

I think it's more predictable than the older Subarus.

Shifting from 3rd to 2nd was nearly impossible.

My arms aren't used to that.

I tried to practice it on the warmup lap.

I used 2nd instead.

On high rpms.

I only shifted a 3rd at the back.

Somehow I put it back to 2nd..

There was some reving in neutral untill you found the gear.

I don't have that move sadly..

The lap looked very good.

Also the drift before it.. even the owner liked it.

It really is good. So 48.800 whih is half a second

slower than the EVO 10. It's beatable! János?

The tyres are warmer!

There is no problem with the grip

just be careful because the power comes in suddenly.

The put it up to 3rd and tries to use the torque..

the opposite of what he likes to do.

It's only .15 slower than the EVO 10.

I was like "then it should come in 3rd!"

I may slided a bit too much.

If you turn it in the back starts to slide.

The balance could use some tweaking.

The downshift was a mess for me too..

You also slided there.. I couldn't find 2nd either.

It's a very fun car., I almost took those tyres with me.

Nevermind..

The owner said we can push it hard..

He may wants to go home with it.

The power comes in too early and it slides too much.

I liked that though.. You can drift with it

instead of goind fast.
