Auto news on Youtube Apr 21 2018

Did you know that in the 2018 Jeep Wrangler there are two batteries, I only

see one let's find out where the other ones at welcome back my name is Brandon

Haneline your jeep informant and if this is your first time here and you want to

be smarter after this video then you currently are make sure you keep

watching and don't forget to subscribe with the Bell alright, so before we get

started I'd be interested to know how many of you actually knew that the 2018

Jeep Wrangler had two batteries so let me know up here in the top right corner

to cast your vote if you did or didn't know guys the information that I'm going

to be bringing you today is in all seriousness this could be a hazard and a

safety issue for anyone that is working on the 2018 or newer Jeep Wrangler jr.

body let me show you what I'm talking about alright as you can see the

negative battery cable is disconnected with the voltmeter negative lead

attached to that also the positive battery terminal is disconnected also so

let's see if there's any voltage on these two wires with it disconnected

from the battery look at that twelve point two volts all right this is where

our problem lies most people don't realize when they disconnect that

battery they're still live voltage on it so if you're working on an airbag or

you're working on the electrical system where the battery needs to be

disconnected like the alternator or starter you could short something out

very very easily so if you're like me you want to know where the heck is this

voltage coming from I only see one battery I gotta figure this out

I'm thinking this right under this little area right here because I have

searched this whole vehicle over and can't find anything I did trace the

wires back and they kind of go up underneath areas so this is why I'm

taking this off well it's not as easy as just two bolts so it looks like we're

gonna take several screws off here to get this PDC out of the way then we

gotta take several more bolts off to get the PDC tray out of the way then there's

another cover here the

you know she's always man there is nobody gonna steal this battery if it's

down here anyway so looks like there's two more bolts

there let's take those two out for the reveal of the battery you don't tada

there you are a little guy I've been looking for you alright now that we know

where it's at what is it for and how can we disconnect it some easier way than

this so what is this auxilary battery for it's for the auto stop start yes

that's right when you're in a stop start event all the accessories on the

interior of the vehicle is run off of this small battery now the engine and

the starter used a large battery but the alternator does monitor both and charge

both there's gotta be a better way to disable both batteries if you need to

work on the vehicle so let me show you which cables to disconnect if you look

closely there's one dedicated negative battery terminal and that one goes to

the auxiliary battery so if you remove that then you're only disabling the

auxiliary battery now once you have that one removed you're going to need to

remove the other negative battery terminal to disable both batteries now

if you wanted to remove the positive terminal from the auxiliary battery

that's that one there guys the purpose of this video is to keep you safe I

guarantee you so many people do not know that when you disconnect the positive

and negative battery terminals only from the large battery that the cables are

still live and they have voltage on them so share this with everyone you know on

social media wherever whoever's got a Jeep Wrangler

to share this video and let them know about it okay so I hope you have learned

something today I hope you're smarter now than you were before when you

started and I hope you have a great day you take care guys and we'll see you

next time

Jeep Repair | Chrysler Repair | Dodge Repair | Seal Beach - Duration: 3:56.

So you live in the city of Seal Beach and you need help with a Jeep, Chrysler or Dodge.

I'm going to give you multiple reasons why you should go to Francisco's Automotive.

I give a three year, 36,000 mile warranty on most of my work, I give you a ride home,

I pick you up, if I keep your car overnight- I have the expertise, I have the knowledge,

I've been in business since 1985.

My name is Francisco, Francisco's Automotive.

I'm going to give you all those reasons and why you should come to me.

But first, let me show you my garden- I love my garden.

I'm here between seven in the morning till six o'clock at night, and this gives me a lot of peace.

I come out here sometimes and pick the weeds, but that relaxes me.

But now, let's talk about Chrysler.

You've got the PT Cruiser- the PT Cruiser, great car!

Great little car!

And then you have the Jeep- I mean, the Jeep has been around forever, if you want a rock

climber, you get a Jeep.

They can go- I mean why was the Army using them for so long?

Because they were rock climbers!

So if you live in the city of Seal Beach and you need any help-

It's right next door to me! Come to me!

And then you have the real muscle car- the Challenger.

Look at this- This is the muscle car, this is the vehicle that- When I- I ask Toyota

and Nissans and some Chryslers, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"

And you know, like the Toyota Camary says, "I wanna be a Dodge Challenger when I grow up!"

They all want to be- You know, you're Nissan Maxima's and all that, they all want to be

a Dodge Challenger when they grow up.

Now let's talk about electrical.

Electrical is my speciality- Here I have a breakout box that I bought in the 80s.

This goes between your computer and your wiring harness, and I used to be able to probe and

check every sensor.

And I could also simulate- This is a simulator that I could simulate the throttle position

senor, the fuel pressor sensor, the coolant temperature sensor, and I could find out what

part- Trigger points, these had trigger points at one time.

I could find out what part is bad without having to replace five parts to fix it.

It took two hours to set it up and do all the testing, and now set up and do all the

testing has gone from under an hour- Hooking up to five minutes.

I can hook one of these up in five minutes.

The laptop, the old scanners- Five minutes.

We still have scopes that when they get a little more complicated, when I want to see

the waves- A lot of the new scanners have scopes built into them.

Mechanics- My shop foramen just bought a scanner, that costs $13,000, it has a built in scope-

A built in everything- It prints, it does everything.

But- Now, what does that do for you?

I diagnose the car quicker, I fix it correctly, it saves you a lot of money.

So, if you have a Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep and you live in the city of Seal Beach and

you- Right next door- Come to Francisco's Automotive.

And let me show you my shop.

I have a ten bay automotive repair shop, it goes all the way to the back, okay?

So, call me with any of your questions.714-375-2661.

And I'm buying a car- I mean- I'm writing a book on how to buy a car, so if you've got

a question- You're going to buy a car, you're going to sell a car, call me with any of your questions.

Please, I have my daughter, I put her in a Jeep, I put my other kids in Suburbans and

big cars to protect them.

You don't want them getting in a fight with another car, and you be the smaller car.

My daughter walked away from two accidents- One was a drunk driver, the other one cut in front of her

The other cars were totaled, and they were taken to the hospital but my daughter walked away.

So, put your kids in a big car.

And any questions, call me.

I can fix anything except a broken heart.

My name is Francisco, Francisco's Automotive.

I took that from a friend of mine, I've got three daughters- Hi, Scotty.

1970 Jeep Wagoneer Part 2 - Duration: 3:49.

We are back from the sandblaster and we're gonna continue our disassembly.

Obviously you can tell we pulled the doors off get our wine harness all

disconnected rocker panels look really good obviously when you get it back from

the sandblaster you see other things that you didn't notice beforehand

there's some crusty looking weld in there but all of the body scenes and

everything look really good which is what we were hoping for so now the next

step is going to be to go ahead and remove the body from the chassis some of

you guys might be wondering well why didn't you just take the body off and

take it into the sandblaster well I wanted it to be able to drive in and out

so that it could be easier to move the sandblaster didn't have a forklift or

anything like that to move it around so we decided to pull it get it sandblasted

pull it out and then we're probably going to do some cleanup stuff after we

get it into primer anyway so anyway the engine is mostly disconnected from the

body the steering shaft is disconnected and we are ready to go ahead and lift

the body off of the chassis and see what we're working with there

well we're beyond committed at this point we have transitioned all the way

to a complete frame-off restoration of our Wagoneer there you can see our buick

350 chassis turbo 400 dana 20 transfer case looking nasty wagon air fuel tank

on the side Dana 44 rear axle spring over in the back spring under in the

front so now we are going to roll this chassis out get it cleaned up and we

discovered more rust in our floor pans so we're gonna have to address that rust

get the underside of this cleaned up so that it can look nice and pretty and

preserved like the rest of it
