SUZUKI SV 650 (2016 - 2018) - RECENSIONE| REVIEW [ENGLISH SUBTITLES] - Duration: 9:44.

Hello Riders and welcome from Your MadHorse!

Kissed from the sun this time I'll do this review about a bike which I had the opportunity to know very well

and the bike is: Suzuki SV 650 (2016 - 2018)

this 2016 version had many colours:

Red, Blue, Black and White with Blue Stripes like mine

A bike reborn with an Hard goal

infact on past a lot of SV were sold, almost 32.000 in Italy

this succes was made possible by a good bike design, the aluminium frame and an engine with HP fun to ride

this sales success was interupted in the 2009 by stopping the SV production and replacing it with the "Gladius"

one of the most "hatred" from Suzuki, mainly from the average Design

and for cheap technical solutions despite the SV

and from the ashes of the Gladius comes out the Suzuki SV (refreshed) again

trying to regain the same "Winning Recipes" of the previouses SV

a bit more accurate technically despite the Gladius

good prestations

and a bike fun to ride

with extremely low costs of manteinance

the changed design from Gladius to SV give some advantages to this bike

infact the exhaust cutted 3,5 Kg

and the whole SV lost 8 Kg despite Gladius by weighin' 197 Kg (Dry Weight)

and it's not a real light weight but the cyclistics of this bike make it feel much lighter than it really is

and this good cyclistics comes out from a good balance of all parts of the bike and this SV 650 it's almost perfect for every kind of height (rider)

The saddle has an height of 785 mm

furthermore the gas tank it's pretty small and make us able to feel much better the bike between our legs (almost like a supermoto)

an outstanding riding comfort

I rode this bike a lot into traffic too, living in a large city like Rome

and I can guarantee that it's easy to ride like a bicycle

this bike is able to pass in very small spaces where other bikes probably would stop

it's simply but good refined in pure Japanese Style

The engine it's the old classic V Twin of Suzuki

projected to mix Prestations, linear erogation and low gas consumptions

able to erogate 76 hp at 8.500 Rpm

not incredible numbers

but perfect for the soul of this bike

infact this bike it's perfect for many kind of riders

like rookies which are moving Their first steps in the 2 wheels world

and at the same time it's quite good for more experienced riders

that are not chasing the maximum prestation

but which want to have fun and keeping low costs of gas and manteinance

to complete this engine

We find the stock exhaust, which is not so bad on the looking (My personal opinion)

but the sound it's not so good due to the anti pollution laws (Euro 4)

this bike has little upgrades for the engine

has a new Air Box with a different design

and a Radiator wider of 2 cm

which with this "slim" bike looks a bit oversized

the trellis frame is paired with a front traditional fork of 41mm diameter, 125 mm travel and it's not adjustable

instead the rear suspension can be setted on 7 different preload positions and it has a travel of 63mm

The suspensions are average but for this kind of bike are good enough

this bike is easy and fun but not so much sporty

because with a more aggressive ride this suspensions are too much soft

specially if We find a messed up asphalt

but for a city use this suspensions are perfect, offering an incredible comfort

The front brake has 2 disks of 290 mm diameter and a 2 pistons brake from Tokiko

and on rear it has a single one of 245 mm diameter and 1 piston from Nissin

both brakes have ABS

and the brake section it's another Con for this bike

because on a relaxed ride this brakes are good just enough

but by riding this bike a bit more aggressively the front brake it's way too soft

If We need to brake suddendly or strongly We have to squeeze the whole lever

trusting on the ABS but I would have preferred a more aggressive front brake

The rear brake is setted good for brake powering and abs entering

but now let's focus on a couple of peculiar and good accessories which this bike have

like the "Low RPM Assist"

this system give a good erogation while releasing the clutch and start moving

Ok I totally released the clutch without touching the throttle

and for the Rookies is a realy interesting tool

Another nice tool on this bike is

which means Simple engine start

despite most of the bikes which need to keep the finger on the start until the engine kicks in

with Suzuki We need to touch it just one time

and We're ready to have fun on Our bike

the sotck tyres are Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier

and this tyres are quite good on dry asphalt

but good too on wet asphalt

I really love the strumentation on this bike

all digital show

Rpms, Speed pace, The KM/Miles partials and totals

clcok, fuel indicator, gas consumption and remaining kilometers related to gas amount

and last but not least the gear indicator

pretty useful, specially for rookies

another con of this bike, always related to high speed ride

and it's related to high speed on straight

the front on this bike is quite "light"

and specially on windy days it can result pretty unstable, risiking some "death Wobbles"

but despite this cons this bike it's not bad

but like I said this bike is perfect for Rookies and Riders which want to have fun without spending too much

The gas consumption it's almost ridiculous

riding it aggressively You'll go a bit down 20 km/l

The gas tank it's not so big (14 liters)

but witht his kind of bike is bige enough to make a lot of road at different paces

to get this "Double Face" bike We'll face a price tag of

6.590 Euros

this bike can be depowered for A2 License, so it can become a rider's first bike at 18 Years Old

to repowering it when the A3 License is attended

a nice entry level from Suzuki

with a lot of personality

so that's all folks
