This is Billy with Story Moto ADV taking Bonnie's Versys out for a little run. I love this bike

because most adventure bikes don't have this type of motor I'm used to like

looser twins and the thumpers you know Even a punchy one like my beamer is fast

and obviously the KLR is not fast but it's fun

all bikes are fun... but this one is unique. I talk about it in my other review,

that it's just a punchy tight motor and the powers there whenever you need it

if you're lighter. That's one thing I didn't mention in the other video-- that

is... if you're heavier, if you're a bigger guy ( I'm a smaller guy I'm like

150 my wife she's 110 my son is 110... and man they just smoke on this thing) I'd say

160 -170 is the cutoff of this bike for that type of performance.

We decided that episode one should be first and foremostly about the make-or-break

factor-- whether or not the versys. actually can hold its own off-road. So it works

like this... We are out to prove to ourselves and everybody else and end

the controversy once and for all. Is the Versys X 300 a capable adventure touring bike?

We take it out and give it what we call 'the full throttle test' which is

exactly what it sounds like... I give it everything it has. if it holds up to

the test it gets to move on to the next episodes. In the context of the

world's best mini it has to pass the test. So here we go

and so there you have it Wow and I think the one I heard that

got to me the most was a statement that read... ' the versys X, its

lack of responsive off-road mannerisms removes it from the pool of true

adventure bike status. I never believed it for a second and to that naysayer I

would say this: X! you're wrong this bike checks up I would race this bike on this

terrain against any of the bikes that I'm familiar with... as far as adventure

bike are concerned. it's not going to get out there and beat a WR 250 or a 690 on this

type of terrain but it is most certainly gonna hold itself up against the mid to

light weight adventure bikes. this bike checks up. insofar as its off-road

capability is concerned BAM - Bonnie's X makes it - episode 2. so if you're loving it as much

Hi I'm George with Epiphan Video and today we wanted to take you on a guided tour of Pearl Mini.

So what is Pearl Mini?

Pearl Mini is your standalone all-in-one live streaming and recording encoder.

We can combine Pearl Mini with cameras and other video signals like laptops and presentations,

multiple audio signals, and do everything on one device.

A studio-in-a-box essentially.

With the big touchscreen on the front, multiple inputs and outputs on the back, we're going

to go through all those pieces with you today, and talk about how it can be used.

So who is Pearl Mini for?

Pearl Mini is great for lecture capture, live event production, enterprise video.

Just about any scenario where you have multiple video and audio signals and you need an all-in-one

device to bring them together - that's what Pearl Mini is all about.

Pearl Mini may be small, but it's packed with professional features like XLR audio, multi-encoding

and multi-streaming.

Let's take a tour around the outside of the box.

Starting on the front we have a USB port for offloading recorded content.

An SD card slot for our storage media, status LEDs for streaming, recording, and power.

Of course it's hard to miss the giant beautiful touch screen that gives us a point of control

for switching, start/stop control and several other functions.

Around the back, we'll find our XLR and TRS combo jacks for analog audio.

We'll also find HDMI and SDI inputs for professional video.

Network and power, all the usual things you would expect.

But this gives us a great mix of functionality for various different needs.

So let's get started and do a little bit of a walkthrough of a 2 camera setup.

I'll start with connecting my power, and today I'm going to be using 2 GoPro cameras as my

HDMI video sources.

I'll just get those set up here.

And again we use standard HDMI connectors.

I could also alternatively be using an SDI connector as well.

But I also will be taking audio from this microphone which does require phantom power,

so I'll make sure that that is connected as well.

And then lastly my network connection.

And push the power button.

So now with everything connected, Pearl is booting up and in a moment we will have everything

here on the front touch screen where we can take a look at some of the previews that we're

getting from these cameras here.

As well as our audio levels and all those different functions on that front touch screen.

Let's go ahead and take a look at the configuration on Pearl Mini.

Earlier I set up a couple of layouts ahead of time.

And layouts are how live switching is done on Pearl Mini, so let's take a look at those.

The two I set up, one is a failry simple picture-in-picture layout.

And the design of these is very easy to use.

It's a simple click and drag interface for both the general layout as well as the cropping

I'm using on one of my camera signals.

My other layout is using a main camera shot and some custom text overlays.

These overlays can be made up of custom text like these ones.

Or they could also be using images, like JPEG or PNG images, to add branding and other content

elements to your production.

Again the layout of it is a simple click and drag in order to design and move these pieces

around, to really add whatever creative flair you want to your production.

With Pearl Mini we can stream and record at the same time.

Recordings can be done in AVI, MP4, MOV file types.

Making it easy to integrate with just about any workflow.

With streaming we can publish to any RTMP server for CDN integration like Facebook,

YouTube, Vimeo, USTREAM, just about any platform you desire, Pearl can do that with RTMP.

There's a number of other streaming options as well for the more advanced users, but we

can cover that at another time.

So that's pretty much it.

Now that we have everything configured we're ready to start our event.

On the front touchscreen can control start/stop recording, start/stop streaming.

Do my switching and of course if I need to do that more remotely, I can also use Epiphan

Live, a web browser based controller, where I can also access those controls.

Once my recordings are finished they're all there directly on the SD card ready to deliver.

We're really just scratching the surface here today.

My name is Yvo, I am 35 years old and I live together with my partner Suzette

and three kids here at the Bietenrood farm. We grow vegetables in an organic way. We

do that in a small scale, intensive way. That means that we grow over 50 different

vegetables, from salad to tomato, from leek to potatoes and everything in between.

We see ourselves as a social farm, we have direct distribution so if

we cut the salad in the morning, we pack it and then it ships off to the customer

directly. There's nothing in between. Customers are not just customers, but

they are also participating in our farm.

We are certified organic so that means we are not using any chemical

fertilizers and we're not using chemical manure, that's really strict

from you know, by law basically. But we go further than that. We just, we grow in a

way that we think is sustainable for the earth, for the environment, for the soil,

and therefore also for the people and the animals living on this planet.

The reason why I got into organic farming was basically because when in my

teens I got involved with punk rock music and hardcore music and that

really shaped me as a person. I got involved with people who were vegetarian

and vegan. And I became vegetarian, I became vegan, I got interested in

anarchist ideas. Back then I already was buying my groceries mostly farmers

market. From the people that I knew, and I thought, well that's beautiful that I can

buy my vegetables so fresh, so honest basically, and then I came to the

conclusion I have to do this myself as well.

Every day when you wake up there are always choices that you can make. Are you

going to the big supermarket or are you going to the local grocery store, you know?

And I'm not saying that one is bad and the other is the best in the world.

But there is a choice, there is also a responsibility as a person I think.

A Galaxy S9 Mini Spotted? - Duration: 2:28.

So, it appears as though Samsung is going to bring back a mini version of its latest

flagship phone, the Galaxy S9.

The last time Samsung released a mini handset was back in 2014, which was the Galaxy S5

mini.

Now it looks like the Mini is making a comeback, That is, if this Geekbench listing is legitimate.

Rumors of a mini version of Samsung's Galaxy S flagships pop up each and every year.

Sometimes they pan out, sometimes they don't.

This time around, however, it looks like Samsung is indeed working on a more compact version

of its Galaxy S9, and it'll likely feature a smaller price tag as well.

The first mention of a Galaxy S9 mini came from this Twitter leakster who's not that

reliable.

Anyways, a few interesting takeaways are found within the benchmark results in question.

First, the Galaxy S9 mini is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor

clocked at 1.84GHz.

The phone also runs Android 8.0 Oreo, and it comes with 4GB of RAM.

Other details are still a mystery for the time being, and we still don't know when the

phone will be released, though it'll likely be sometime in the coming months.

That being said, the association with a mini Galaxy S9 model comes from part leak, part

guesswork, and perhaps part wishful thinking.

There's no way of telling if this is the Galaxy S9 mini or something else.

The model number certainly doesn't match anything from recent years and it's completely possible

that this could be a new mid-range handset from Samsung.

So take this benchmark with a grain of salt until something substantial comes up.

But in any case, Would you be interested in a Galaxy S9 mini with lesser specs than the

regular Galaxy S9?
