video we'll be talking about a highly anticipated hatchback from Hyundai to the new
Santro while this car is tightly under wraps
here's all we know about it. #1: Okay the new Santro might not be called
the Santro. Hyundai might use a completely new name for the hatchback to
give it its own unique identity that said we'd love to see the Santro
nameplate make a comeback.
#2: the new hatchback will be powered by a 1
liter 3-cylinder petrol engine. The motor is expected to produce about 66 PS of
power and 95 Newton meters of torque #3: For the first time in India
a Hyundai car is expected to feature an automated manual transmission. Yep you
heard that right. An AMT is likely to be offered in the
new hatchback. #4: Hyundai has confirmed that a diesel engine won't be
on offer in the new hatchback. This is because the segment is heavily dominated
by petrol engines and there simply isn't enough demand for a small diesel car
#5: It's a Hyundai, it's gotta have features
the hatchback is likely to offer manual air-conditioning for power windows, a
Bluetooth equipped music system and steering mounted audio controls.
Hyundai could throw in some niceties such as gate and running lamps or a touchscreen
infotainment system as well. #6: The 2018 Santro is expected to slot in
between the Eon and the grand i10, expect prices to start around the four lakh
rupee mark and top out around five point five lakh rupees. we expecting Hyundai
to launch this car this year possibly just ahead of the festive season. What
