- Yes! And they will also be the stars of this video! So, shall we go to the lab?

- Emm, I will go out with my friends today..

- Ok! When I get back, I want you to have cooked dinner and washed the clothes.

At this point, I would like to invite you to participate at Smart Chemistry's next experiment.

Alright then, we will schedule it.

Trimethyl borate is the name of the chemical compound we will deal with today..

and it has a very interesting property when it burns.

No, I will not reveal what this property is, I will not make a spoiler.

You will have to wait and watch, when the time comes, the beautiful green flames of trimethyl borate.

Let's do this!

First of all, gloves, glasses amd protection masks are essential before starting the experiment.

The substances we will use are quite dangerous..

..and during the burning, there are some gases released, that you don't want to inhale..

..because they will transform you to the many-headed Hydra.

Trimethyl borate is composed by methanol and boric acid..

..with a reaction that is similar to esterification.

We will use a conical flask and a reflux tube..

..so that the evaporated methanol returns to the reaction mixture.

Chrstina measures H3BO3..

..while Giorgos is helping her to transfer it into the conical flask.

Konstantinos measures the quantity of methanol we will use..

..but the transportation of it into the reaction mixture cannot be done by unexperienced babies.

So, we trust Evgenia's experienced and strong hands..

..which tremble so much that can cause oscillation to Rio-Antirrio bridge.

Stergios is stirring, water starts flowing and the heating pistol starts working.

The reaction will be completed in about half an hour.

Some concantrated H2SO4 has been added to the mixture..

..so that it absorbs the produced water..

..and according to Le Chatelier Principle, the balance of the reaction is moved towards the products...

..and we will get more trimethyl borate

You may use the sentence above at your school exams.

Regarding the reactants, methanol is used as antifreezer and fuel..

..in lab, it is used as solvent..

and some very famous organic compounds are composed by methanol.

And now Zafeiria, who doesn't care about the theoritical part of the experiment..

..prepares the mixture for filtration and removal of the H3BO3, that didn't react.

But there will be a more extensive discussion about the reaction and its chemicals in the next video.

Almost pure trimethyl borate, after filtration, will be burnt in 3 different ways.

We tried a 4th way, but Stergios' joke burnt us and not trimethyl borate.

Some trimethyl borate is added in these three small flasks..

..for you to get an idea of the green flames.

Next, we will lighten the table up with some more trimethyl borate.

Now, we will pour all the remaining trimethyl borate on the floor..

..for an outstanding spectacle.

Christina pours trimethyl borate on the floor..

..while the others are fighting about who will touch off the combustion.

Winner is Evgenia, who ties all lighter's fiances up with aikido moves..

..and sparkles..

Why did we make a green carcinogenic fire inside Smart Chemistry Lab..

The Crestron Smart Home - Duration: 2:14.

- Welcome to the residential pavilion, ISE 2018.

Just gonna run these through a quick Pyng demonstration,

pointing out the new additions being launched this year.

Our new horizontal sheers, our Horizon keypads,

our two new remote controls, the HR and TSR-310,

and the inclusion of video into Pyng.

Let's get started.

Scheduled into Pyng,

first thing in the morning is my alarm.

Really annoying music.

Gets me out of bed.

I grab my HR-310, and I push wake up.

My scene changes, my lights come on,

my horizontal shears have tilted open

and I've got some nice background audio on.

Once dressed, I'm ready to leave the bedroom.

Using my Horizon keypad, I turn my bedroom off,

and for the purpose of this demonstration,

using the same keypad to turn on my kitchen.

Once I'm in the kitchen, got my coffee machine on,

and I fancy a little bit less music and a bit more news.

Once ready to leave the house, leaving via the front door.

Again, same Horizon key pad,

pushing my away button shuts my house down completely.

My horizontal sheers in my bedroom have now closed,

my blind in my living area has closed,

and for the purpose of this demonstration,

we're using the RGB function on our Horizon keypads

to show a color, red,

which is showing us the security system is armed.

Busy day at work, I'm now coming home.

Using the home button, the house starts up again.

Lights are coming on to greet me,

my television has come on in my living area

because I like TV when I come home,

and my blinds are opening.

Children are being a bit raucous,

so I'm now gonna push the game button on my HR-310

to start up my Xbox so they can sit down

and play a bit of Xbox before dinner.

With the children now gone to bed,

I'm now gonna push the movie button,

which is a preset configured back into video.

With the addition of video now into Crestron Pyng,

this is all now possible.

Video Smarts Episode 3 - The smart way to write a brief - Duration: 2:15.

Hi, you're watching the third episode of Video Smarts, a series all about how to

order and use video, rather than how to shoot or edit it. Last time, we looked at

choosing the right agency to work with and what to ask for on your quote. This

time, our focus will be on the brief, or what your video agency needs to know to

get going. At a strict minimum, your brief needs to provide what the agency cannot,

namely the aim of the video, the target audience, and the target duration. With

those three pillars up, how much you contribute to the rest of the edifice

will depend largely on how much time you have and how creative you are. In this

brief we received for an animation project, the client was quite specific

about each scene and what had to happen in it. Even if you're short of both time

and ideas, we do recommend you try to provide bullet points of the key

messages or moments you want included, like this client did. That will allow

your video agency to write up the first draft of the script, if you haven't

already done so. Although not all videos have scripts, most do and it's really

important to understand that the script is the very backbone of your production.

Once recorded, the choice and timing of all video cuts will depend on it, so it's

imperative that it be done first and done well. In this video we have assumed

that you're sending your brief after having chosen your video agency, based on

a quote. But if possible, it's actually advisable to send the brief before you

get a quote. This will not only make sure you're getting a more accurate quote,

because video agencies will have a clearer picture of what will be required,

but it may also help you decide who might be the most suitable partner,

because with more information, agencies can be more specific about how they

propose to produce your video, and this, in turn, will give you a better idea of

what they intend to do and how, and so whether they are the right match or not.

Smart 'Physically Cleared' to Play in Game 5 - Duration: 3:10.

Smart 'Physically Cleared' to Play in Game 5

Marcus Smart was initially not expected to return from hand surgery until Game 6 or 7 of the first round, at the very earliest.

However, thanks to his rapid-healing powers, Smart could be back in action as early as tonight for Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Brad Stevens revealed this morning prior to shootaround that Smart had a reevaluation on his right thumb yesterday and it went as well as anyone could have hoped.

"He still has to go through some things later this morning after our shootaround, and then we'll see how he feels after that," said Stevens. "If he feels good, then he's been cleared physically to go.

If he has any pain or anything comes up, then we'll hold him out.".

The possibility of Smart's return brightened up the day for the C's, who are looking to bounce back and gain a 3-2 lead in the series after dropping Games 3 and 4 in Milwaukee.

"It's great news," said Al Horford. "I think that with Marcus back, he just does a lot for our team. So, if he does feel good, that's great for us.".

Smart has been sidelined since mid-March, after tearing the ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb while diving for a loose ball against the Indiana Pacers.

Being restricted to the sideline has caused great mental agony for Smart, but his role as a fill-in assistant coach has been of great benefit for the Celtics in the meantime.

"It's been very tough for him," said Horford. "But he's been great for our group.

He's always giving us his input, he's there supporting us, and he's staying in my ear about things I need to do on the floor, ways I can get open and just little things like that.

He just sees the game so clear, so it's always nice to have him around.". As much as the C's appreciated Smart's coaching, they could certainly benefit more from having him back on the court.

The C's currently rank last in defensive rating among the remaining teams in the postseason and have also allowed the highest opponent field goal percentage and 3-point percentage. Smart's elite defensive versatility should be of aid Boston in all of those areas.

"It helps a lot," said Horford. "We've been able to deal without him, but having him back makes us that much more versatile.

He can guard multiple positions, he knows the positions, so there's no question about it that he helps us a lot.".

With that being said, the C's know that it could take some time for Smart to shake off the rust, having been absent from the court for an extended period.

Still, his tenacious approach should be able to make an immediate positive effect.

"This is an opportunity for him to come in and do what he does best, and that is impact the game with his energy, his physicality, his savvy and his skill," said Stevens.

"He's really excited to play, but at the same time, we'll see how he feels. If he's got any lingering effects at all after going 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 here in an hour or so, then we won't play him.".

If Smart says he feels fine, however, then he will be good to go. And if that's the case, the Celtics should have a major boost for Game 5.

"He brings that toughness, he brings that edge," said backcourt mate Terry Rozier. "He's got everybody on the same level – we want to play just how he plays. So, I'm excited if he's playing tonight.".
