I'll get in, start the car and....drive off

Almost two months ago,

at this exact place,

I introduced "Bridget" to you all.

She was in a much different condition,

desperately needing attention.

After a lot of hard work and effort,

which you all witnessed in Part I and Part II.

You can click the link above,

to watch our restoration process.

We have truly overhauled the car,

the engine has been improved both

cosmetically and mechanically

Most of the worn and damaged parts are renewed.

The entire interior has been redone.

From the smallest button,

to the full upholstery.

She is still not perfect,

there are still some minor work to be done.

I wasn't happy with the finishing on the Carbon Fiber trim.

They are being redone as we speak

Other than that,

There have been new things I discovered,

after I got the car back.

Things like steering rack sensitivity,

softness of the clutch, etc.

Which became a short " to do " list.

She will go back to the mechanic, ASKAR,

to sort out these issues again.

All the companies we worked with,

executed amazing work.

Dents were removed,

ISKENDER replaced the exhaust tips,

OZSAYGILI refurbished the wheels,

I want to mention these companies,

so that people can go to them for their cars.

I am not promoting them,

as I have paid for all the work myself.

Our restoration took almost two months.

It went almost according to plan,

except for some unexpected surprises,

Such as, Ignition Coils,

Other than that,

We discovered some rust,

while we were replacing the window seals.

This required a rust repair and new paint

I know this has been asked many times,

and you all are dying to know,

" How much did all this cost? "

I do not want to disclose any amount here,

as I don't like exposing my expenses.

It's just a matter of principle.

If you are familiar with car restoration a little,

and know these companies mentioned,

you can guess the roughly amounts.

But, if you are still clueless,

You can call them up,

from the names and numbers we showed

in the earlier episodes.

I hope you will understand my reasoning in this.

I not the bragging type,

at all.

We tried to do something nice,

Yes, it has been costly,

but, I feel such a special car,

deserved all these costs.

She needed to be saved,

as she is part of BMW's history.

And coincidentally,

Our garage have been displayed on,

BMW's official website, bmw.com

With your support and our hard work,

It was an enjoyable journey,

I will be showing you many shots of the car,

as we will be going for a ride,

to show you this green in the wild.

Speaking about the green, I almost forgot,

DBY Detailing, came all the way from Ankara just for us.

To restore " Bridget " 's bodywork

and I have never seen such a transformation before,

They previously worked on our Porsche too,

which was also great work

but this,

has been something else.

They brought the color back to life.

proving the car didn't need a full respray.

They even said that,

it wouldn't shine this much if she was repainted,

as the paint had almost no orange peel

from years of waxing and polishing

which ultimately gave us this mirror finish.

Overall,

we did this and that and,

in the end, she is finished.

We may have other restorations in the future,

if luck and funds are on our side.

But untill then, enjoy " Bridget "

This time, we wanted to do something different,

and finish our video here.

As we keep saying, "Get out and Drive"

after all the work you you witnessed,

like, the before and after shots,

and all the hard work on "Bridget",

But, at the end,

It all comes down to this !

to get out and drive these wonderful machines

Hearing that //M engine,

bouncing from the redline,

I don't see the point of owning these cars,

if you won't take them out and enjoy them

That is why, we are at the edges of Istanbul,

somewhere in the forest roads near the third bridge

I sincerely hope you all enjoyed

this restoration and quick summary

We are planning more constent with "Bridget",

we may take her to track or even abroad.

But so far, we believe our efforts have been worth it.

with very little things left to do.

Don't forget,

Get out and Drive !

2018 BMW M4 CS REVIEW - Duration: 6:46.

Also BMW likes to make special editions of specific models

Today we drive the BMW M4 CS, and CS means 'Clubsport'

And 'Clubsport' means a better performing M4

An M4 that needs more control, but it does what you want it to do

The M4 CS comes between the M4 Competion Pack and the M4 GTS

The M4 GTS is a very beloved car, but unfortunately it's sold out

The M4 CS has a power output of 460 hp and 600 Nm of torque

0-100 km/h only takes 3.9 seconds and it can reach a top speed op 280 km/h

And that top speed is still a limited top speed...

The BMW M4 CS is a beast!

The M4 CS has a better chassis, a better rear axle, a better slip differential...

It has a lot of carbon fiber which makes the CS 30kg lighter than a 'normal' M4

Not just the roof, but also the bonnet is made of carbon fiber

In the interior we see a lot of alcantara, a textile loop to close the door

Small things to give the M4 CS a more 'racy' look

The M4 CS is not a car that's only suitable for trackdays

This car is also so much better of the public roads

As soon as you get in, you realize that the CS is so much better

The difference with normal M4 is very big, the CS feels more complete

The 'normal' M4 easily rolls over his rear wheels, it feels a bit too rigid

The CS feels better right away and is also so much faster

It still has two buttons on the steering wheel; M1 and M2

M1 means that the car becomes a bit more sporty, but it still doesn't give it all

M2 means maximum power available and the car becomes racy

The ESP hands you over the control and you can play a bit more

And of course I like it...

But, the M4 CS is normally on semi-slick tires...

Be careful with what you are doing, the M4 CS is a beast

It's a car that you have to tame

But we are currently driving with winter tires because it's still pretty cold

The Sport Cup 2 semi-slick tires are very good but only when they are hot enough

The temperature outside is now just above 0 degrees celsius, so the semi-slick tires are useless

So that's why we driving with the winter tires; it doesn't look that good but we have so much more grip

Taking corners with so much feeling... The ESP system lets you take a step aside

That sound, a lovely sounding 3.0 liter six-in-line engine!

The M Performane sport exhaust is stock on the M4 CS

It goes all the way up to 8000 rpm and then it sounds so deep

The M4 CS feels so sharp

I think I can say that the CS is the best version of the M4

Perfect cornering... what a beast!

The back-end which slides perfectly into the corner

You can play with the car...

In a way that still very safe, you have all the control

The M4 CS is more expensive than the M4 Competition and it only has 10 hp more

But the total package of the CS with all the carbon fiber...

It feels like the M4 should be

And yes, it's more expensive; with ceramic brakes it will easily cost you €160.000,-

But it's definitely worth the money; this is car is how we like it.
