I remember well,
they were pretty loud in the stadium.
In South Africa, we didn't just perform well, it was an amazing life experience too.
The German mentality is about the team behind the team.
It was a great tournament and we came third.
And in 2014, we won it.
My World Cup trophy
is always with me.
To hold the trophy in your hands with your son on the pitch,
to share it with him at the Maracana was an eternal experience.
I can't put my arm in a museum,
so I have my dad's ticket from 2006.
Germany against Poland.
This is it.
I'm from Poland, my family from Poland was in the stadium,
my family from Germany was in the stadium.
It was absolutely great.
It was very emotional and incredible for me.
I won the trophy for the best Young Player of the Tournament.
Messi was playing, Ronaldo was playing.
No-one can take these moments away from me.
