Auto news on Youtube Apr 19 2018

Hello everybody!

You join us in Piazza Ferrarese, here in Bari

Where Unicef and Old Cars Club organized a special event

A Mini Gran Prix of Bari, with little gentlemen drivers

Racing each other in tiny cars with pedals on a small circuit down there

For the occasion Porsche Club Puglia, Centro Porsche Bari and Remarketing

Brought here an ultra rare jewel

True petrolheads will certainly know that some years ago debuted the Holy Trio of the Hypercars

Ferrari Laferrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder

Well, after seeing in the flesh a Laferrari and starting it up during the 2017 Ferrari Cavalcade

Today we're lucky enough to take a closer look

To the Hybrid beast from Stuttgart

Aesthetically it has lots of details from its predecessor

The rival to the Ferrari Enzo: the Porsche Carrera GT

They look very similar, a convex design settled on the ground

It looks like a cloud with 4 wheels

It has some crazy aerodynamic features

This very 918 Spyder has the Weissach Package

With carbon fiber aerodynamic details in the front and in the back

Let's get a little closer

If you saw our video test drive with the Panamera Sport Turismo E-Hybrid from a couple of weeks ago

You'll remember we talked about the Porsche Hybrid technologies

Well: it all started from here

This hypercar has a V8 petrol engine and an electric one, that combined provide 893HP

A tremendous amount!

It has some lime green details all around, such as this E-Hybrid badge on the side

Lime green brake calipers too

Inside too, we'll take a look later, there are lime green details

Then the back: that's the part that reminds me the Carrera GT the most

Aerodynamic lower bits in carbon fiber

This massive spoiler

It lifts up in Race Mode

Here's another detail in lime green, the ''918 Spyder'' badge

But the most beautiful part of the car, in my opinion

Is this one

The engine bay with the two upper exhausts tips

Then there's this concave back part of the roof, which reminds the shape of the seats inside

And this is also the part in which the 918 Spyder reminds me of the Carrera GT

A wonderful heritage in a wonderful car

Well, let's take a look inside

Wow, what an emotion, let me sit well

The carbon fiber shell is incredible

Such an amazing interior!

Forgive me, but this truly is my first time in a 918 Spyder

And it is tremendous!

Inside it has more heritage from the Carrera GT

This central tunnel, similar to the one of the Carrera GT

It had the gear lever with a wooden tip

Technology went on since that car, so now there's a touch screen

With many touch buttons

Right here another screen

And in front of me the wonder

It is a wonder!

Central line in lime green

Such as the trims on the seats

And this steering wheel

It is perfect

Here's the Porsche rotor

With many driving modes: there's E

Which stands for E-Hybrid...

No, forgive me, E stands for Electric Mode, there's the H for Hybrid, I'm too emotional right now

Then there's Sport Mode

But here there's no Sport Plus, here's an R: Race Mode

A monster with 893 HP and 1275 NM of torque

Needs to be brought on a track

For the rest, it is simply...It may sound like a banal phrase

But this car is a spaceship!

These seats are the most wrapping thing I've ever been into

A whole world of carbon fiber: on the dash

Behind me, the car is totally made in carbon fiber

Getting inside was a bit difficult

Because of this massive carbon fiber piece

A moment ago we've been lucky enough to take a look inside the tiny front trunk

Where you put the roof, remember the name, 918 Spyder

The two Alcantara clad roof panels go in there

And we noticed that there too was all made in carbon fiber

This is an excellent car!

Of course it has Hybrid technologies

Down here there's a fire extinguisher

The foot zone for the passenger shows tons of carbon fiber

Here's a cupholder

This car is wonderful, the gearbox paddles come in a color I can't even recognize

Halfway between silver and gloss black

Wonderful color

For a wonderful car

Red line begins at 9000RPM and ends at 10000RPM!

Maximum speed displayed is 350KPH

It is an undescribable feeling and luck

And I can't thank enough Remarketing, Porsche Club Puglia and Centro Porsche Bari
