with the start up so I have been requested to make a extended review of this car, ah a detailed
one so it's gonna be quite informative for future buyers and also for
second-hand car market buyers okay so stay tuned, it will be coming up
soon one week later

hey guys welcome to another video on my channel today we will be doing extended
review of the 2017 Mitsubishi Attrage Singapore spec, so without further ado
let's get on by unlocking the car. OK, there are 2 ways to unlock our first is very key fob the
other one is about a button beside the driver's door handle as you can see right there
right so when you open it with the key fob you see that this car has the automatic
opening side windows so you do not worry about opening or closing it within the
car itself although you have the option which I will show you guys later in a minute. The
other method as I said earlier is this button near the driver door handle. Same
as the key fob the side mirrors also open and they will close back
automatically when you lock the car with either the key or by the button. As I
said earlier you have the option of ah closing or opening side mirrors from
inside a car with this button over here.
you also can adjust the angles of your mirrors by switching this switch first
whether you want to adjust your right mirror or your left mirror right so this
dial in the center helps you to switch it whether you want need to move it up down
left or right once you're done just put it back to the center so you don't unnecessarily
or accidentally press the switch so that the mirror doesn't move
This car comes with only one engine package that is the 1.2 liter 3-cylinder
12 valve engine it is DOHC MIVEC engine. So what does MIVEC
actually mean MIVEC stands for Mitsubishi innovative valve timing
electric control. These engines are being made by Mitsubishi Motors themselves
especially for their Mitsubishi vehicles. This car uses a electronic
control multi-point injection for his fuel injection system so for a 1.2 liter
car with no turbo charges added it has only 79 brake horsepower producing a
106 Newton meters of torque. 0-100 takes 13.3 seconds with a top
speed of a 174 km/h the fuel tank can hold up to 42 litres of petrol. The consumption as
per reports is 20.4 km/l, so after doing some calculation, we can see that this car can
travel up to 856.8 kilometers in one full tank
the co2 emission which is the carbon dioxide emission is 113 grams per
kilometer traveled when tested by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore so
based on the time when this video was taken there was a $10,000 CEVS rebate
for this car when this car was bought
Alright so this is the instrument panel in the car, alright, on the left hand
side you have the rev counter, center you have the speedometer
on the right, you have the other lights they light up depending on what the situation
is for example if your lights on then that's a light that will light up
if you doors are not closed or they all open it's a light saying your doors
are still open, alright, in the center down here you can see there's the multi
information display, in the multi information display you can swap around with the switch down here
okay currently it is in tripmeter A, there's tripmeter B, there's the distance you
can drive to your tank's empty, the average consumption of
liters per hundred kilometer that's the outside temperature, the
service reminder in terms of distance left this is the service reminder in
terms of your months left and the overall odometer since day one of your car until now
it tells you how much you've driven so yeah that's about it for
instrument gauges. Moving on you have the signal store on your right hand side of
this car right in this car you have this OneTouch signal where you just does this
the three signal the automatically comes out with the want a signal this car some
cars don't really have it some cars you have to hold it down for you to
continuously signal or just lock in place for this one you just have to tap
it once and the signal will blink three times so it's easier for you to change
lanes and you know it gives you the ease of driving also. Over on the signal
stalk you have your lights switch is the small light this is your low
beam right to activate high beam just flicking once and one more time to lock
in place and you can be indicated by these blue headlights logo right for you
to know if your lights are on as you can see by the green small light
it means your lights are on so you will know onion to drink a night drive that
your light is on and you don't need to worry about whether your light as we sit
on or not right to off your high beams same thing as what you did to on your
high beam clicking once then more time. Alright, that is how you lock
your high beam lights. Alright if you do not
want to lock your high beam lights, you just want to you know just flash at the
motorists that are coming across the past, just flick it one time that's enough
if you do too much too hard your light gets locked. You wouldn't if you forget no
notice about that you're just going to blind about other motorists on the other
side of the road which is not so good right safety tip take note. This car also
has the fog lights while in the normal or low beam just flick the switch up and
you will be indicated by the fog light logo on the top right hand corner of the
instrument panel as you see right there. To switch it back off just off you know
just flick it down but the other way for you to do that it's also you can
just off the whole light and everything will be off so you don't need to worry about
switching it off separately. This cars does not have separate fog lights meaning, let's
say your lights off and you want on your fog lights, nope this car doesn't really do it
you have to on your light for you to on your fog lights also once you off
your whole light, the fog lights also together off together. On the left hand side of your steering
wheel you have your wiper stalk this switch here is for you to change the
speed of your wipers as your go, as your speed increases so let's say above
60 you put in the topmost switch, your wipers will go continuously right so
now you have as you can see here at the different modes of your switch you flick
it up for the wiper to just go up once or you can you can example just
flick it up for your wiper to go up once the longer you hold the wipe will go faster
right then you have your normal, off, your intermittent where you can control
your this speed as the speed increases. You have the low and the high. right you
pull your stick in to get your spray water spray going and your wiper will
automatically wipe for you as as usually as you can see on other cars
right so this is a climate control car okay on the left hand side you have the
temperature change, changing of temperature the minimum is 18 and maximum
is 32 degrees which is actually quite warm for the weather in Singapore
right now so I my preference is to set it to I'd say 20 you know ah keeping it cool
the car right so you have this cool button if you don't it to be so cold
you can just off the button you'll be quite warm air that's coming out. right these
two buttons as you can see here you have two different features, the one on this
side is for it to heat up your front window front windscreen let's see if
there's a quite an amount of mist build on your window you can use this for front
this is for your back the heating elements for your back right in this
case you have different modes for your face for your legs or just for legs
or even heating system for your legs actually. So we always prefer to put it on just
for our face right because we don't your legs to get too cold
these toggles whether you want the air to circulate inside your car or for it
to open up the duct outside so that the air from the outside will come in. I rather you put
it for it to circulate inside because the air outside can be quite dirty. You do
not want to smell the fumes that's coming out from other cars right this is for you to
totally off the air-con if you want to enjoy the nature and by putting down the windows
and you know you just don't want air-corn you can just off it. To on it back again just
toggle the fan speed right the fan speed can go up all the way
but it can be quite loud because the fan is running quite fast if you do one okay
let's say the day is quite hot, you don't want to manually switch it, press the auto
and it will automatically just increase the speed and depending on the temperature you set
it will increase the speed for you the lower you set, the cooler you set, the faster it
goes the hotter you set, the slower it goes. But I prefer to send it in or my own
cos I don't want the car to be so loud you know if you want to listen to the radio you have
on the radio even louder for that. right so this is the interface that came
together with this a car we had to pay a $1,000 for this interface during the
time that we bought it the models now that's been currently sold, the interface is
a bit different it's by different producers, by a different company
and the price is now included in the car price itself so I would say it's a
very good buy it's very useful because there's Bluetooth connectivity the base models
don't come with the interface this is for the a bit more expensive models I guess
right so in this case you have this radio when you go back to your home you
have your navigation, the CD you can put in, the 2 different USBs, one is here
another one is a plug in underneath the glove box
you have your volume controls over here also and your Bluetooth and your other
set up so you can just go on to like wallpaper, display, video all the others that we can do. OK.
one good thing about this interface is that while you are driving you are not
allowed to watch the video. If your video is running, the video sound will
be on but your interface will change to either radio interface or this home
screen inteface so that you will not be distracted while you're driving your car
alright so for this 2017 model you have these controls over here where you
can volume up volume down, change the channels between let's say if your on your
radio, you can change the different radio channels or you can swap different songs
when you plug in your USB all right the mode button in the center
would help you to toggle through either Radio, the USB that we've plugged in or
your Bluetooth right so I'll get back down on how to control this right okay
so you have these controls over here as I've said earlier okay you can do this
control let's see if I go to okay let's say now I'm in the home page I click
mode it brings me to the usb or if I click it again, it brings me
the video since my phone is not connected I can show you the Bluetooth
phone this car okay while in radio let's say you want to swap channels
using the left and right buttons you can't swap your radio channels so
you do not have to keep on touching the channels are getting again on the screen
itself okay for the newer models of the Attrage sold by Mitsubishi, together
with this you have your call on, like call buttons and this side, okay so you can
either hang your call or answer your call through these buttons why is that so on
the top in front of the light down here you have a microphone okay
this model doesn't have it by the new model sold by Mitsubishi they have a
microphone that enables you to do all these functions so for a car of this
price of this caliber I would say it is quite good they are quite good features
I would say that are installed in this car which is actually a good buy for those so looking for
cheap cars okay so this price and stuff I will be getting to you all about it on
near the end of this video so be sure to stay tuned all the way

most of the lights in this car are all halogen. Your headlights, front
indicators, the front fog lights, your taillights, your reverse lights and also
your red indicators the only two LED lights in this car
are the indicators found in your side mirror and this LED high mount rear lamp
which is also known as a third brake light which is found in the middle behind your
rear windscreen the Mitsubishi Attrage in Singapore does not come with
daytime running lights also known as DRL. This silver chrome areas you see is
used as a DRL straight up for the market in Thailand for example you can go ahead
and check out the upside so I asked LTA and cycle and carriage if I can fit in
aftermarket URL into my Attrage. So the first reply is from LTA the second is
from C&C.
This car uses automatic transmission it uses an INVECS 3 CVT gearbox the CVT can
seamlessly provide powers without shifting when driving up an hill, so it's
said to be much better than a normal automatic transmission where you may need to shift
down to a 1 or 2 when you want to go up an hill. This car also has a reverse
camera so once you put in Reverse you're in the touchscreen display turns into
the reverse camera so you can easily just reverse into a lot without you know
alright okay I mean you still can use your side mirrors but you know this
makes it a bit easier for you to reverse into a lot
see that's it you have the three lines as you can see the red green and yellow
for you to gauge the distance of your car to the end of the barrier
this car comes with 15 inch alloy wheels for front and back with bridgestone
potenza s001 tyres out of the factory. The tire size for all four tires is 185 by
55 r15 the impressive thing in this car is that
it's turning radius is 4.8m, so you can turn easily in tight spots
better than most of the cars in its category in the front it uses this
brakes and drum brakes at the back that's nothing fancy about the
suspensions it just uses McPherson struts in the front and torsobeams at the back
so let's talk about the dimensions of the car it's at 4245 by 1670
by 1515 with a wheelbase of 2550 mm so it's easy to note the corners of
this car with this size and wheelbase this is a compact car with a spacious interior
the kerb weight, meaning the weight of the car with no occupants no cargo with
nothing it's just under ton at 940 kilograms now let's talk about the
colors of the car this car and 7 color options they come up from factories of
you can review these colors in Mitsubishicars.com.sg, when we scroll
down under Mitsubishi attrage you see this picture with the seven colors
posted as below they are wine red pearl, white pearl, cool silver metallic,
titanium grey metallic, medium blue mica, red metallic and black mica.The color of
this car is in this video is cool silver metallic
all right so now be showing you the three way adjustment for the driver seat you take
a look at this side you have your recline panel the lever so you can pull
up to recline the seat front or move it to the back this bar over here is a manual
adjustment of your seat to move it front or to move it to the back once you move
to your preferred location just let it go the seat will lock itself the last
one is for your driving seat adjustment the height of the seat this is to adjust
so that you can adjust the height between the difference of height between
the steering wheel and your knee. You do not want your knee to touch the steering wheel so
cause your give you the difficulty of maneuvering the steering wheel and next
adjustment of ease of the steering wheel it's a lever on the left side of the steering
wheel you pull it down you can adjust the height of the steering wheel to your own
comfortability for my preference and i'll put it to the
maximum and the seat adjustments will be done soon so that i can show you the
legroom of the backseat before that I will adjust to my preference so that i can show
you how much space you have at the backseat catch you later
alright guys I've adjusted the front seat to my preference okay just mind that my
height is around 1.88 meters so that's how much space I have allocated
in front so go to the back
you can see for my height we can see how much leg room
I have right now it's quite comfortable for people around my height you can see
that you can feel that you have enough leg room for yourself so those who are
shorter than me you will have even more leg room for yourself to enjoy at the back
okay for the head room you can see them and I'm sitting straight there is not much
headroom I would say around this high only so you might have a small problem for
the head room but the leg room matters most right so for a car of this this
space with a wheelbase of around 2.5 meters I can say that it's very
comfortable and spacious place inside here for you to sit in and enjoy
chit-chatting or while having a long drive talking about long drives if you're
taking a drive to let's say Melaka of JB or KL for instance you're going from
Singapore this amount of legroom and this gracious space at the back we can
easily fit three people enough for you you don't have to squeeze in like some
other smaller cars okay okay when you come in to see down here, you have even more
storage spaces, one cup holder down here, 2 more cup holders for you and an arm rest 2 in 1
one all right] you have even more storage spaces in the front for you
to enjoy back pockets you see that you have already a lot of stuff here you can
see there's a seat pocket in the back of the front passenger
there are also two other ways to open your boot one is very key click it two
times the boot open the other method is by going to this button over here just
press it and your boot opens okay the Attrage boot has 450 litres of boot space
you see how quite spacious is it in here
yes just some umbrellas that we keep inside a car other than that you can see
they can keep at least two big luggages for a good trip up to KL for instance if
you're going from Singapore you know so this one good thing about the Attrage
although the car size is not so big you get a spacious boot so this car comes
with a spare tire which you can find under the boot, the boot cover actually.
so this is a spare tire but the cable the season Center is does not come with
the car unfortunately we bought it separately just for emergency purposes
you know it's a good thing to have in your car just so if your car was to stop in
the middle road with no battery or anything you can use this to restart
with a help of another car actually. In the packet that you see beside these tools let me
get it out for you the tools for you to repair your tires so you see these are
the tools for you to repair tires it comes together the kind this fortunately
so with this you can just is easy you know for you to actually repair your
tires in the middle of the road or not really middle but in the road shoulder for
example if you can do it on your own
okay guys so let's say your key runs out of battery so you can't unlock the door
using the key or the button that's on the driver side so you have to go to the
passenger side take out the key unlock the door using the key, come over to
this side put the key into this slot over here I'm not sure if you can see ah
you can see this slot just slot in the key once the car recognizes your key is in
there, you can go ahead and start the engine
You can drive off as normal and you can go to any shops to repair your key
battery and you're good to go again.
right so now you see the features of this car
how good it can get all the interesting facts of this car, inside outside
the interior, the gauges and stuff.the only difference between this and the newer models is
that now that the newer models have sports trim, sports body package front skirts, side skirts, rear bumper, small boot lid spoiler and
stuff, the newer touch screen interface, mike for you to answer calls, other than
that this car is pretty much similar to the newer models.
Price range depending on COE now is currently around 77,000 I would say
for the basic trim package the sports trim is around 79,000 I would say
its a good buy. cos you get a good fuel efficiency.
you get a good mileage you get a good legroom, headroom.
