That's the audacious claim of infamous Arsenal fan and television presenter Piers Morgan.
Salah scored again in the Reds' 4-1 defeat of West Ham at Anfield yesterday.
The Egyptian's goal was his 31st of the season – equalling the best that Luis Suarez
ever achieved in a season while with Liverpool.
Henry's most prolific Premier League season for Arsenal came in 2003/04 when they went
undefeated.
The former France international bagged 30 goals in 37 games that year and then 52 over
the following two seasons.
Salah set his own record yesterday when he became the first player to score 20 goals
in a Premier League season with his left foot.
Morgan tweeted: "Mo Salah's the best player in the Premier League since Thierry Henry."
The controversial figure's claim has been hotly disputed by Manchester United and Chelsea
fans on social media however.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored 31 times in the Red Devils' 2007/08 campaign.
One fan Tweeted: "Ronaldo also won 3 premier league titles in a row, a champions league
& scored 42 goals in a season.
"Until Salah does that don't ever compare the two…"
And Blues legend Didier Drogba was just one strike shy of netting 30 goals two years later.
Spurs star Harry Kane has top-scored for the last two seasons, finding the back of the
net 25 and 29 times.
The England international currently sits level with Salah on 23 goals in the Premier League
season.
Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool are back in action on Saturday as they host a struggling Newcastle
side.
