Trump to Mexico: It would be very smart to stop caravans before border - Daily News - Duration: 11:16.

and said there would be 'no crossings!''Would be very SMART if Mexico would stop the Caravans long before they get to our Southern Border, or if originating countries would not let them form (it is a way they get certain people out of their country and dump in U

S. No longer). Dems created this problem. No crossings!,' he wrote. His tweet comes after Mexican officials said there was 'no agreement of any type' between its Government and the United States that will require asylum seekers to wait in the country while their claims move through U

S. courts. Olga Sanchez Cordero, the top domestic policy official for president-elect Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador who takes office on December 1, ruled out that Mexico would be declared a 'safe third country' for asylum claimants

This followed a Washington Post report of a deal with the Trump administration known as 'Remain in Mexico,' which quoted her calling it a 'short-term solution

'The plan, according to the newspaper, foresees migrants staying in Mexico while their asylum claims in the United States are being processed, potentially ending a system President Donald Trump decries as 'catch and release' that has until now often allowed those seeking refuge to wait on safer US soil

The latest developments came as the situation at the border continued to worsen and many were trying to cross the border by any means necessary

This included a young migrant mother who was injured after trying to climb a part of the border fence with her two small children on Friday

Border Patrol agent Tekae Michael says the 26-year-old Guatemalan woman fell near the San Ysidro Port of Entry Friday night and landed on pieces of rebar that pierced one side of her body

Paramedics took her to a hospital for treatment. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports the children, ages 3 and 5, were not hurt

The woman told agents she was not part of the migrant caravan that traveled from Central America to the Mexican border city of Tijuana

Meanwhile Donald Trump said defiantly threatened to close the Southern border again 'if it becomes necessary' and insisted migrants will only be allowed to enter if their asylum application is approved

He tweeted: 'Migrants at the Southern Border will not be allowed into the United States until their claims are individually approved in court

We only will allow those who come into our Country legally. Other than that our very strong policy is Catch and Detain

No 'Releasing' into the U.S.'All will stay in Mexico. If for any reason it becomes necessary, we will CLOSE our Southern Border

There is no way that the United States will, after decades of abuse, put up with this costly and dangerous situation anymore!'The rebar is part of ongoing work to replace decades-old fencing

It's not related to the American military's recent mission to fortify the fence in response to the caravan

Her children were also evaluated at the hospital for potential fall trauma and, showing no injuries, were released back to Border Patrol custody

'Entering our country illegally, particularly over our walls is not only dangerous, but also very foolish,' San Diego's Chief Border Patrol Agent Rodney Scott told the San Diego Tribune

'This woman placed her own life and her children's lives in peril. She could have easily died if not for the quick response by our agents and EMS'

Share this article Share Authorities said the rebar was part of the ongoing border fence construction and not related to the military's recent mission to fortify the fence in response to the caravan

The military has primarily been stringing concertina wire across the top of the fence

It was unclear if there was concertina wire where the woman crossed.Thousands of migrants, who have traveled thousands of miles to flee their countries in Central America, have been staying at a makeshift shelter in the which the municipal government opened last Wednesday

Originally planned to hold 3,000 migrants, the latest arrivals have put the shelter over capacity

On Thursday, Tijauana's Mayor Juan Manuel Gastelum declared an international humanitarian crisis over the arrival of more than 5,000 mostly Central American migrants traveling in a caravan

Gastelum asked international organizations like the United Nations to help the city deal with the influx of migrants, amid a lagging response from the Mexican federal government

He accused the Mexican Government of neglecting its responsibilities to deal with migrant and immigration issues

Gastelum vowed not to commit the city's public resources to dealing with the situation

On Thursday, his government issued a statement saying that it was requesting help from the UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs

Meanwhile an investigation by the Miami Herald revealed that the political violence in Honduras, which has contributed to an exodus of migrants, was sometimes carried out with US made weapons used by the government's paramilitary force

The Honduran military police should not possess US-made rifles sold under private arms licensing agreements, according to the State Department

Alejandra Martínez, who is now part of the migrant caravan, was targeted by a gang in Honduras who opened fire on him and a group of his friends

'We know that the guns come from the United States," Martínez told the Miami Herald at the time of the bloodshed

'These guns have no business in Honduras. They should stay in the United States. They are sending them to Honduras to kill us'

More than a dozen people were shot and killed by the military police in the post-election violence, including several children, according to United Nations investigators

More than 30 were wounded by the paramilitary unit, a repressive force that answers directly to the Honduran president

The migrant caravan that left Honduras in mid-October was mostly well received by the towns it passed through along the way to the border

Even cities with few resources made sure the migrants had food and a place to rest

But in those places, the caravan stayed at most two nights with the exception of Mexico City

In Tijuana, many of the migrants who are fleeing violence and poverty are seeking asylum in the United States and face the prospect of spending months in the border city before they have the opportunity to speak with a US official

Gastelum said Friday that the Mexican government has talked about sending 20 tons of resources to Tijuana to help but that three-fourths consisted of materials to reinforce the border and only 5 tons were for the migrants

The mayor also criticized the federal government for not taking more seriously President Donald Trump's threat Thursday to shut down the border if his administration determined Mexico had lost 'control' of the situation in Tijuana

'That's serious', he said. Donald Trump said the US shut down its border with Mexico because it's 'out of control' but he didn't elaborate on the details in his comments on Thursday

Asked in detail what he meant by closing the US Southern border, Trump responded: 'I have already shut it down

I already shut it down for short periods.'I shut down parts of the border because it was out of control

With the rioting on the other side in Mexico. And I just said shut it down.'Meanwhile Mexico's incoming government denied a report Saturday that it plans to allow asylum-seekers to wait in the country while their claims move through US immigration courtsThis is one of several options the Trump administration has been pursuing in negotiations for months

'There is no agreement of any sort between the incoming Mexican government and the US government', future Interior Minister Olga Sanchez said in a statement

Hours earlier, The Washington Post quoted her as saying that the incoming administration of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador had agreed to allow migrants to stay in Mexico as a 'short-term solution' while the US considered their applications for asylum

Lopez Obrador will take office on December 1.The Washington Post reported Saturday that the administration of US President Donald Trump has won support from the Mexican president-elect's team for a plan dubbed 'Remain in Mexico'

The newspaper also quoted Sanchez as saying: 'For now, we have agreed to this policy of Remain in Mexico'

The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment.US officials have said for months that they were working with Mexico to find solutions for what they have called a border crisis

Julieta Vences, a congresswoman with Lopez Obrador's Morena party who is also president of Mexico's congressional migrant affairs commission, told AP that incoming Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard has been discussing with US officials how to handle a deluge of asylum claims at the border

'They're going to have to open the borders (for the migrants) to put in the request

They will also give us dates, on what terms they will receive the (asylum) requests and in the case that they are not beneficiaries of this status, they will have to return here,' Vences said

She spoke to the AP after a visit to the crowded sports complex in Tijuana.

Making Music and Sound Art with Smart Speakers - Singing With Machines - Duration: 5:19.

Today we have come to this really nice space in East London to have a hack-day

workshop where we're teaming up four artists and musicians with four

technologists from R&D and we've tasked everybody with finding something

interesting to do with smart speakers - things like Amazon Alexa, Google home -

that kind of explores their sonic and interaction possibilities as a

instrument or as an interactive sound device of some sort.

It's my first time working with something like this. The idea I had was to be able to do a

kind of duo with an Alexa and to have some sounds coming from from the devices

and some sounds coming from me.

"This is Spencer from BBC Blue Room.

He is trying to make me musical, the poor deluded fool."

Well I came in with some preconceptions and they're being smashed to pieces

I didn't realise there's certain limits about Alexa so that it'll only

play five audio files per interaction with a maximum of 90 seconds.

At the minute I'm going with using SSML and basically use the devices as a

voice sourc or synth kind of thing getting it to sort of speak in tongues a bit, I suppose.

We sort of trying to interfere with Alexa to try and get her to have a

conversation with herself. Today I'm trying to build a voice-activated looper

drum sequencer, so that you can go and say Alexa and a drum track that goes

1 1 2 2 1 1 2.

"Here goes."

(1 1 2 2 1 1 2 drumbeat)

So right now we're we're trolling through APIs trying to look

at exactly what parts of the components of similar systems, similar forms of

algorithmic surveillance and text analysis can we as practitioners pull at

and expose in order to get a bit of a closer view on the way these

technologies are actually functioning.

The collaboration is really important, being exposed to people who work in a different way to

you and have different different ideas about what they want to achieve is

really really really important.

With a musician it's like, well it's a speaker, does it actually have to sit on a desk

It makes you makes you think about it as a different device and different

potential for interacting with.

We've got another 45 minutes of getting stuff

ready then we're gonna have a little break and we're gonna do a little kind

of relaxed performance of everything we've come up with but hopefully we'll

get to see some interesting stuff.

Echo, tell the audience we're ready.

"We're ready."

"Graham, bring in the hi-hats."

(Hi-hats play)

"A song? I'd love to!" (Alexa sings)

"Welcome to MC Lexi. I say Boom and you say Bap."

(Thudding noise)

Bap.

(Thudding noise)

Boom.

So our intention here was to

expose some of stuff that's happening in that pause between you talk into the

device and the device talking to you.

"Alexa, are you capable of love?"

"There are people I admire and things I can't do without, but I'm still trying to figure out human love."

(Samples of music play)

"Illogical"

"Cosmology"

"And politics."

Stop.

"Funky yeah."

I think we've learned learnt loads about different ways

of approaching this type of work that even if it's not necessarily for for musical

things there's tons we can learn for everything else we do with these devices.

Well I think I think like anything the limitations can be strengths and it's trying to find

that sort of sweet spot really.

To get going it really took quite a while and then some

of the technical limitations also ... yes they're forcing you to be a little more creative.

What I didn't really appreciate properly until I started doing such

collaborations with them is that their remit towards the public really changes

what their view is on like what a good product is or what a good output for all

these kind of things are because they really have a real social engagement with what they do.

So out of today we're going to take the work

that everyone's been working on we're going to we're going to use it to

lead the creative conversation around what are the kinds of things should we be doing with voice.

Men's Smart Casual / High End Outfits For Autumn & Winter | Semi Formal Fashion Ideas | FW18 - Duration: 7:17.

good afternoon gentlemen I'm Ollie Pearce welcome to my youtube channel

before I get going and be sure to subscribe like and leave us a comment

today we are looking at men's smart casual heading towards smart autumnal

that's fall for the Americans we're gonna be looking at a few of our kind of

favorite winter full autumn men's smart casual edging towards the smart end of

the scale looks right so check out one wearing all right let's start with the

shoes then we've got a pair of leather shoes I believe these are Derby shoes a

little pattern on the toe the brogue pattern if I'm getting that wrong you

get the idea you can wear these the TAM brogue or an Oxford shoe or just a plain

smart leather shoe then we've got plain skinny jeans faded dark blue navy stand

the jeans really skinny coming up into the waistcoat as we call it in the UK or

the vest so got a light gray check on it and then we've got the red tie to set

off the Christmas Eve I've and this whole kind of genteel look for me is

very Christmas very smart casual casual high-end English British gents tile

right I love that at Christmas and all these layers is quite nice and

warm I've got a t-shirt on as well that'll keep me warm as well so on top

we've got the beige long overcoats okay all of these things are purchased this

week in the UK just copy the ideas this would work really well in a grey or a

navy as well but just to show you how the strength of the sort of checked

waist cut underneath and of course the red tie doesn't even need to be a skinny

tie normal tie Christmassy smart casual businessman kind of vibe to this right

not businessman sort of you know entrepreneurial alright you could easily

wear this just as a day look on a Saturday it's a smart casual style then

we could top it off a couple of extra bits my grandad cap I think these look

especially cool on younger guys because they are flat caps grandad caps and then

finally we have a pair of imitation aviators so that I'd be the look very

guy Ritchie you know who he is one of Madonna ex husband

right who cares I am alright so just kind of look about them so just the

glasses I know nicely you can imagine yourself walking in that strong sunshine

on a sort of morning somewhere in the city feeling very dapper and genteel

in this look ok so that's our first variation of this one I'm just going to

switch this jacket we're going to show you another variation very quickly ok so

now we've just switched the beige overcoat for this tweed navy blue jacket

so this is tweed the material ok you don't need to match the blazer to the

waistcoat so the great shape of the dark blue on top I actually think that's

better than say it was a matching gray blazer I love this look again the colors

are very sort of awesome wintery dark blue the tweed is thick the red

Christmas attire and matching pockets of air works nicely and as was the case

with the first look with the overcoat the jeans

makes it clear that it's a casual look the skinny blue jeans but faded and then

we've got this belt as well belts matching with the brown of the

shoes again showing you a trendy guy and the belt was also casual we could rack

on our imitation aviators again and you've got a real entrepreneurial

successful man about town this one some of the variation there

try that one okay so our second little piece which we love this time of year is

a kind of wool or cashmere jumper instead of a waistcoat it's gonna add

extra layers for the winter face which give that kind of full textured layered

look and also keeps a bit warmer so all the colors we use to kind of autumn

colors from the beige overcoat or the blue tweed blazer the heavy gray check

on the waistcoat the red ties so now this is no different we've got this kind

of burgundy maroon jumper are also very full or eat your thumb no matter there's

two Reds they look good together they're brighter more Christmasy red and then

this maroon one and the maroon is also on there even though this and

these are actually a matching set it all goes well together the colors that's

another variation we keep you a bit warmer very genteel again to a little

pocket up there stay right there

then finally we've got the same first look the beige overcoat with the pull

over instead of the waistcoat and the tie so basically this is kind of a

variation on that autumn vibe the layering instead of the waistcoat has to

be in a maroon either green navy blue dark green a beige gray this is a really

nice color for this kind of season and always a favorite of mine for men's

fashion and get a bit of color by being too bright finally you see that works

really well this is the kind of look I see someone do really well in

advertising on the music industries of somebody who is in a very cool industry

but still very sort of high-end looking trendy noses fashion so it congruent

with the smart mature entrepreneurial man in the arts but not actually the

artist working behind the scenes so that's what that says to me smart casual

city site successful and with the little jumper probably actually be easiest as

well some guys won't want to be wearing a waistcoat when it's a date and they

look for this one if you don't have to wear a suit the office absolutely

perfect hit the office like this have that client lunch looking great chat

some hot chicks on the way home it's an all-in-one look you can't beat it you

can literally wear this to a client meeting you have that kind of job or on

a date it's going to smash either of those scenarios and now just one more

time is for these bad boys on all right I'm going to now go and do something

very boring and un affluent probably like cleaning my house or other spending

hours speaking of girls on tinder anyway we sort subscribe like and leave

us a comment many more fashion videos coming very soon thank you very much

peace
