Auto news on Youtube Jul 3 2018

I am always cruising around here on the weekend, because it's like a vacation for me.

Getting out on a Friday evening - out of this big city urban jungle with all this traffic.

You can chill out here and ride on all these marvelous country roads

- this makes me happy.

My name is Sebastian Wolff, I'm running a 1958 Porsche 356 A 1600 S.

The most beautiful design elements for me are the round fenders,

the position of the headlights,

the A-pillar with its extension to the roof and the elegant swing to the rear.

Just great!

Such a 356's has its very own sounds,

that clicking of the doors and bonnet,

the smell ... that's what is fascinating me.

If you kick the pedal and the four cylinders are on speed, the carburettor screaming ...

it's just music to my ears, and especially with the 1600 S there's something going on ...

this is not a slow car.

This is a real sports car!

In principle, it is a wonderful simple car, a great bodywork from Reuter,

sporty seats, a few round instruments, a steering wheel, 4 gears - that's all you need to have fun!

The car has been back in Germany for over 15 years and spent most of its life in sunny California.

That's why it has never been completely restored, only repaired and maintained.

Of course, the engine and transmission have matching numbers.

One of the reasons why I bought the car was because of the color in combination with its red interior.

It is "Meissen blue" in reference to this legendary, royal, porcelain manufactory in Meissen.

Porsche DNA has always been racing, reliable functionality and speed.

In a 356 S, especially the A model, it is also the design.

And it is exactly this combination that makes this car so perfect to me.

In faster corners you have to be a bit careful, if you push too hard, it will bite you,

if you do it harmoniously you can really enjoy the sportiness of this car.

I've driven many Porsche, but, nevertheless, I'm not an outspoken Porsche expert,

nor a theoretician who knows every detail or number.

Well, with this car I just like the design and how it drives, that's something very special.

When I hit the road in my car, I feel so incredibly independent:

Unplugged,

no wifi, no network

nothing else matters...

My New Porsche GT3 - Supercar or Not?! - Duration: 7:30.

This is Watch Your Style.

Right now I'm on the way to finally go pick up my new car.

After a lot of patience and waiting for the right one drop at the right price, the moment

has come.

So, pretty exciting.

Can't wait!

[music]

After a week, I finally get to see the car outside, a whole week at just looking at the

car inside of a warehouse like right next to a bunch of like other cars.

This is actually the first time I see the car in the sun.

Ahhh damn!

I can't tell you how hard it was to find a white GT3, low miles, the gloss black wheel

was actually just like an added kick because I didn't even need to have that, but when

I saw it I was like, damn, this [bleep] looks [bleep] amazing.

It looks even better.

[opening door]

I actually I bought a car that this is the first time I sit in it.

Oh yeah!

[music]

Real good!

AP 44 rose gold.

[drives away]

So you know, so finally I get the car.

I just never really been the type to let dreams go to waste.

You can't get desperate and you can't force things, but if you do the right planning and

wait then your patience...what's meant to be will happen and the right one will fall

for you.

Part of the reason that I chose the GT3 was because of value retention.

The Porsche GT3 holds more value than the Carrera or the Carrera S or the Turbo.

So I try to buy everything like if it was almost like a watch.

I always think about the resale and stuff like that.

And instead of getting a Carrera S and putting wheels on it and dropping it, the GT3 already

comes with all of that.

Pretty much I bought this car because of the engine and the transmission.

I mean, I would have taken the most basic one possible, but I really bought just because

of the PDK Sport Transmission and the tricked out 3.8 that revs 9000 rpms.

Am I gonna track this car?

No.

Do really care that it rides a little bit rough?

No.

I'm actually encouraged that it's a little bit loud.

I didn't want a touring car.

I wanted something that was kind of aggressive and special, so finally.

I mean, honestly I'm trying to contain the excitement here and just record this video

like I've been driving this for three years, but I really just can't wait to sit down and

start pushing every single little button it has and trying to figure out the do's and

the don'ts, but nevertheless I'm very satisfied with the whole deal with the guys at the Garage.

Eddie and Eddie Junior at the Garage Miami really took care of me and walked me through

the whole process and the right car...it was the right car for me at the end.

It had the right options, the right price and it just talks to me, kind of like the

watches sometimes.

Watches don't really...but this one kind of did.

It all just happened very natural and everything fell into place.

The car overall rides a little rough, but hey then again, any car that looks bad-ass

and has like low pros is gonna ride pretty rough, you know?

So as far as the performance goes, I mean it gets down!

I'm not really into racing.

I'm not gonna be racing people, but I will be having some fun with this car.

It's got all these little buttons, which I can't wait to play with, starting with the

the exhaust one.

[exhaust getting louder]

The second I hit those buttons, the car already kind of transforms and we're gonna get a little

bit on it right now as you can see.

[acceleration sound]

You know, that's about all I need.

I don't need to get that crazy with it.

But yeah man.

Let's turn this thing off because it just gets crazy.

I didn't realize that.

It completely transforms.

Right now, I have it like at granpa status without it.

When you hit those three buttons, it just complete changes.

Another main reason why I bought the Porsche GT3 is that, it's kind of like the cheapest

supercar that you can daily drive, whereas like everything else you can't daily drive

and also puts you in this higher price bracket.

I did a lot of research and study on them and I just can't see a car that gets more

performance, more looks, more driveability and more value retention than the GT3.

At a price range from $115k to $135k, I just can't see...even a little more, from $115k

to $145k, I just can't see a car that gives you more than this.

And Porsches are hard man.

You could ride these things, they take the abuse.

They're German engineered, the fit is perfect, everything about it is flawless victory and

overall, I'm super excited.

You'll be seeing it more and more throughout this video series.

Every now and then you'll see this car.

Currently, what I also have is a 67 Chevelle SS muscle car.

I'm into the classics.

When it comes to the European, the fast cars, I've always been a fan of Porsche.

Ferrari, yeah who doesn't like Ferrari, but I've always been more of a Porsche guy.

Quite frankly so.

Glad you got to see this all happen.

Though it just so happens that I have today an AP 44 rose gold to pick up this car today

and it's funny because it kind of goes good here.

We got the black and rose, black and rose.

You know that emblem is almost like a rose.

Kind of fits perfect.

I feel like an AP is actually the right watch for a Porsche.

I always try to like pair watches with like a car brand, and I feel like AP goes perfect

with Porsche.

Good watch man.

I kind of wish I had the Carbon right now.

I think my Carbon is the correct watch for this car, but overall it's just been an amazing

experience.

✅ August 1978: Porsche 911SC Targa review - Duration: 1:29.

By 1978, the Porsche 911 had moved into the SC generation, displacing a full 3 liters from its air-cooled flat-six

Even then it was old, as Cory Farley notes in this review of the Targa model . imagine if he'd have known it would soldier on in roughly the same form for nearly another decade
