Smart Seismic Floor System - Duration: 3:23.

hello I'm going to present a smart seismic floor system for monitoring

person and tracking the person inside an apartment also for detecting fall downs

and calculate its location. In my dashboard, I am going to show you

the events generated by my footsteps on the left side and the event generated

by fall downs and its location in the right side

let me start the demonstration now I am generating seismic events these

events are sensed by my sensors. The sensors detect the events and calculate the

location of them. These events, as we can see, the location in the dashboard, this part

of the dashboard. But what is the main purpose of this system, it is the fall down

location. How about if someone fall down, the system detects the fall down and

detects its location this will be shown here.

I fell down and generated a event, but I forget bring my phone or my device to

ask for help for example calling my wife, but this is not a

problem for my system because my system detects the event, classifies the event as

a fall down and sends a message to a smart device. "Emergency: Jose fell down on the 6th"

"room, do you want to call 9-1-1?". In this moment I am okay you, I don't have any injury I'm

going to say: "hey Google I am okay", "I'm glad to hear it", but in this moment I can

send a message, an email, or even call someone asking for help. Every day

we generate different kind of seismic events for example, how about I am drinking

water and I drop the bottle. This is seismic event. jumping is.. generates seismic event

this one is also a seismic event. This one, this one... also I drop a hammer, for example, this generates a seismic event

But any of these events are classified as fall down. Let me do the

final demonstration. How about if I fall down in another location

this was the first event

my system will recognize the event as a fall, send an alert, and show the new events

"Emergency, Jose fell down on the 6th floor room, do you want call 9-1-1?" This is end of my demonstration thank you

The ridiculously simple SM124 Smart Magnetometer I²C interface - Duration: 1:42.

Hello.

We're demonstrating the elegant I²C interface

for the SM124 Smart Magnetometer.

We're using an Arduino Micro as an I²C master,

and Realterm freeware to monitor data from the Arduino.

The sensor is in this socket...

We've set a 10 oersted threshold.

The LED shows the sensor's digital threshold output.

In turns on here.

Then we changed the threshold to one oersted...

And, as expected, it operates much farther away.

Here's the Arduino program

to write parameters

and read data.

There's not much to it, since everything's a single byte,

and its memory-centric architecture eliminates the need for any commands.

So we've seen that the SM124 smart sensor:

• has a ridiculously simple I²C interface,

• with no waiting for data;

• no concatenation needed;

• no set-up commands,

• in fact, no commands at all;

• and no error handling required.
