2019 BMW X7 | 2018 LA Auto Show - Duration: 1:38.

Hey everybody, I'm Megan with CarGurus, and I'm at the LA Auto Show, standing next

to the 2019 BMW X7.

The first thing you'll notice about the X7 is the kidney grille; it's the largest

to date, making it the biggest one BMW has designed.

You'll also notice that the X7 is long.

It's 10 inches longer than the X5, to make way for a third row.

You have two engine options.

The first is a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, which offers 330 horsepower, or there's

the 4.4-liter V8, which offers a sizeable 450.

You'll get an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive standard.

And that transmission, it works with the navigation system to scan the road ahead and adapt accordingly.

By ensuring you're in the right gear at all times, it will optimize gas mileage.

Inside, you'll get luxurious touches like a panoramic LED roof.

And while you can use it as a functional moonroof, you can also choose one of 15,000 color combinations

to mimic stars in the night sky.

It's an ultraluxe touch inspired by Rolls-Royce, whose cars run three times the price of an

X7.

Even though the BMW X7 is a debut, it already has competitors in the market, like the Lincoln

Navigator and the Mercedes Benz GLS-Class.

Pricing starts at $74,000, and for $94,000 you can get the bigger engine.

You can pre-order it on BMW's site or wait to see it on dealer lots next year.
