We started with the standard CB300 like you see in the catalogue.
And now it's got a more rugged, off-road, kinda feel to it, a little military, a little stealth.
The colours I thought they were going to clash a lot, but they seem to really work well together.
It's kind of a colour scheme the military uses on some of the planes.
It looks good, I don't want to change it.
So, I started with handlebars. We went basically same diameter bars, a little bit wider.
Clutch levers we just did adjustable clutch and brake levers.
Grips, we did that, just more of a dirt bike style grip as opposed to the standard ones that come on it.
We did kind of some real basic clean guards and they're adjustable as well.
We did a pad on the bars, that you can have a cell phone mount on.
We did front and rear tire, instead of like a street tire they're more of a dual purpose,
a lot more knobby, a little more aggressive.
Front mounted camera and rear mounted camera,
so you can get action shots going forward and then action shots of people behind you.
And then just did final touches at the end,
like I did the Optimate charger from Honda, we did tank pad, and that was it.
We basically just buttoned it up and now we're done.
So I want to give a big thanks to my dealership Scona Cycle in Edmonton Alberta,
the ownership group, and the rest of the staff that helped me actually design the bike,
helped me pick out parts, I'm really proud of it.
So I started with a bone stock CRF450L, and we changed it into a SuperMoto version.
When the build began the first thing I tackled was the wheels and tires.
Got a set of 17 inch Excel SuperMoto wheels
and wrapped them in a set of Bridgestone tires for the street.
A few things along with that are the Renthal sprocket on the back.
Just kind of changed gearing slightly and make it a little more pop-ey.
We did a set of handlebars, so they are Renthal fat bars.
So the bars are back a little bit.
And a little different location, and then they're fat bars so they get rid of the crossbar in the middle.
After that we added in a trail-tech display unit, it's got a built in GPS,
you have it right on the bike, it's mounted right by the original gauge.
So I'd like to thank Riverside Honda for the opportunity and all the help that it took to get here.
Really good people behind me and I'd like to thank them for that.
I hope they are proud of what we were able to accomplish here.
I really enjoyed the contest, and building the bike was fun,
meeting a bunch of new people, it's been a really good time.
So with the Goldwing we decided to go with the base model,
and I really like the way the bike looks from factory, so we didn't want to alter it too much.
We gave it a lot of things that most consumers are going to want on their Goldwing.
And we added some other features that kind of give it a little flair, and a little pizazz.
So, first of all, I installed the fog lamp kit on the Goldwing,
and I installed the rear speaker kit, and an amplifier for the stereo,
and that required the front speakers to be replaced as well.
I installed Lizard Lights from Kuryakyn. I put on in total 8 Lizard lights all the way around the bike.
The Lizard Lights that we installed have about 10 different colours you can choose from,
and they can be flashing, or they can be constant.
And the flash we can adjust how quickly it flashes or how slowly it flashes.
I installed a voltage reader, so you can, you know when people put a lot of accessories on their bikes,
they can know that the charging system's in good health.
So, I'd like to thank my dealer Snow City Cycle Marine for allowing me to come here,
they gave me the time off work, and gave me the opportunity to be apart of this group of builds.
I feel privileged to be able to be apart of this.
So I'd like to invite everybody out to all motorcycle show across Canada,
come check out these bikes that everybody has built, they're pretty amazing, and come vote for mine.
I hope you guys come to the motorcycle show,
and vote for my motorcycle I worked really hard on it and I hope it works out.
I hope to see you guys at the motorcycle show, I'll be at least at the Edmonton one,
go to your local show cast a vote for any of the six bikes, hopefully mine,
but at least come out take a look at them, they're all pretty cool.
