Canada's 2019 Nissan Altima Gets Standard AWD But Not The VC-Turbo Engine - Duration: 2:26.The all-new 2019 Altima comes equipped with all-wheel drive as standard in Canada
That's not entirely due to the country's proverbial cold climate, however.Nissan Canada is hoping the 2019 Altima will provide an alternative to crossovers and SUVs, in addition to luring buyers who want all-wheel drive but prefer a more traditional sedan
In the United States, the new Altima offers all-wheel drive as an option."We really wanted to make the Altima stand out in the segment, so we decided to make it standard across all models," Nissan Canada's deputy general manager Brent Smith explained to Automotive News Canada
The executive added that Canadian consumers see AWD as an increasingly important purchase decision
While Nissan hopes the AWD Altima will steal sales from crossovers and SUVs, it doesn't worry about the sedan cannibalizing sales from its own crossovers
According to Smith, the bulk of sales will be conquests from rival sedans and crossovers, particularly among buyers who choose a crossover only to get AWD
Obviously, the new Altima is also expected to attract previous Altima buyers.Interestingly, none of the Altima's main competitors, which include the Toyota Camry, Mazda6, Chevrolet Malibu and Honda Accord, offer all-wheel drive
The only sedan in the segment that comes with standard AWD is the Subaru Legacy.Unlike the United States, however, in Canada, the 2019 Altima doesn't offer the 2.0-liter VC-Turbo four-cylinder gasoline engine as an option, because it's not available with all-wheel drive
Instead, all Altima models sold in Canada feature the 188-hp 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder unit
The 2019 Nissan Altima starts at C$29,793 (including destination) in Canada, making it only slightly more expensive than its rivals

Speaking of hierarchy, the new Altima needs to beat the 2019 Toyota Camry if Nissan wants to claim the crown in this highly-contested segment that has been mostly a Japanese affair for many years now
As the segment's best-seller, the Camry is a tough nut to crack, especially with its redesign for the 2018 model year

As automakers embrace electric vehicles, the future looks increasingly bleak for fuel cell vehicles such as the Honda Clarity, Hyundai Nexo and Toyota Mirai
Despite this, the Hyundai Motor Group has unveiled a new long-term plan which embraces fuel cell vehicles and aims to "accelerate the development of a hydrogen society
" Called FCEV Vision 2030, the plan calls for Hyundai and Kia to become leaders in hydrogen technology and dramatically increase production of hydrogen fuel cells
The Hyundai Motor Group has ambitious plans and aims to produce 700,000 fuel cells annually by 2030
500,000 of them are destined for fuel cell vehicles, while the remaining 200,000 units are slated to be used in drones, forklifts and seafaring vessels
The company expects demand for fuel cell vehicles will significantly increase in the future to around 2 million units by 2030
In order to meet this anticipated demand, the Hyundai Motor Group and its suppliers will invest approximately $6.7(£5.3/ €5.9) billion into the research and development of fuel cells as well as the expansion of plants that build them
In a statement, Hyundai Motor Group executive vice chairman Euisun Chung said "We will expand our role beyond the automotive transportation sector and play a pivotal role in global society's transition to clean energy by helping make hydrogen an economically viable energy source
"He added, "We are confident that hydrogen power will transcend the transportation sector and become a leading global economic success
" It remains to be seen if fuel cell vehicles will become a success, but Hyundai announced plans to improve the fuel cell system that is used on the Nexo
The company also held a groundbreaking ceremony for its second fuel cell plant in South Korea
It will allow Hyundai Mobis to increase fuel cell production from 3,000 units annually to 40,000 units by 2022

Welcome everyone so I wanted to do a another use case video and this other
use case that I have is in regards to government contracting so government
contracts is something that I'm very familiar with. I'm very familiar with the
process of how governments pay contractors whether that be
subcontractors or prime contractors so depending on what organization that
you're working with if you're working with the Department of Defense or are
you working with the USDA, or you're working with the EPA if you win a contract with
these particular organizations first of all it's very convoluted process but the
payment structure it's usually like a Net 30 so you have a portal and you
basically invoice the government and they have 30 days to pay you from that
particular time and this is very difficult for small businesses so you
know they usually go and get some Small Business Administration loans or
third-party loans that are usually have some sort of interest tacked on to them
you know whether that's a few percentage points all the way to like 10%, 20 % it
depends on how lucrative the contract is and how much money you want for that
particular contract but it's usually a whole thing about that whole credit
dilemma you know it's hard to get a government contract unless you're ready
to really put your foot out there but if you're ready to put your foot out there
you may not have what it takes to actually put your foot out there so it's
sometimes a leap for a lot of these small businesses and the thing is
waiting that 30-day period it really ties up the liquidity so your business
is really a 1 faceted business it's like you've just focused on government
contracts you really can't spread your money elsewhere until you get paid in
that next cycle and the process repeats itself over the years you may
get added liquidity and that's going to allow you to expand your business, but it
takes a while. I was thinking about smart contracts in the use case of allowing
contracts to be broken down into pieces so say you are
doing a a certain contract an aviation contract or a janitorial contract for a
foreign organization so you're cleaning the buildings and you know
you're getting your supplies, you have your workers cleaning one floor,
another floor however you're structuring the contract and you know the
contract is probably for a year and instead of billing the company or
billing the government organization every month if the billing was
more automatic and you could set some kind of timetable okay the floors were
cleaned today or this was clean this was the percentage done is this you know I
accomplished 20% of the task and given to me today
You could put that on the blockchain and you can
automatically get those funds distributed in smaller pieces it would
allow for increased liquidity from both sides, so the government wouldn't have to
give you this lump sum after 30 days after the completion of the contract
they could give you little small pieces and the small business could receive
those little small pieces and correctly fund their workers without taking these
high interest predatory loans and they could automatically use that to
fund their business and they could use that to expand their business there's so
many different ways in which that added liquidity could allow
businesses to grow I mean there's such a constraint for small businesses to grow
it's hard it's difficult because it's there's so much to take that next step
to get to the next level you really need not only do you need your
foot in the door but you need to be able to have that cash flow growing, growing,
growing, growing, growing and you know like I sometimes think that it's
a giant collusion scheme because the government is doing that they want you
to take those high interest loans and then you have to go to the bank, open up
a line of credit, and the bank's love to give you a hard time with line of credit
you could say that you have a contract for X amount of dollars and
show the contract to the bank and they're still giving you X minus
ten of whatever you're asking for they're always giving you a hard time
always giving you less line of credit than you need even if you have the
contract in front of you it's like you need to prove yourself well how do I
prove myself if I can't take that step forward and
this is where smart contracts can take us to the next level, revolutionizing
small business you saw it on Marlowe. It's supposed to be for the institutions, the
mom and pops, I think it was called businesses and sons it's for those small
businesses to really increase their liquidity, really increase what they can
do their capabilities. This country is run on small and medium enterprises and
you know of course we have the behemoth enterprises but if we're really trying
to promote a healthy economy if we're really saying that we're all about small
business we're all about this I don't know American dream the idea that
someone can build their business and you know support their family it's not
necessarily about turning it into a large enterprise but this support
themselves you know and taking a high interest twenty percent loan to
get your first contract and taking twenty percent out of your family's
mouth when you are really trying to make it, it's not the right way to go so you
know I think that smart contracts could allow for more accountability it could
make this if you put the contract on the blockchain and you provide these
time tables okay this deliverable was met you get an automatic small payment
for this you get an automatic small payment for this you get an automatic
small payment for this you know I've just purchased janitorial supplies this
fits this quota and you piece it and then you know money gets transferred,
transferred, transferred, transferred, and I think that could be that would be
great that would be great and this could happen in the in the Fiat system and you
know it that doesn't necessarily mean that people have to be transacting ADA
but in the future ADA is going to have a lot of use cases or benefits to actually
holding ADA you know you're gonna probably be able to stake your ADA at
the exact same time that you're performing this contract which will
allow you to actually reverse this entire process so instead of getting a
high interest loan maybe safeguarding your money in a way that will provide
you interest overtime so it will allow your small business to grow and you can
tap into that liquidity pool whenever and interoperate between that native
cryptocurrency and your general fiat system so if you need the dollars real
quick you can get into that or you need euros real quick or you can get into
that it's quick and I think that this is where we're going I think
this is where we're going we're going towards this ultimate interoperable
cryptocurrency and there are a lot of cryptocurrencies out there it's not
gonna be a winner-takes-all, but there are huge advantages to Cardano
and they're they're smart contracting platform I'm very excited let me know

Which 7-seater SUV should you buy between VW's Tiguan Allspace, Skoda's new Kodiaq and Kia's popular Sorento? It's actually not that easy of a decision, as they're all extremely spacious, practical, safe and well-equipped
Starting with interior design and build quality, Mat Watson of Carwow was surprised to find that the perceived quality in the Kodiaq was better than the Tiguan's
Meanwhile, the Sorento left him pleasantly surprised as well.When it comes to rear passenger room, all three models offer plenty of it, although tall people might have a slight issue as far as headroom is concerned on the Sorento, if they opt for a version with the panoramic glass roof
Otherwise, you really can't complain.Which is more car-like to drive? That would be the Tiguan, which compared to the Kodiaq, also offers a quieter ride
Yet, if comfort is your main concern, getting the Kodiaq with its optional adaptive suspension makes for a very solid idea, although the Kia is pretty good in that department as well
However, unfortunately for the Sorento, its engine isn't as smooth as the power unit shared by the Skoda and the VW
In the end, the reviewer concluded that the Skoda Kodiaq deserves to win this comparison test as it offers you the best all-round value, which to us feels a bit like an underdog-type of result seen as how it's still a new nameplate, whereas both the Tiguan and the Sorento are well-established models

How Does Skoda's New Scala Stack Against The Audi A3? - Duration: 4:46.Since we brought up this topic during our recent Scala article following its official unveiling, we figured we should dive deeper into just how well Skoda's newest 5-door hatchback compares to the Audi A3 Sportback
Of course, it goes without saying that differences in build-quality, performance and driving dynamics are to be expected, since one of the two is the VW Group's flagship 5-door hatchback offering, whereas the other is more budget-oriented
The two VW Group models share a similar silhouette, that of a condensed compact wagon, if you will, that's accentuated by the rear fourth window
Compared exclusively to the Audi, you could make a case for the Scala having a slightly more modern design, although we wouldn't go as far as to say that it's better looking than the A3 Sportback, whose styling is a lot less detailed with far fewer lines and creases breaking into the overall aesthetic
What's interesting though is that the Scala has a slightly longer wheelbase than the A3 at 2,649 mm (104.3in) versus 2,637 mm (103.8in).It also has a bigger trunk, with 467 liters (16.5cu.ft) available with the backseat in place.
The Audi? Just 380 liters (13.4cu.ft).So then what does this mean? Would you enjoy much greater practicality in the Scala than in the A3? Hard to say, especially since people who actually get excited by such differences in size and volume are usually best suited by cars from superior segments, like mid-sized
To put it plainly, if the Scala's trunk capacity got you really excited, then we could argue that what you actually need is something like the Octavia Combi, which has a 610 liters (21.5cu.ft) trunk.
Overall, if you fancy the new Skoda's triangular partial LED headlights (which are standard by the way), or perhaps its rear end design where the glass blends in with the taillights, we completely understand
Although, the current-generation A3 can be rather handsome, especially in S-line trim
Choosing which interior you'd rather have when it comes to these two models should go a little something like this: do I want a more modern-looking cabin with a more advanced infotainment system, a much larger 9.2-inch central display, LED ambient lighting, online services and a 10.25 inch Virtual Cockpit screen?
Or should I go for the Audi, which by the way has a larger digital gauge cluster at 12.3-inches, but a much smaller infotainment display.In terms of driver assistance systems, there isn't that much between them
The Scala comes with standard Lane Assist and Front Assist with City Emergency Brake systems, while Side Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Park Assist are optional extras
Meanwhile, you can also get an A3 with Adaptive Cruise Control, to go with the Pre-Sense system, Side Assist and Park Assist – most of those options can be pricey though
As for overall quality, you can see that the A3's interior features leather on the sides of the center console, more leather with contrast stitching on the door panels and we'd wager that it also has higher quality plastics and inserts
We haven't driven the Scala yet (obviously), but multiple run-ins with the A3 have taught us that it's one seriously well-built car – arguably still best in class, despite Mercedes' all-new A-Class
European buyers need only wait until the first half of 2019 to see the Scala in dealerships, and if Skoda is going to price it anywhere near where the Octavia is right now, then it might end up roughly 5,000 euros ($5,700) cheaper than an entry-level A3 Sportback in markets such as Germany
Although, in some Eastern European countries, the price difference could be even greater

Here, there are one, two,

8mm screws.
First, I'll remove this corner light.
by loosening this phillips screw
Then, pull the light out.
Twist the bulb connector to remove it.
This light has an issue.
I'll deal with it on another video
I'll remove this trim.
It has some hooks
They are hooked here and here
and on this side.
To remove the headlight,
I'll use a socket
an 8mm socket,
some extensions
for the left side and for the back
I'll start with the difficult one.
to remove the headlight
just pull it
Next, I'll disconnect it
There are four connectors
This white with black
This one is gray
after that, the headlight can be removed.

Today, I'll be replacing
the projector bulb, a Xenon bulb

To replace the bulb,
Press these tabs to remove cover
I then rotate this counterclockwise
I pull it out

grab these metal wires
and press down
then outwards towards the sides
after this,
the bulb can be taken out.
When putting the new bulb,

2019 BMW X3 - Review & Road Test - Duration: 7:16.This is the third-generation X3, BMWs compact SUV that slots between the X1 and X2 and
X4 and X5. You know if the Motor Werks folks in
Bavaria come out with any more small models they're gonna have to go to the
decimal system. You know cause they've run out of numbers. On this X the exterior
now has a sportier look for all of those off-road activities it will
presumably be doing, or more likely aggressive parking maneuvers in the
Bloomingdale's parking lot. The roof is lower creating a more athletic line from
the front axle to the A-pillar. The front fascia features a longer
three-dimensional kidney grille with new headlights and running lights. At the
rear are new taillights, twin exhaust pipes and a downward sloping roof
spoiler that cumulatively add to the vehicle's overall more aggressive and
yes muscular mien. The X3's interior fit and finishes are expectedly luxurious.
Piano black is nice, like I know it's fake, but I kind of dig this wood
finish, but you know there's badging everywhere. There and it's there and it's
there and it's there, you know it's just in case you've forgotten what you're
driving. There and it's there, and there. The dash is dramatically sparse but elegant with a
well thought-out center stack starring the touchscreen display, but there are
enough buttons to strike a nice balance between high and low tech. Good use is
made of the center console. This might be the most integrated cupholders we've
seen in a while. The low dash makes the cab feel brighter
and improves visibility. The larger head-up display you get with the Premium
Package is the same version used in the 7 Series, as is the optional digital
gauge cluster just beyond the sports steering wheel. The seats are firm but I
like how they feel even if they're a little lacking in these snazzy looks
department. No fancy Mercedes quilting in here. Legroom in the second row is okay
if you're behind me same as headroom, but a larger person
either in front or in back might have issues. The middle seat isn't really one.
Again depending on your size and the length of the trip. Your stuff might be
more comfortable because there's 29-cubic feet behind the rear seat compared
to 26.8 in the Audi Q5 ,19 behind the Mercedes GLC and 17.7 in the Porsche
Macan. Acoustics inside the cabin are much
improved over the previous generation, well controlled wind and city noise make
for a really pleasant interior experience. Okay, now let's see how it
really drives.
There's virtually zero lag from the twin-turbo 2.0-litre inline-four that
powers the X3 and shifts on the excellent 8-speed automatic transmission
are expeditious and well spaced. Even in comfort mode flip it into sport and
things become a little bit more interesting. The gears are held longer
the acceleration is more immediate.Things get a lot more BMW-y. Want more
control in quick acceleration situations? Simply hit these.
Except for the fact that I'm sitting up high doesn't really feel
like a SUV. It feels more sedan. The chassis is rigid but firm and all the
right moments and the suspension is rigid but comfortable. It really strikes
a nice balance. it's ridgomfortable. I'm so totally
making that a word. Steering has a nice resistance in my hands. It's responsive
and it's quick. I kind of feel like Goldilocks in this car. It''s a really
great driver. Both rear and all-wheel drive options are available on the X3.
Personally I'd pony up the extra $2,000 for the xDrive system with its enhanced
traction handling and off-road capabilities. I know not many of these
things are gonna get dirty but they should. So much fun! Base price on the rear
wheel drive model starts around $42,000 dollars including destination. Doing
basic math that's $44,00 for all-wheel drive. If
performance is what you're after the X3 also comes in a nearly $12,000 pricier
M-line performance edition that boasts larger intakes side skirt trim and a
diffuser style rear apron all of which are designed to improve downforce.
It's powered by BMWs twin power turbo charged 3.0-liter inline six that
makes some pretty beefed up numbers. Fuel economy numbers for the 2.0-liter X Drive
are in line with the segment. The M40i numbers are expectedly smaller but not
by much. Adding the M Performance version was an A+ move in our book, when
considering the X3's competition reads like a who's who of first world problems,
some of whom offer legitimate high performance track worthy options. The
Porsche Macan with the performance package, Audi's SQ5, the Mercedes-Benz
AMG GLC 43 and 63, and the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio. Also vying for
your luxury SUV allowance are Jaguar's F-Pace, the Lexus NX, Range Rovers Velar,
Acuras RDX and the XC60. It's a pool party and everyone is
invited. The option sheet for the X3 reads like a New Yorker article, prolific.
The dynamic handling package includes variable sport steering and sport brakes
and dynamic damper control for improved ride quality, 19-inch wheels come
standard, though you can opt for 20s or 21s. The driving assistance plus package
gets safety tech. For those who like the idea of not crashing features
including active cruise control, lane keeping assist with side collision
avoidance, front cross traffic alerts and traffic jam assist. Apple CarPlay is a
$300 option, well because it's wireless, which we actually like, and we can't wait
until this is an option that's free in every car. Android Auto is a no dollar
option because it's not offered, at least not yet. this model we're testing
comes with all of those available packages and also comes with a sticker
price of about $57,700. With rising
consumer interest in SUVs and a fierce competitive set BMW needs the latest X3
to represent them well, and it does. Sure you can find a well-equipped luxury SUV
at a lower price point, but if you're looking for a luxurious German import
that's really satisfying to drive, well this X just might mark the spot.
